Question for you though...would you want Leliana back in DA2 without the Warden?

Nope, I wouldn't really want to see any old companions unless I'm on my origins character, certainly not as companions. I doubt they'd go to the trouble of getting the old voice actors back and then trying to shoehorn them back into the story just to have the forums explode in "She should be dead!" posts anyway, seems better all around to just come up with some new characters.

Too bad, Leliana's probably my favourite Bioware companion, or maybe joint favourite with Imoen but the whole sibling connection makes that a bit wierd.

Have we ruled out more major Origins addons? I seem to remember reading somewhere that there would be more content involving the warden but it may have been something someone on these forums made up.

Well... I have to admit.. I did get bored with ME1 still haven't finished.. and all my new games I've gotten so far are sitting on the shelf. including ME2 . why? Because I've been having so much fun with this game, DA:O and it's DLCs.. If and I pray NOT DA 2 is like ME I will literally cry.. and all my other new games will get played. and I'll probably keep playing this one.. I've got many combinations and 2 more levels to play at.

I wouldn't hold out hope Zeleen, ME2 sold way more copies than DA:O so it's the better game. Dragon Age has to become it, since not doing so might not provide the predicted amount of net growth for EA's quarterly report. Joint Stock companies don't care about anything other than net growth and they'll do anything to hit their targets, besides people don't care anyway they'll buy any BioWare game without question. Mass Effect is the future of all BioWare products get used to it.

I'm just waiting for the announcement that DA2 won't have a toolset.

Yeah wouldn't that be great, they make it crap and won't let us fix it ourselves.

EA/Bioware said themselves DA:O was/is the most successful franchise they have ever had.

Im sure Mass Effect did better in the US console market, and that seems like the only thing EA cares about.

DA:O was #8 on console sales while ME2 did not even break the top ten.

If it did so well why do they feel hell bent on driving it into the ground as quickly as possible. You can't honestly believe that the total lack of continuity is a good thing for the franchise.

On a completely unrelated note, Hawke has to be the cheesiest name I can think of to call a protagonist. When I heard that the PC was going to be called that, I thought it was a joke.

So, the DLC was the last we saw from her?

Goodbye Leliana :crying:

Well we never know what will happen in DA 3 and beyond, but for the next few years, I'm afraid it's safe to assume so :(

I do believe that we will see Leli one way or another in DA2, but in a way that will probably suprise us. Although DA2 will seem to have far more companions, I am sure that one way or another the characters we knew and loved will show up some way.

In ME2, Ash and Kaidan were there, despite being cameo roles. There is the promise of them in ME3, and that is something I will hold onto. Ash is worth it for me, so is Leliana. I am an eternal optomist I guess

I gave her a sort of bun/pony tail for Leliana's song. I wanted her to have longer hair, since when we meet up with Marjolaine in Origins she remarks about cutting off her hair.

I just finished Leliana's song, and I really liked it, I just wish it was longer! Zeleen told me to post my Leli pictures in here, so I am! They're Leli-esque, since she's morphed :)

And just because she's so cute

Nice job on the hairstyle! This is how I truly imagine Leli during her bardic adventures. ;)

I could not think of anything I'd want less than for her to show up in DA2. My Warden is dead under a rock and she's skipping along like she never existed, following Shep- I mean Hawke around in a sequel. How in god's name does that make any sense at all, what purpose could she possibly have in a sequel. We know her backstory, without the warden around forward character growth is pointless so in the end it's pointless fanservice that mangles the original storyline and cheapens the character.

SSSSSSSSSSSPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRTTTTTTTAAAAAA!!

-sorry an the EA marketing team assumed direct conrtol of me there folks.

I am going to wait but at best we are looking at a Seven Samuri/Gears/300 game with little dialouge and a boring plot, with overdone charachters.

On a side note if Leliana was real I would so be taking her to the stampede today,.

Well as its a sequel, they're going to change the gameplay. Were people expecting the game to use the exact same engine again? If they didn't change the gameplay then people would **** and moan about that. I'll need to wait and see the changes before I completely lose anticipation for the game.

Good news everyone! Hawke is confirmed as voiced and the game uses the same engine and takes place during the same timeline as Origins!

I think something might be wrong with me, but I actually hate Marjolaine LESS after playing this. In Origins she really came off as someone one-dimensional who was toying with Leliana and who didn't care that she destroyed her life but in this...she tried to talk Leliana down but she wouldn't be placated. I could SEE the moment where she decided it was a lost cause. Yes, Leliana was arguing that this was wrong and put Marjolaine in danger but, like she revealed at the end, all Marjolaine could see was the threat Leliana could become. The Game really did destroy her in the end and even if I still think she's a despicable person, I think I understand her better now.

Considering the AMPED UP and INTENSIFIED and  MORE VISERAL COMBAT and MOAR! in general taglines were all used pre ME2 I am not exactly overjoyed at the hints of what we are getting to date.

Well I'm looking forward to it even if I'm the only one. It sounds like they've done alot to the combat, maybe even changed it completely, but the combat is only really there to carry the story as far as I'm concerned, and unless they suddenly laid off all the DAO writers there's no reason to assume that won't be as good as Origins.
