I was thinking abou this: Leli could be considered "clingy," but it is done in such a way that I really like and enjoy it. In real life I can't stand clingy people, because they never give you freedom or a chance to be yourself. I get the feeling that with Leli, she will give you all of that and more. So long as you love her, don't cheat or do things against her religious views, she is quite happy to go with the flow. With her, you know that she can be trusted and will always have your back, unlike some clingy people in real life.

Clingy is probably a poor word to describe it since as you mention she doesn't act the way we normally associate with the word. She is very attached to The Warden, she has no family and judging by the way she talks about her time in the cloister she probably hasn't even had a real friend in years. Besides she's 27 years old when you meet her I imagine by that point she knows what she wants in another person.

Yeah that's the number the toolset gives for her age, It's not always right about everthing but with Leliana I think it's pretty much right on the money. In a conversation with Wynne she remarks that it's difficult to believe that Leliana has been through so much at such a young age and Leliana responds with saying "I think I look younger than I am."

It does however some characters were revised prior to launch and their character sheets were never updated Alistair originally was supposed to be 30 but they changed it to 21 when they actually put the character together.

Oghren: 35

Loghain: 50

Zevran: 24

Morrigan: 30

Wynne is 55 according to the toolset, it seems the 60 might be the longest the average Human can expect to live in Thedas making The Warden's expected age of calling (51) not too bad in terms of life expectancy.

The age thing dosent freak me out that much really Leliana is at most 7 years older than the warden. As oggy and Zevran like to say "I can appreciate a womane with experience."

Then again 30 years in the Qun does mature you rapidly.

Thanks, you seem to be able to put into words what I struggle to express how I feel about our favorite bard. The 27 year old age sounds pretty right to me, it fits well.

Word of God from David Gaider says that the character ages in the toolset was a guideline for the voice actor for a vocal range. Here's the link where he says it: http://social.biowar...453627/1#463285

What I gather from Leliana saying "I think I look younger than I am" is that she may appear to be in her late teens, when she really may be in her mid-20s.

Is it accurate? I'd switch Morrigan and Leliana. Lels strikes me as more in her late 20's, considering everything she's been through and her experience in life. Zev seems to be older as well.

Well that would be why I said they weren't 100% accurate and more useful as a guideline range, and for comparison against their behaviour in the game . . .

Not 100% it's a good place to start guessing the age of characters but as I've said they've contradicted the info in there before (Alistair is listed as 32 in the toolset while Gaider said he's 21). Seeing the number in the toolset and seeing how Leliana acts in the game and what her background is I think late twenties is probably right. As for Zevran I dunno, just going by his Vanilla Morph he looks really old and haggered maybe a hard living 30 year old but people who know the character seem to swear up and down that he's really young, maybe they just want to believe that I can't really say. Morrigan is another difficult one I'd guess that she's around Leliana's age, but I couldn't pin down a hard number for the life of me. At any rate The Warden is younger than anyone else in the party.

That makes sense I figured she was older than Leliana (I'd peg as mid to late twenties) not by a lot but still she came across as someone who had a considerable amount of past experinces prior to meeting The Warden.

As for the age difference between The Warden and the two female LI's it doesn't bother me clearly The Warden is an individual with a very powerful and very mature personality, others are naturally drawn towards individuals like this. Plus I'm pretty sure really young heroes are a fantasy trope.

Nah...to me, the Warden's age range varies between which origin you choose.

Here's my idea of the age ranges:

• The Human Noble is around 22-25. Fergus seems to be in his late-20s, since he's married and has a 5-7 year old son. No real pressure to get into an arranged marriage.
• The Dwarven Noble is around 23-26. Middle child and all, as Trian looks to be around 30 and Bhelen looks to be in his early 20s.
• The Dwarven Commoner is around the same range as the Dwarven Noble, maybe a year younger.
• Magi, both human and elven, are around 19-22. The "recruitment" takes place whenever they show magical ability, which is usually from 6-12.
• The City Elf seems to be the youngest, and I'm not that sure about the age range for them.
• Finally, the Dalish Elf, which is the strangest to gauge. Safest bet to me is early to mid 20s.

Like I said, that's my take on the Warden's age ranges. Take it for what you will.

No problem. Anyways, that's the thing with generally ambiguous ages: everyone has their own opinion on how old everyone is.
