How can anyone think Morrigan actually loves the warden if she keeps something like "Youre soul may go poof" just so she can have a better chance at the OGB? That is not love, that is her seeking her own ends nothing more, nothing less. Also not telling your lover why you can never see them again, just puts a damper on the whole kit and kaboodle. Say what you like but deep down I just can stand Morrigan, I dont hate her, I just dont love or like her.

And what if she did tell you that? What exactly would you do differently?

Would you run off to Orlais or some other country and leave Ferelden to it's fate? Would you refuse to kill the Archdemon?

Morrigan has her own duty just as you do. The fact that her getting the OGB also means saving the life of the person she loves makes it all the more important to her.
Why doesn't she tell you what her ultimate plan is? Maybe she doesn't want you to put yourself in danger by having you come after her or maybe the writers are pulling a dangling plot thread that can be answered in the sequal. She tells you the child won't be evil and won't object if you inform her that you'll find her anyway.
I don't blame Morrigan for doing what she considers to be her duty, especially since I'd do the same. If she asked me to abandon Ferelden and run off with her I'd have to refuse. Does that mean I don't love her? No, it means there are things that I simply must do, regardless of my feelings.

I have no problem with you not liking her, but you can't claim something to be true when both the ingame information and the writers themselves said otherwise.

Its hard to see love Shiroi when someone omits something that vital for their own ends for over a year. She does have feelings that much is certain, sorry worded badly above but I dont agree with her on it. And what exactly is too dangerous for the warden, but not a danger to her?

I just find the DR distasteful and foolish but thats just me. To me dying has happened to billions of people and will happen to billions more its not something to fear, unlike what Morrigan seems to beliveve with her banter with Wynne or her dialouge while proposing the DR.

What do you think Morrigan, raised by a woman who will do anything to survive possibly including growing her replacement body over and over again, thinks about dying? It terrifies her. She's not trying to trick you into being cowardly and that you are so afraid of what the child might do in the future actually says something about her level of honesty in that conversation so, again, I don't see her as trying to trick you.

And just because Morrigan might not handle the end of your relationship or the keeping secrets doesn't mean she doesn't love you. Just how do you think she'll know how to express that love and know what to do in a healthy relationship when she's been raised to eschew the very concept and seek power and survival instead?

You're cool with talking about entirely different games but not a different character?

We're not talking about anything right now, this conversation has the look of total stalemate where nobody gains anything.

I believe that death simply happens and that the more you fight it the worst it gets. Blame Flemeth all you wan,t Morrigan at the end chooses what she wants on her own. She keeps the full truth from her friend or lover and expects full trust from them.

Sadly if someone dosent trust me, I can never trust them. Hell Sten, Shale, Zevran, and Oghern go from broken down people into your greatest allies and friends. Morrigan dosent change, if she feels that she cant trust me, I can never trust her.

Indeed, you're hardly allowed to tell them to stay on topic.

I like Leliana, but I wont be seeing DA, with all the damn planet scanning in ME2. God I would listen to Bodhan's or any merchants line a thousand times than keep doing that crap.

I wasn't saying stay on topic I was saying this whole "Does Morrigan love the warden" conversation is as pointless as the "Is Alistair justified in the landsmeet" and the "Did Loghain know about the Couslands". People seem to love having the same bunch of "discussions" (and I use the term loosely) over and over again. I just don't see the point anymore at the end of some tortuous debate nobody is going to declare victory hold aloft a sword and found a kingdom.

You are on PC just get a savegame editor and give yourself like a million of each element, problem solved.

If it bothers you that much Giggles just use the save editor to give yourself more minerals, not sure it's worse than "Dwarven crafts, fine dwarven crafts, direct from Orzammar. You won't find better." myself, but it's certainly more hasstle than it's worth.

Edit: Bah, now I look stupid... Well I'm not changing it.

As I said, if you don't like her or the DR that's fine. You're entitled to your opinion.

I won't pretend to understand why you feel the need to bring that subject up time and again. I believe we all got the message already.

That said I'm going back to discussing Leli, since that is what this thread is for anyway. As much as I enjoy talking about Morrigan, I'll do that in her own thread.

And, as Adeante pointed out, this kind of discussion is getting pointless since we're just beating a dead horse.

Wait, are you telling me that the guy who voiced Gorim and Oghren also voiced Wilson?

Because I can't believe I never noticed that...

Yeah he's also the main character in Bulletstorm, so you get to hear Gorim calling people dicks.
He's also Grunt and one of the Cerberus officers on the Normandy. Plus in DA he's also the First Enchanter in addition to being Gorim and Oghren.

Bioware pass around voice actors like biscuits, I almost wish I hadn't played DA before ME because I couldn't help noticing them. Morrigan, Loghain and Avernus talking about robots had to be the worst, but I guess it would've been worse to play them the other way around.

So, in an attempt to gt this back on topic, what do you people usually choose as Leliana's second specialization? Do you build her as an archer or go for duel-wielding?

Bard Duelist and a pure Archer.

Edit: The fact that in the DLC she's a dual-wield rogue upsets me a bit, but I'm sure I'll mod the hell out of it before I even start my first playthrough.
