Even though there will no longer be no new content, there is one thing everyone has: imagination. Instead of BioWare providing the direction and guidance, you are now free to imagine what happens with your Warden and Leli. You can write fanfic or just play out scenarios in your head. Anything is possible, and Thedas is only one continent on the planet after all.

Anyway, I think it's a good way to let the old characters fade away gracefully. I will miss Leli like anything, but I can play DA2 happy, knowing she's out there with my Wardens.

I completely agree with you, even though we wont be getting new content, we can create our own using our imaginations.

And plus I'm happy that Leliana got her own DLC.... unlike Alistair and Zevran

If my Warden dies in the DLC then this will be seen from my house.

Good thing I have an NON-Romanced Dwarf Noble to dabble with this then.

I wont let my Wardens who ran off with Leliana get plot stabbed just so that Hawke can get the camera. If however they get to run off again, then why not,

I just love a hour and a half dungeon crawl with no point!

Was browsing dragonagenexus for some of the new mods out since I hadn't got to play DA:O in a while. Will get my PC back this labor day just in time (hopefully) unless Witch Hunt turns into a DSC or GoA then I will be very upset, but anyways I ran across this mod http://dragonagenexu...ile.php?id=1611 It is a scene based off of aimo's comic with DG's dialogue about the DR concerning Alistair and Morrigan. It made me curious on what would be Leliana's reaction to the DR. I would say she would certainly prefer Alistair or Loghain to do it, but if the Warden had to do it. I think she would come around and give her blessing or her okay for the Warden to do it. Then again how strong are her beliefs in the Maker and the Chantry? Wouldn't her beliefs be strongly against blood magic especially blood magic that would preserve the soul of an old god? It was just an interesting thought that crossed my mind when looking at that mod. I really couldn't peg how I would expect her to react she seems to understand the dangers of the Blight and people may die, but then you get that strong epilogue if the Warden dies. Maybe she is so okay or not afraid of the danger because she believes in her heart you the Warden is near invincible and couldn't die?

I would say that doing the DR with an unhardened Leli as your LI would make her very upset, but that after some time she would forgive you and move on. She is too smart to hang onto that grief forever, and she will be happy that you are still alive. Leli really, really loves your Warden. I don't even think she would be jealous that you slept with Morrigan, as she would see you doing the DR to save your life, not to cheat and get pleasure out of it.

Hardened Leli is perhaps more difficult to read, but I think she would be more accepting of it from the get go. She would understand that sometimes you have to do distasteful things to survive. It would hurt her, but she would be happy to still have you, and she wouldn't be afraid of just enjoying her life with you.

I also believe that Leli would not be alarmed by the OGB, as the Maker has allowed it to happen. If he truly didn't want the soul of an Old God to live, he would have simply killed the Warden as he lay with Morrigan.

My guess would be that unhardened Leliana would definitely disapprove of the DR. If you accept Caladrius' blood ritual during the alienage quest line she strongly disapproves; she also disapproves if you use blood magic to save Connor even though it means saving the child's life. Plus I kinda get the feeling that she generally does not like or trust Morrigan at all. I could even see it being a breaking point for her in the same way the sacred ashes was if she thought that Morrigan and the OGB would go on to hurt others and/or go against the Maker. That being said, if she is in love with the Warden, then maybe she might be able to be persuaded though she definitely would still be disturbed by it.

Well here goes my reading:

Base line Leliana: Does not like Morrigan, Does not like blood magic, or other nasty things that the chantry has villified.

However a Romanced Leliana, loves the Warden and has found the supposed ONE person that we all look for.

UNHARDENED: If the Warden gets someone else to do the ritual, then it may not matter to her so much, she may not like the fact that Morrigan gets the OGB, but she will be happy that the Warden is still alive.

However if the Warden does some swamp wading I cant imagine her being thrilled with that, especially if there was another person who could do it.

She may get over it, but this will mark the relationship if you do it.

HARDENED: While the hardened Leliana is more willing to tread over the line to get the job done, she may not be so different from her other version here.

She will be a little cooler about it, but this will still mark the relationship in a deep way if the warden does it.

Oh dear Maker... :pinched::blink::sick:

Anyway, let us return to the main topic: Leliana.

