Two Tanks, a Rouge (leliana usually) and a Mage is how I run most of my games.



But yes I almost missed Leliana the first time but I accedintly opened the door, and viola one Leliana.

The Warden Character is powerful enough that you can pretty much force your way through the game with any combination of characters and classes. Though in general I always tend to have Leliana and Morrigan in my party then I choose the other person based off what class my Warden is.

Leliana and Dog are the easiest companions to miss.

Sad since they are my faves.



Playing as the warden is very fun at high levels. Especailly as an elemental mage or a two hander.

Leliana as a rouge archer works out very well for me as well.

The dog was a mandatory character for me...


I'll admit, he was a camp camper for everything after Ostagar...

Get the Extra dog slot mod if you are on PC.

Should be in the default game but sadly since Dog is outclassed by every single Companion in game then he never gets to go anywhere.

My dog goes everywhere and is extremely useful. He killed the archdemon. He is that awesome. xD

Dog also has dialouge with Sophia Dryden and a few others.

Apparently people claim he barks around NPC's who are lying.



QUICK: Write out how Leliana and Dog would have had a dialouge in camp like the ones Sten, Alistair, Wynne, and Morrigan got.

Dog is immune to grabbing attacks, so against enemies like Flemeth or the Broodmother he is very useful if you know how to use him. I've seen plenty of people say the whole sucks on high difficulty thing about Leliana too.

Dog: (barks happily and pounces onto Leliana)

Warden: 1)(Break them up)

3)(Walk away) *ends scene*

Option 1:

Leliana: Oh thank you so much... you know they say that the Mabari take after their owners in many ways...

Dog: (wags tail)

Option 2:

(Leliana pushes dog off)

Leliana: And to think I though you were of noble character, but your no better that that... Bon Bon

Dog:(Whines and walks away at rejection)

I play Leli as a Bard, and ranged... she may have DW but that's on the side.. she is too awesome with the bow. My group is PC, Leli, Alistair and when I get her Wynne.

If you're on the PC and don't mind a bit of Lore inconsistency you can edit her UTC file and make her a Dual-Wield Warrior and put her in all the sexy golden armour you want with no downsides.

Things seem to be getting back on track now, but I noticed a fair bit of divergence into DA2 conversation over the last few pages. If anyone wants to discuss DA2 there is a forum for that. Alternatively, it can be taken into a group.

As well, I noticed sizable amount of spam on my trip back to my previous post here. It wasn't nearly as bad as last time I swept this thread, but there was enough that it bears mentioning. To Adneate and Giggles_Manically in particular: posting meme images is spam. Posting images that have nothing to do with Dragon Age or add little substance to your posts are also spam.

Excessive spam or derailment will lead to a lock. I ask everyone avoid either in the future. Thank you.

Zjarcal, what bow does Leliana have in that shot? Is it a fanmade bow, or available in the vanilla?



Anyway, Leli looks cute in anything, but the huge armor doesn't seem to go with her character, imo. I always imagined that a huge part of her danger was how... safe she seems lol.

It's just the standard Human longbow made out of Elm.

Really... the decorative ends are nice-- perhaps I just never noticed them before. I been tired lol.

Might have been the way the tint system works those ends don't always look like metal, the tier 1 tints are actually really nice too bad they are useless by the time you get out of the Origin.
