About the Blessed Age module
----------------------------------------------------
The Blessed Age is a 4 part episodic module set at the end of the Blessed Age and tells the story of various characters present in the Dragon Age lore but unexplored by existing content.

Each episode will feature a different playable character and aims to come as close to the quality of the original Dragon Age content as possible, but with a realistic scope.

About Blessed Age (Episode 1): The Rose’s Thorn
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Episode 1 have players assuming the role of The Black Rose, the legendary assassin.

“In the darkest alleys on the wrong side of town, tales of the Black Rose prosper. He was an assassin without peer, little known except by his wake of bodies--and this dagger, left in the heart of a king.” – Dragon Age lore

Features:
- 1 new specialization line specific to The Black Rose
- 80%+ custom-made levels
- Full Voice Over
- 1 - 2 hours of consistently high quality, cinematic gameplay
- and more…. ;)

Sorry for the general lack of details story-wise, we don't want to spoil it :)

Recruitment
----------------------------------------------------------
This project is being made by a small team of Dragon Age fans local to Montreal, Canada. We are not looking to expand the team by a lot, but are looking for one or two dedicated people to help us out. The team has a strong writing background and therefore we are not looking for writers, but we are looking for help with scripting and possibly art.

Again please keep in mind we want to keep the team small and manageable, so we’re only looking for one or two dedicated people. ‘Dedicated’ in this case refers a lot more to consistency and quality of work than time. Even if you are working on your own mod on the side and would like to contribute to this mod, that is fine. Whatever time you can give will be very welcome.

If you want to work on a high quality project that has a realistic scope and will actually see the light of day, send me a message here on the forums :).

Sneak Peek
---------------------------------------------------------
Here are some screenshots of some of the new areas. There will be a lot more to come :)

Granted I have not seen a ton of examples of custom exterior designs yet for DA mods, but I have to say those screenshots are some of the better looking ones so far. Nice job on the level editing. It's a lot of work, but really helps to make a module stand out as unique. Good luck with the project.

I'll second JasonNH's comments, particularly giving credit for the excellent lighting work and also the vfx of the waterfall. This is impressive work and I look forward to seeing more!

Thanks for the comments :).

To be fair the waterfall VFX is just water_fall_04 with twice the lifespan :P. Unless you mean the big one. That's the Redcliffe waterfall but the last part of it is underground since the whole thing was too high for my tastes.

Those screenshots look fantastic, it's by far the best looking exterior areas I've seen. The lighting especially is very well done. Have your team / you worked with modding before? Since you are able to deliver such quality of work.

When do you see the mod being released? I'm definitely looking forward to it.

I've made some Battlefield 2 maps but this is my first Dragon Age project.

It's gonna be a while before it's out unfortunately. The team is only 4 people and most of those are writers :). We also all work at the same place (in QA) and people are getting busier and busier on their projects at work, so our free time has been going down since we started this mod :P.

It'll get done though.

Still looking for someone to help out if anyone is looking. The best would be someone who likes doing cutscenes since that is what is consuming a lot of my time, but I'll take a 'generalist' too :).
