Hello Leli- supporter ^^

I need toolset help concerning dialogue, as I'm a poor console player.

Aaanyway... I'd have asked my homies in the Ali-thread but in fear of a new banhammer I rather came over here to ask.

Can someone give me the whole conversation Leliana has with an elf, preferably with a Dalish? I'd need that for my fanfiction very soon, and sadly I have no savegame near that convo, so it would be great if someone could help me out.

If you check with Addai67 she has the convo and a few versions in her youtube account.

Overall her convo shows her ignorance of the Dalish, and makes it seems she has only heard stories of them, never met one.



But if you PM addai67 I am sure she could hook you up.

Or she wouldsimply  glare you to death. No actually she is a nice girl, really, If she wants to. She just can't stand Leliana for quite a few reasons and this "hey elves are so pretty to look at, like trained dogs" Conversation won't make it any better They will get around, eventually, but that is hard work to do for Leli. Because for Lenya it is yay or nay at the first impression and if one fails then it's hard to change it, though not impossible.

Though there ARE indeed good ones. Understanding for example, or the ones of Addai and Sandtigress...but overall I'm all meh about the Dalish stories there.(Dunno about the Zevran/Mahariel ones because I'm a total Ali/Mahariel girl) Especially the Dalish highschool- girl I instantly hug and love every human in sight Dalish Warden are weird to me...but to each their own, I guess. *shrug*

No, you only get the chance for that in the origin of the Dalish or city elf. Unfortunately.

Anyway here a Leliana for derailing this thread with my rambling. Love the the sacred ashes look a lot more than the original one. btw

 You know, I really like that look, but I'm so used to vanilla game Leliana that it just doesn't look like her anymore. I'm sure if one plays with a mod installed for a while, that version becomes their 'canon' look. 

It's all good though... until someone mods her blonde or something...

One of the problems in the original is the lighting.

It throws off charachters skin tones and hair colours BADLY in the vanilla version.



The mods that throw out the weapon buff VFXs and tweak the lighting scales are awsome.

Give me a sec to find them.

Dont tell anyone but before I got the mods that fixed the lighting I thought Leliana's hair was to orange and her skin too pale.

After the fix though the whole game looked much better overall.

Yes, her hair is a bit orangey. It's easily overlooked considering I have known a few redheads whose natural hair colour did have an orange tint.

I have the same problem. As good as the Sacred Ashes face is I'm soooo used to vanilla Leli that when I use that morph it's like "woah, who are you?". Then it's back to vanilla.

Also, about the Dalish conversation, you have to give credit to Leliana that she at least realizes on her own just what a bunch of crap she was saying. Even if you're flat out mean in your responses, she'll apologize in the end. That deserves credit in my view.

I haven't played a Dalish since the console patches fixed Leliana so I never saw this conversation... D= Next game!

I can't get into a Dalish character, the Origin is horrible and stupid and The Dalish in general are just annoying and angsty. The perfect Dalish is Valenna and she's a mass murdering xenophobic idiot with no redeeming qualties, so I can never get into a character that's supposed to be that bitter to everything since the game in large doesn't allow you to. In the end a Dalish Warden just comes off as a wahjah version of the City Elf Warden with none of reward or payoff.

It's a little different at the start. She asks if you always lived in an Alienage and how life was in it. Then it goes to the same stuff about elves in Orlais that she says to a Dalish.

I believe that for an elf mage to trigger the conversation you need the dialog tweaks mod. I'm not sure if it triggers on the vanilla game. In any case, it's the same Alienage conversation.

It's basically the City Elf version, in fact dispite what you can say in the Origin about not knowing where you come from or saying that you're from Lothering you will only be allowed to say you're from an Alienage when talking to Leliana. Dialogue Tweaks gives the option for an Elf Mage to say that they remember nothing before The Circle of Magi but in vanilla it's just the city elf version.

You don't really have to play as a human hater when playing as a Dalish. The origin itself gives a few moments where you can express an open minded attitude. For example the very beginning where you can choose to kill the humans or let them go telling Tamlen that he judges them too harshly.

Nonetheless I agree on the comments that the origin story itself is lacking and that it's too disconnected from the main plot.

Plus I don't like face tattoos on my characters so that probably doesn't help, I make a Dalish and the whole time I think "Jeez I really don't like that tattoo I should start over and not put it on this time, or maybe there is one that's good . . ."

Leliana and Alistair in DSC? I dunno it's out of character for both of them and I doubt BioWare put more thought into it than "Hey this would be kind of funny!". There's no substance there to dissect so any attempt to is pointless, DSC had no story.

Yay! finally in Lothering.. My game does OK if I quit and then come back in.. strange.. it kind of makes it slow going... every thing looks fine then bam! crazy color collage.. OH well...

I've got Leliana back in the game.. yahoo! on Leliana and Alistair in DSC... Ali is a softee and Leli is sweet... they could just be really good friends... she was the sister to him that Goldana couldn't be.. imo

I wonder why Leliana is the easiest companion to miss in the game?

All the other companions are just thrown at you and are very easy to pick up.

Strangely one of the LI is tucked away with no signs pointing to her at all, and the fellow outside the tavern warnings scare people off who dont want a fight.



Overall they should have had her easier to find then what she was in the game.

Like have her catch up with you before you leave lothering.
