Okay. I can only use XBox live from the basement and I don't want to have to drag my XBox all the way down there if I don't have to.
I drilled holes in the floor for my Xbox's connection though in hindsight I probably shouldn't have since I don't really use it . . . ah well that's what wood fill is for or so I'm told.

There is a limit to our download rate, so I do it at school, <evil laugh>
If they have Hawke in Lothering at the start I think it would be cool to see the Warden and company leaving or arriving right? Or being able to talk to Leliana at the start as well.
I dont think Corrina Kempa has said if they brought her on for 2 yet.

Doubt it and I don't think they had anything for her after Leliana's song, or so I've heard. Honestly I don't want to see her in DA2 since for me she is tied to The Warden and having her show up in DA2 would be pointless fanservice and nothing else there is no reason for her to be in the Free Marches or have any interaction with Hawke and his sister. Trying to put her in DA2's story would only lead to disaster and I'd prefer them to leave her with The Warden on the sidelines.

She doesn't have to be in the Free Marches: she lives in Lothering and that's where you start off from.adneate wrote...

I still don't see the point of having her in DA2 since she's a nobody in Lothering and any appearance would just be fanservice, maybe a brief cameo might work but after Awakening I'm hesistant to believe they could even pull that off without fracking it up.

Maybe his shear awsomeness and ampedness got to Sten and stunned him into his new self.
Oh wait Sten is cooler than Hawke so maybe all the awsomeness of Hawke is just residual Sten aura.

This post is scaring Liara look she's terrified!

Also I finally got Riona to Orzammar, forgot how cool and short Dwarves are poor Riona has to aim downwards to bring the thunder that is longbow archery to Orzammar. Seriously though Riona and Leliana are beasts on the battlefield now, the damage they can deal is insane most fights don't lass more than 45 seconds since they both can spam enemies down with Scattershot and kill elites with Arrow of Slaying for 300+ damage a piece.

Also the bow replacer mod is great now the Longbows look like something a human being could actually draw.

Orzamar is fun, but I hate the grind of the deep roads.
Although I can imagine most of my wardens sneaking off with leliana behind a rubble pile every so often. Especially my Dalish Maheron who had bad claustraphobia. Luckily Leliana was at hand to distract him from all the rocks and Oghern.

Standard Longbows of the Medieval period were between 5 and half feet and 6 feet tall. English ones at least.
Well the mod just makes them thinner which is sort of what was wrong with them since a bow as thick as the ones in Dragon Age would have a draw weight well in excess of 150lbs and would be beyond human endurance.

Skeletal remains show that English Archers had deformed arms, and spurs on them for the constant strength it required them to use.
In DA they seriously should replace the DEX requirements for bows with strength or add strength in as well, but seriously Leliana would need body builder arms to pull one back. Clearly she has lovely, girly ones not Arnold ones in game.

I know I wrote a paper on medieval weaponry at the University, 150lbs was the standard draw weight for a longbow since anymore would have been too exhausting for an archer to fire in volleys. Constant practice was what caused the deformed arms and tension fractures on the skeletal remains, not the draw weight itself since 150lbs isn't an excessively high number. However many hours of drawing that bow, holding it to aim and then releasing it took an incredible toll on the body.
Strength does modify the damage attribute for a longbow in Origins but with Lethality you can use Cunning instead, I guess Leliana fights with intelligence not brute force. I suppose then that it makes sense she uses Marjolaine's recurve in the game since a compound recurve bow would have a lower draw weight while delivering a similar amount of power as a longbow.

To him there is nothing hotter than a girl with a bow, and red hair. Sucka never had a chance after that.
It sucks that Longbows are the only proper bows in the game, shortbows worked just as well and were as powerful at short ranges, especialy the recurves.
I wish I could find it since I have an animation that showed what 5500 longbow arrows would have looked like in a volley, sheer awsome it was.

That being said, I think that Corinne Kempa is going to become a BioWare regular in the future, like Kimberly Brooks, Mark Meer, Jennifer Hale and so on. I have to admit, hearing her voice with another character will be hard to get used to. Same thing with Ms. Brooks, I always see Ashley when I hear her voice.

I am in agreement.. seeing as DA2 is taking place at the same time as Origins... at least starting there.... it wouldn't be cohesive to have Leliana in the game unless the entire Origins party is... and it seems that Origins went in one direction of Thedas and DA2 is in a different part ... (although we may catch a fleeting glance of her by the Lothering chantry)
that being said.. I'm still playing around as I take breaks from packing and work

So I just started my last full run in DA, as a Mage, and damnit I cant try to romance Morrigan I am sorry, but Leliana got me again. She is really good at that whole seduction things I guess.
Really? She always seems a little bit distant to a male warden in the game, you have to go for her at just the right time or it's game over and you're stuck in friendville population you. It's a female warden where she tries the whole seduction route though it doesn't seem to go as smooth as one would expect from a former Bard, but regardless she comes to you and not the other way around.

As a male warden just compliment her alot and off you go to Caramel Pudding Nookie land.
Havent romanced her as a female though, so I dont know the difference between the two yet.

The big difference is once you get her approval over +25 the next time you talk to her in camp she starts the "Hair Conversation" the whole point of which is her (rather awkwardly) trying to flirt with a female warden to see if she'd be open to a relationship with her. In general she seems to be a little bit more comfortable with a female warden, which makes sense when you consider what she's been through and the fact that the only relationship we know she's ever had was with another woman.
