It didn't make me get any more pro-Cerberus. Have you tried the Kaidan one? Instead of Ashley's 'I support Cerberus but they are a terrorist organization' you get Kaidan's 'how can you work with Cerberus given what we saw them do last game?' It didn't make him look nearly as bad and it didn't really make you look all that bad, either.Giggles_Manically wrote...
Nice avatar epoch. I did wish that the writing on Horizon didnt:
make you pro-cerberus! - even paragon!
make you a jerk in many places
makes you Shepard look dumb all over the place.
I wish it went different but I guess Bioware was hoping the constant plot hammers would have numbed you by that point.

Yah ME2 was very badly written, and had more plot holes than plot.
It wasn't badly written it just wasn't as well written as the first it had a weaker plot with weaker characters and a weaker villian ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL.

Well yes it is weak compared to other games or moveis
Compared to other Bioware games:
Kotor
Jade Empire
Dragon Age
Mass Effect 1
It is bad.

I was too busy giggling at Liara trying to be a badass, to notice that.
Yeah, she doesn't do a very good job does she? you'd think she'd pick up a few tips from Shepard instead of ripping off her mom.
Her mom had bewbs to make up for it though.
And yea why couldn't she be like Garrus.

But it had TIM.
If ME2's contributions are to be sumarised in three words, it would be The Illusive Man.
But other than that, yea I felt it was somewhat lacking. Characters are extremily one dimensional that can be sumarised in one word (ironicaly, that's exactly what the ME2 trailers do), with the possible exception of Garrus but that's because we know him from the first game.
Try to sumarise any DA character in one word. It's very hard if not impossible.

I doesn't really matter it's like the president of the highschool chess club telling you he's gonna mess you up after his advanced calculus class, she's an archealogist not a vigilante cop.

"Cute" would be more accurate.
I actually love Legion. But yea "Geth" is what he is. I mean, tha's his whole purpose, to show you what the "real" Geth are like.

See there's two great things ME2 has going for it The Illusive Man and Legion! Other than that all the good stuff is just borrowed from ME1.

ah, he was talking about ashley, wasn't he. At least he didn't use the term racist. Yes, I would say she's a xenophobe. It seriously adds to her character and makes her seem more like a person. She isn't perfect, by any means, and she behaves much like a normal person would given her situation.
This.
Ashley is so real because she is not perfect. I can understand her mistrust towards aliens and of course there is an option to change her views a bit.
Tali is your standart Mary Sue. So flawless and idealistic and totally fan carzy over DudeShep. I bet she has his poster hanging in her locker.
Garrus is a trtoubled person who just can't get things right. He may be a good friendship material, but romance?

Similar to how some people want to romance Wynne so badly.

FemShep got really bad choices in ME2 Garrus the space raptor, Thane the intergalactic frog and Jacob "heavy risk" Taylor.
Also people who want to romance Wynne should be left on an ice flow to either die of exposure or drown.

Yeah the new Normandy is more like an insane asylum than a frigate, was there some sort of prerequisite that you had to be an emotional and physical wreck for the doors to open. Holy dysfunction junction commander.

When playing origins I didn't particularly read codex, just some, but During Darkspawn Chronicles, you get codex pages about various characters, and when you get Leliana's it mentions (I quote this directly) "Her skill as archery, evidence of a surprising past, brought her to the attention of the Grey Warden named Alistair, she soon joined him as an ally--and, rumor says, a lover."
This doesn't mean anything but it's still a funny possibility. I found it interesting enough to share
