I played as a Mage in Oblivion I deserve an I WIN AGAIN button after that, I treat Arcane Warrior as a passive ability anyway though Blood Mage is pretty powerful I make ya right on that. You can usually cast Blood Wound before the previous effect has worn off but that's besides the point Mages are cool.

In TES games I am always a Sword and Board bloke who uses Alteration spells/Destruction spells.

I miss the ability to levitate or water walk in Oblivion.

I eventually settled in on a Spellsword, primarily a magic based class but with heavy armor and blade and block training. You can't levitate but you can walk on water in Oblivion.

Since I am bored out of my mind I am thinking of writing a fanfic for the site.

It will feature Leliana (of course) but I want to try and do a take on the human barbarian origin since no one I know has done it yet.

What do the rest of you think? I am willing to give it a shot and pump out a prolouge chapter if I can get people behind it. Just need to do some reasearch on it and find an old How to book on writing fantasy by David Eddings I have.

Why don't you just work on a mod for DA or if you want to pull your hair out try modding for ME2, I write essays and research papers so I can't exactly help you write a story. Modding is pretty fun though I recommend it.

I hate programming or using PC programs to fiddle with stuff. Grade 11 Comp Sci was a pain and not just for that special kid in the back.

I want to write it but work is hard and reapplying to school is taking my time.

I love it because of the challenge, Mass Effect 2 doesn't want to be modded at all so modding it just makes it all the sweeter. Right now I'm upping the spare ammo capacity of the Vindicator Assault rifle and the Hand Cannon heavy pistol as well as the Sniper Rifles, always bugged me that Shepard only carried like 4 mags into combat when we take a C7 out everyone is carrying 2000 rounds.

I play biotic/tech classes for the most part guns are redundant at this point.

If you take Warp Ammo not so much, since Warp Ammo is basically effective against everything and it allows you to strip defenses so you can hit them with your Biotic attacks.

Ammo Piercing is the best since it adds pure damage to all attacks, plus it tears health and armour better than anything else.

No. While AP ammo does added damage to armour and heath it lacks the ability to deal with Biotic barriers Warp ammo does extra damage to Biotic barriers, armour and health with only shields not getting a bonus. AP ammo can deal high damage but on Hardcore and above the lack of effectiveness against barriers really hurts and requires either a secondary ammo power which takes away cooldown time from casting something more useful like Adrenaline Rush or Warp as you switch between them. So for any class the best ammo power to choose is always Warp ammo since shields are easy to neutralize with an Assault Rifle or SMG but Barriers are a real SOB to whittle down and Warp ammo still gives you added damage against armour and health to a max of +50% of base damage.

Warp ammo > everything else. With it, you only have to invest in the one power, so then you can focus on all the others.

Since so few foes have barriers vs every foe that has health or armour. AP ammo is better.

This isn't up for debate.

That would be true if the bonus for AP Ammo didn't only really work out at the extreme end of the power, the majority of the game Warp ammo holds it's own against AP for everything only at the evolve power does AP have the possibilty to out preform Warp substantially but again without the ability to deal with Barriers you have to pump rounds into enemies like Eclipse Vanguards, Harbinger, Collector Guardians and Praetorians and expose yourself to counterfire or find some other way to strip these defenses but taking AP as a bonus power usually eliminates the most useful ways to do so. Warp Ammo wins out over AP since it is effective against everthing and you have no need to ever change the power and you can instead spam the useful talents like Adrenaline Rush and Warp. If you only play on Veteran and lower than you can choose whatever you want but on Hardcore and above you have to spec properly or you'll get your ass handed to you on a regular basis. It's the choice between a conditionally effective ammo power and a universally effective ammo power, it shouldn't be as contentious an issue as it is.

New patch. Has anyone tried playing Awakening with it?

How do you get Leliana's letter?

I haven't just saw the Steam Update go live should give it a go, I assume from the way the code in Awakening is handled it should come to you through that woman standing in front of the keep who gives you messages and stuff.

Edit: I loaded up a save before I ever talked to the messenger after just retaking the keep and I already had it so you must get it as soon as Awakening starts.

Nope apparently you had it the whole time and just decided to read it during a Darkspawn assault, or something I'm not really sure.

By that point only Oghern would eat it.

Maybe Sigrun but thats a different story.

In Awakening i felt so bad killing all those starving villagers but I tried to persuade them really!

But anywho who runs at:

The Commander of the Grey

Senechal Veral and Captian Garel

An Undead Grey Warden

An Apostate mage

And Nathaniel is stupid.

And we all know what Wrex has to say on that.
