Yes Alistair's chantry times pack, searching for cheese, combing your hair and being upset at your lot in life. Better content for a DLC pack I know not.

You don't think the story of him becoming a Warden could be interesting? He alluded to some trouble in getting this to happen, after all.

IMO in the DLC Leliana looks sexier than in Origins.
Of course she is younger, still. Stupid Marjolaine, Oo. I have a save just before her confrontation in Origins, how 'bout I kill her ? >:D

Its the same face model actually. They just switched the hair.

My ONLY complaint about the dlc was they obviously used the same va for marjolaine and dorethea. That sort of confused me at first. I thought marjolaine was talking to me when I was in the dungeon. I was like, wut?

But that's hardly worth fussing over.

you're not the first person to mess up like that. I forget how to now, but it's easy to screw up if you're going fast.

*jaw drops* D-dalish! 'bout time you showed up

.... I popped in here before the thread even reached the 100's...  I just don't post in here often, because I haven't been particularly interested in most topics discussed here, despite my Leliana fangirlishness. *Shrugs* I've not interest in debating vanilla Leli vs mod Leli (though I do fall into the "vanilla Leli" camp, I don't really care what other people use in their games) and most things discussed in this thread I've covered and talked about countless times in other places and just don't feel like debating again, that's all.

And that's not meant as a bashing of this thread - it's not a criticism nor a call to change things, simply an explanation of why I'm not here all too often.

Well I'll put up a few of mine then I'll quickly review the DLC.

If you played it you probably know this scene, what a bummer huh?

As for the quality of the DLC itself, apart from a strange issue with some character creator files in my override folder there seems to be no game breaking or even noticable bugs which is quite welcome. The bonus item is par for the course, Tier 7 leather armor no new model and fairly high stats nothing to get excited about if you own the PC version you could have made it yourself. The combat is very challenging at times, Leliana is half speced for Archery and DW this makes her a sort of jack of all trades master of none. You have two other party members a sword and shield tank warrior and a spirit healer mage, potions and grenades are few and far between and you can't just spam them to get through tough fights.

As for the story it's a slightly embellished telling of Leliana's past but it's incredibly well done, the Mass Effect style conversation allow surprising freedom in developing Leliana during the course of the game. Surprisingly they make Leliana seem like a tortured sympathetic character, without making you feel that hardening her was a bad choice. A real bonus is that your party members are great, and dispite only knowing them for a short time they are instantly likeable.

All and all if they are planning more DLC packs with this level of polish and story then I think we're all going to be very happy no matter which party member of Origins was your favourite. Plus a cameo by what appears to be one of parents of The Warden and possible hints at DA2 make for interesting stuff to think about in the future.

I have a hard time believing that "trouble" would have involved Duncan slaughtering Templars and Priests to get Alistair out of the monastary but that's just me. Without combat they really don't have much for the player to do so they probably wouldn't make said DLC since it wouldn't sell . . .

I really, really want this DLC. Really want. Though I've never bought a DLC before, only gotten the free ones (for my PS3 version). I'm not entirely sure how to, though I've never actually tried - my mother has made me kind of paranoid about bying things off the net.

It's identical to Wade's Drakeskin Leather Armor.

There's always the possibility of encountering darkspawn and didn't Alistair have to enter a tournament in order for Duncan to see him? Although I don't think he actually won said tournament.

So I lose a tournament and then get picked anyway and fight a handful of darkspawn, take a ring and then wait around for the player character to show up. Sorry I just don't see DLC potential there.
