Anyone else having this problem?
So to summarize: I bought Dragon Age: Origins with the blood dragon
armour and the character/quest for Shale as a free included download.
I've downloaded it and re-downloaded it several times registered the
game and contacted your customer service and the game still say's that
the files are corrupted. Yet the files work while the internet is
connected. They even work if I disconnect the internet with the Xbox
still on but once I turn it off and come back to the game later suddenly
the files are corrupted. I am unable to leave my internet cable
attached and once I've redeemed the code and downloaded the files I
don't see why I should have to.
It's frustrating and I don't know
what else to do. Suggestions?

Note that they assume that I am going to leave the internet cable attached when I said that I wouldn't.
My reply:The whole point of this is that I can have the free downloads that you
offered through the game without being connected to the internet to do
so.
Ea:
Greetings,
Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts.
Please
be informed that internet authentication is much necessary for a game
to play online as well as for downloading a content. So, I suggest you
that you must connect the internet in order to play online-game or
downloading a patch.
If you have any further questions or
concerns please reply to this email or visit our extensive knowledge
base online at http://support.ea.com.

Me:
I am not looking to play a game online, I'm looking for a way to
download the free content that you supplied with your game to my
hard-drive (while the Xbox is connected to the internet), then I want to
be able to disconnect the internet from the Xbox and still be able to
access the DLC which is downloaded and saved to my hard-drive taking up
space without the game saying that the files are corrupted. Once the the
content is downloaded I shouldn't have to stay connected to the
internet to be able to access something that is saved to my hard-drive.
None of my other games are experiencing this problem.
By the way
that link to microsoft diagnostics doesn't work.
EA:
Hi,
Thank you for getting back to us.
We are sorry but in
order access the DLC or save games that you played with the DLC, you
will need to login using your EA account. If you are not able to go
online, you will not be able to access those save games/DLC. We once
again apologize for any disappointment this may cause to you.
If
there is anything else we can help you with please let us know.
Thank
you,
Ricky
Dragon Age of Origins Customer Support
Anyone else think that this is ridiculous? I shouldn't have to keep my internet connection going to run DLC's that they said were included with the game once they are downloaded to the hard-drive. And instead of fixing the problem they've told be to post it to this forum. Anyone know what to do from here?

There is a 24-page thread about corrupted saves here:
social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/67/index/247529
Save corruption has been a problem since launch, but BioWare says they're working on a fix.

Hey switzki, I actually think he's having the DLC license problem.
Lemme go find your thread and I'll link it for him.
Edit: Here you go. Try this for sure. Worked great for me.
Oh and second edit just for kicks: Anyone reading this, please for god's sake never EVER ever call customer service for ANYTHING if you can avoid it. They aren't techies that can logically think you through problems, they're just regular people reading from scripts. They will ALMOST always tell you to do things that are completely unnecessary like deleting all your save games and wiping your hard drive. Google things yourself for pete's sake. NEVER call customer serivce unless it's your absolute last resort. (Sorry I'm not directing this to you directly original poster, I've just been wanting to post this for a while now. I hope it helps someone at some point.)

Oops. I'm not gonna lie...I saw the title and the wall of text and just skimmed the info before posting. Sorry, js1200.
