We got spammed down by lots of new topics plus I'm busy and stuff. Besides as much as I like Leliana (which is a lot) I've realized that I like Ama more I'm like the Okeer of face morphs I've done horrible things in the pursuit of perfection.

Alistair has been very lonely for quite some time, in fact I almost feel bad for him since the two women he flirts with in the party end up with each other. He doesn't get the pretty healer or the redheaded bard, I wonder if he gets really low self-esteem after Ama leaves him for a woman?



Plus I have a personal aversion to the Alistair romance and Zevran's um . . . everything.

I found his romance as meh, as well as Morrigan's.



Zevran's was touching, but all my PC's eventually drift to Leliana.



It is funny to hear alistair accuse you of being with another womane over him.

Alistair's romance isn't bad my any means but after going through it once I don't think I could put myself in the mental state to ever hear him say those things again without wanting to be sick. It's not a knock against it, mainly me I'm the problem I can't take it.

I like Morrigan's but it's depressing as all hell given how the DR turned out in the game and that The Warden and co. seem to be getting the shaft in DA2: MaXcore Xtreme. I like stories with endings not the last chapter torn out while the author screams at me to shut up and read his next book that is way better.

As for Zevran, well I've never actually gone through it in the actual game just the toolset. I can't stand Zev's VA at all, so that makes it very difficult to see it through to the "end" since I've never really kept him alive and the one time I did I pissed him off and he betrayed me in Denerim and I killed him anyhow.

I like to follow Leli's romance since it goes through a regular process:

Meeting, Flirting, Getting to know each other, Gift Giving, Killing of old bosses, a true connection forming, and then a very powerful culmination.



What makes it the best is she actively chases the Warden to and does the inviting. All the while not being so nervous about it.



The best part is the shut-up kiss and her delivery of "well that settles it", at least to me.

It is the best Warrior Skillset to use Berserker on.

I've done it before I just sorta stopped part way through last time and then ended up just replaying my mage Ama again.





I will remain strong though, I'm through the Fade so the worst part is over.

Although a good two hander can clean up as well as any other spec, and can tank pretty well in the end. Just get a lot of stamina!

I actually like the deep roads, lots of things to kill and on Nightmare it can be pretty challenging at times especially those stupid corrupted spiders.

I HATE OVERWHELM.



Besides that though by that point in the game with Ageless, Yusaris, Starfang, or the Cashind Great Maul you cant be stopped by any mob. 2H swing will absolutley demolish people and with the right party (Leliana) you end many fights in your sleep.



Just keep a watch on your stamina and save it up to keep a few powerful attacks in reserve.

Overwhelm is annoying but it's not really all that dangerous, maybe if they go for your mage but there are plenty of ways to break the attack. Personally I think either Force Field, Dirty Fighting or Blood Wound are the best options since they pretty much always work. Blood Wound is the best since it stops all Overwhelm attacks in a wide area, always handy to have a blood mage around just for that one spell.

I was meh on Blood Mage, Arcane Warrior and Spirit Healer are my perfered ones. Mainly since my mage is always a supportive rather than offensive builld.



However Wynne as a arcane Warrior is hilarious, granny is packing a two HANDER!

Blood Mage is really powerful, it's probably on par with Arcane Warrior in terms of sheer usefulness probably even more so since Blood Mage allows you to have two mana bars and cast the best control spell in the game. A primal Blood Mage Warden is pretty much an unstoppable killing machine by level 14 since every mob is paralyzed at the start of battle by Blood Wound then you just hurl Fireball in the middle and follow it up with all your directed attack spells. Taking Arcane Warrior as your second specialization allows you to forgo the the second warrior or even a tank all together since your armoured mage should be tough enough to lead from the front. I always go for a maximum offensive mage and I fight with Staff and spell even when an Arcane Warrior.

All my mages dont get along with Morrigan, they give it their best but her belief that circle mages are just pathetic grates.



I always get Primal, Mana Clash, and the Mage Tree all filled up. Its pretty fun as a Spirit Healer since you can keep your entire party running no problem in a fight.

Also I thought I could squeak through just one more playthrough but now I have three in the wings. DAMN YOU BIOWARE DAMN YOU!

I have 7 fully designed characters and I've only finished 2 with one more in progress, I really want to get at my Blood Mage but two-hand should be distracting enough to keep me from caving an playing another mage.

I have played through many times but now I really want to do an:

Angry human hating City Elf who falls for Leliana, and does the US route- very Shakespearen

Dual-Axe wielding Dwarf Commenor, who is slightly crazy

Repentant Blood Mage, who does his utmost to conceal his ability from others - X men

and Finally actually make a saucy Elf Mage who romances Zevran and lets Alistair go kaboom.



This is why I like Dragon Age since it allows a person to create such varied charachters as compared to a JRPG.
