I seem to have had a problem with my character data in dragon age origins. I had to put down the game for a while to focus on school work, and when I finally returned to the game (after a few patches), my character data was missing. I wasn't in love with my characters so I just created two new ones... then a day or so ago, the game updated. However it was slowing my computer down so I cancelled the download halfway through. It never finished the update and when I started up DA:O again, my old characters were back and my new ones were gone!

Has anyone else had this problem / know how to fix it? I really was starting to fall in love with my two-handed warrior, and I put a lot of work into him...

Other things to note:
-While I was playing with my new characters, my DLC (such as Stone Prisoner, Warden's Keep, Dragon Armor, etc) was unable to install properly.
-If you care to look at my profile, the old characters are Darrian and Sakhama. The new ones are Dale and Aedan. Aedan is the one that I particularly wish to recover.
-I just finished uninstalling the local content and then reinstalling the game through steam, hoping that would fix the problem. It didn't.

Again, if anyone can help me get my data back, it would be great. Put in 30 or so hours already into this character...