...Fiddlesticks, I don't know what to talk about... :pinched:

I assume this is only a glitch and doesn't affect my relationship status with leliana, right?

RIGHT?!? :pinched:

It also happened to Velanna (or whatever her name is)...

Oh dear Maker... I'd rather have Morrigan than Velanna... And I hate Morrigan a lot! Dx

Let's hope that Leliana doesn't find out about Anders and Velanna...

Leliana: I KNOW ABOUT ANDERS AND VELANNA!!
PC: Uh-oh. :pinched: I'm screwed. ._.

Velana dosent count.

I kill her every time now.

I get some people have a chip on their shoulder, but seriously she has zero redeeming qualities.

Poor Justice! He just wants a chance to experience love. "There's nothing wrong with wanting something beautiful," right? lol

The Aura/Kristoff/Justice love story is just so tragic though. Reading the "Letter from Leliana" and then the "Letter from Aura" made me so sad when playing Awakening.

It really makes me hope that the Warden doesn't die in Witch Hunt...

If they kill the warden in some DLC just so that Hawke can be teh man, then I will uninstall it right then and there.

If they did that then basically everyone would freak the hell out particularily people who didn't romance Morrigan and might not have a very good reason why their character is evening trying to hunt her down. They could do it just to be shocking and edgy but I have a feeling it would create more enemies than fans of DA2 which is what they are trying to pull off.

If they tie off the wardens story and dont do some OOC crap just to close of Origins narrative then good. I may even dabble into DA2 if so.

If not there are always greener pastures elsewhere.

Especially if Leliana is involved.

My thoughts exactly. I could see them killing off the Wardens who romanced Morrigan but to kill off those who romanced Leliana, Alistair or Zevran and who might not even care about Morrigan so much? That would be a recipe for a ****storm of epic proportions. It would make all the rant threads about Hawke, VO, dialogue wheel, etc. seem like like a joke.

My take is that since this is the last piece of content for Origins and, possibly, the last time we'll ever play as the Warden that Bioware will play it safe. They'll give all the Morrigan fans a (relatively) happy ending and provide answers about her plans for the rest. That way everyone goes away happy and devs can go back to working on Hawke and DA2 without listening to fans complaining about how things went down in DA:O.

There's always a place for a second mage.

That way, the Keep survives while I take Sigrun, Velanna and Justice with me to own them darkspawn fools in Amaranthine.

I only take Nathaniel, Justice, and Anders.

Mainly since I get along with them. Wish I could bring Sigrun along, but her skills overlap nate and justices.
Minus the fact that in Awakening every class is now Jesus Power level you can run with whatever you want.

I'll be honest: that's my party, too!

I hate the fighting style that Oghren uses. He's too much of a pain in the arse... I always end up babysitting him, especially in Kal'Hirol. Blergh...

So I always start with the Blackmarsh quest first. The earlier I have Justice, the better.

And indeed, in Awakening EVERYONE is a powerhouse. It's just boring...

Awakening breaks the traditional 2 warrior set-up and honestly Sigrun's specialization is built in such a way that she's basically a DW Warrior with the abilty to backstab. A Sword and Shield warrior like Justice is redundant at that point of the game since you have plenty crowd control abilities and means for regenerating health. I'd just dump Justice and take Sigrun for higher DPS, tanking is really inefficent compared to damage dealing. Who needs to sit around and absorb blows when you can just fry your enemies and tear them to shreds before they have the chance to hit back.

Make him a Templar, with another Templar in the party mages never have a chance anymore.
Especially with Nate doing AoS, and Anders hitting Mana Clash.

Funny how mana clash makes mages better an mage killing then templars. For an order of warriors dedicated to countering magic they sure don't have much to show.

I've got to agree with you on that... Templars are only good for draining a mage's mana -- provided they EVER get close enough to even lay a finger on a mage. But before that has happened, the templars are already fried by a fire spell.

Why they dont just turn a mage into a mage hunter I dont know.

How many spells are focused on killing mages, or attacking mana, or turning spells off.

Plus they do a better job, although Holy Smite is fun with its Stun and Knockdowns.

Wouldn't it had been nice if we could change our Companions classes... Leli could have been a mage
