Isint it Orlais?

TYPO!

It says Orlais.

The problem is that the "l" comes off as "i" unless you look closely.

Didn't want to bother Mortal with it though. He did a really good job.

Yeah, sorry about this problem, if you want I'll redo it. It's just how the font is, it has parts of it taken out to make it look cool and unfortunately the L looks like and ''i'', but it's not a typo. ;) Anyone feel free to use any of my signatures btw.

No biggy, I hate fonts the muck up my work too.

You should make  a blog on your profile and link it in your sig.
I like the Shale one alot!

Which program do you use?

I adore Leliana too, in fact I am getting the Leliana's Song DLC on Friday.  Don't even have Awakening yet (though I will probably get it Friday too, if I couldn't afford both, I'd get Leliana's Song first).

I have not actually played through and hardened her yet, might do that while I wait for Friday.

Huzzah, got it. I pretty much deleted circle elf origin in the process but oh well. Now I just need to get to Ostagar and see how people react to my character.

King Cailan: I understand you hail from the Cirle of Magi. I trust you have some spells to help us in the coming battle?

Me: *sigh*

I used to avoid hardening her because I thought it turned her evil, it was at least my 6th playthrough before I tried it, now I do it every time. If only because I usually end up traveling with her and, unhardened, I don't think that's what she wants.

Anyway, think I'll make my last Origins character pre-DA2. Leliana romance, of course. Tempted to try and make a city elf mage, rooting around Backgrounds.xls to see if it's possible. Just because, as much as I like mages, I couldn't play the mage origin again, I don't like the situation it puts you in with Jowan/Irving.

Dialogue options are based on class and race, so while you can make a city elf mage any dialogue option that has the IF PC MAGE flag will show up regardless since you are after all a Mage. In the Broken Circle quest everyone will act like you came from that Origin even if you didn't, fixing the problem would require removing all those IF PC MAGE flags from tons of conversations. The Dalish Mage mod is one such example where people did do that however I'm unsure as to how it would work with a City Elf Mage, I imagine it would work okay but you never know . . .

Plus a simple way to make your City Elf mage would have been to make a City Elf then use the developer console to change your class from Warrior to Mage, sorry about the late info on that but I'm just so busy lately.

Feel free to use it is you like.

That indeed is a nice sig...

Hmmm... Now I'll have to choose between two sigs:

This one, or the one that can be found on the second page of this thread...

Darnit, I hate making decisions.

I could, but that wouldn't fit with my current sig... That means I would have to delete something.

I had hoped that those flags would be tied to the Magi origin rather than the class itself, since it can distinguish between a Dalish and City elf of the same class I had hoped I'd get away with it just opening the city origin for a mage. But I'll try the console next, thanks.

But excuse my off-topicness.

Now if she could be a mage but keep the bard tree I'd be sold, stats would be all over the place, and you'd probably have to change the stamina costs to mana, but having a Leliana that isn't a bard just feels wierd.

Nope it would actually be pretty easy, if you know how to edit a savegame with the DA toolset you can add Spells to Warriors and Weapon talents to Mages (I made an Arcane Warrior but gave her the 4 top Dual Wield Weapon Talents so she could use two Longswords) there actually is no difference between Stamina and Mana as far as the game is concerned anything that adds Stamina will just add Mana to a mage and anything that adds Mana will add Stamina for Rogues and Warriors. So all you'd have to do is add the Bard talents to your Mage Leliana, she'd use her Mana to power them and it would all work out just fine.

^^ Well that's something else I'll try in my next playthrough, quite looking forward to it now, makes my city-mage a bit unnecessary though since I usually only use one mage per group.

Well Mages are the most powerful class in the game, in fact having more Mages in a party does more good than harm. Whenever I play as a Mage I always tend to bring Morrigan along as well, if you take Wynne too you can pretty much break the game and slaughter enemies like crazy to the point where you can take anyone else with you and they'll never get a hit in. Hell with the Leliana as a mage file you can run a full Mage party and have access to every spell in the game.

You also could use the command console to give yourself talents and / or spells.

I did that with Leliana in Leliana's Song. Through the console, I gave her some spells. Made life easier. Or, at least, for a while...

It's more of a personal preference than a tactical thing. I usually set all my companions' tactics to [Enemy: nearest visible - attack] and just take manual control of the mage, jumping to the other characters when I want them to use a specific ability, but mages are usually using spells all the time (or, mine are, I don't make arcane warriors) which would mean alot of switching between characters and pausing if I had more than one.

Just get the mod that opens up the Tactic system by allowing you to get 3 or 4 tactic slots per level up, then you can program mage's to look after themselves and micro your Warden mage who's the Primal while the others are set to CC and Healing.

Now that's an idea, I'll make a blog ;).

I'm glad you like the Shale one .

I use GIMP to make these signatures, it's a free open-source program that, if you know how to use it, is like Photoshop. I actually have Photoshop but I'm better at GIMP because of the days in my student years where I was too poor to use Photoshop and completed my graphics projects with GIMP.

After having watched the trailer, I can't help but thinking that Morrigan is the main antagonist / boss of the DLC.

Not to mention that I dreamt about what the role of Morrigan might be in the DLC...

I wouldn't be surprised if the mirror in the trailer got hold of Morrigan in some way...  And is it just me, or did I see a creature that looks like those Striders that the Combine use? (Man, I hate Striders...)

Anyway, I'm more looking forward to the CD with the Soundtracks of Dragon Age: Origins. I hope that it'll be available soon in the BioWare store... Amazon is just too complicated for me.

Edit: Okay, it are Striders. Great. Just great. How am I supposed to take them down without any Magnusson Bombs (or something like that) and pistols or without rocket launchers?? Tell me... :pinched:
I so hope that they don't have their pulse rifles... Or their destructive laser attack.

Ah Striders so hard to kill, but so sastisfying to hear their little wail of death in the end.

I really hope the dlc works out because if they kill the warden or make Morri some deluded villian I will lose all respect, this is literally the make or break for me here.

Pretty sure you get the King consort ending slide in Awakening but you might get the letter at least . . . certain Origin endings take precedent over others King Consort being the biggest one it pretty much steamrolls everything else.

You can almost hear the crickets down on page 2.

"Whats so great about shoes Lels?"

"Well, they're... they're shoes. They're pretty. Some of them anyway."
