I know... but you know... I had to prepare for the real show tomorrow. 
I'm working on the spicy part of the  fic right now. Most of it is just teasing so far:whistle: But it's going to have an explosive ending let me tell you.

Anyway I never even answered my own Marjolaine question:

I think, that for the most part Leliana was manipulated by Marjolaine into falling in love. Although I do think that Marjolaine at one point returned Leliana's feelings, and probably realized that in the business she mastered, that was a total mistake. I think over time Marjolaine was able to distance herself from Leli, in order to protect herself and her work. Ultimately Marjolaine only thinks about herself, but you could see the disappointment and frustration in her when Leliana confronts her in the bed room in Leliana's song, and after word when Leliana lets her go.
I'm a hopeless romantic like Leli  Even though Marjolaine's a total b*tch I like to think she loved Leliana back at some point, I don't like to think people are that cruel hearted...

While I have a hard time not romancing Leliana (unless I've rp'd who the warden will romance) I think my favorite type of warden/Leliana romance is the Dalish warden. I don't know why either...I guess it's because I rp my Dalish Wardens to be quite arrogant and cocky - like telling Leli that I saved her life in the tavern (her scoff is so funny) - of course I'm doing a playthrough with a Dalish elf right now. I guess every warden/Leliana romance is my favorite.

Oh but how I would love to have Leliana in Awakenings with my Dalish warden, just so I could kiss her in front of Val and watch her rage like a ragey thing! It would be so awesome!

edited to say: I don't hate on Val but I just love making her foam at the mouth (just like I do with Morrigan, I love Morri but her comebacks are always too awesome not to hear ).

Most definitely my favorite warden to romance Leliana is Dalish. Mostly because of the cultural boundaries they have to cross.

Yeah, I agree. I also like to think that since the Dalish pass their history down by storytelling and songs that Leliana and the Dalish Warden would really understand each other. I don't mean that the other Origins can't understand Leliana but that Dalish warden would also have a connection to her through songs and stories.

Oh yeah most definitely, especially since Leliana's stories are exciting and new to the Dalish warden.  I'm really glad I played as a Dalish my first play through too because I could actually relate to my Dalish warden. We both knew nothing about Ferelden and Thedas

Hee! Cousland was my first playthrough but my second (and most favorite) was the Dalish one. He was arrogant but goofy, idk he just hit it off with Leliana perfectly. Actually I would love some fic or just a discussion on how the Dalish would react to the warden hooking up with Leliana? I wish that was put into the game for any of the LI's and for any origin.

I imagine it will be a stigma to the Dalish, and probably not accepted very well in their clans/tribes. Cus you being with Leliana kind of goes against all of their values.

Huh. That's what I would like to see. But no, that won't happen. Except for in our imagination. But anyway, awesome picture!

And about the fanfiction "junk" (the word "junk" is being used incorrectly here, but I didn't felt like thinking of a better word...), I think I'm gonna give up on what I had written so far... Apart from a few pieces of text, it just has some things in common with Lenimph's fanfiction story (and chances are just not only with Lenimph's story). Blegh.

And so far, I never have romanced Leliana as a Dalish Elf (despite the fact that they fit with each other (both know stories and stuff)). I actually prefer to play as a Human Noble for some reason... And when I create an elf or a dwarf, I never stay on it long.

Hmm, I've missed a lot in the last few days. Some great fan art on the last page, quite cute stuff.



I've never had the chance to romance Leli with anything other than mages at this point. My other Wardens are for other characters, after which I might make more just for Leli. The only problem is that by then, DA might just be a bit stale for me. Anyway, back to mages. I think it will be interesting to see how they live together long term, considering the stigma around mages. Leli of course supports her love 100%, but I was thinking more of what the people around them might say and do.



For what it's worth, I see Leli and my Wardens wondering around Thedas for about 4-5 years, then coming back to Ferelden to settle down and perhaps try to have a family. The Warden still does his/her duty and recruits new Wardens and so on, but tries to live "normally" What I would be curious to see is how their neighbors live with a Mage next door over the 15-20 years that the Warden has left.

Every fanfic is going to have something in common with another fanfic; thats just how it works. There's like billions of "omg were both girls lets take an innocent bath together" Leliana/Fem warden fics. But I had that idea long before I started reading other peoples stuff. Did I give up after seeing that someone else did it? No because even though they were doing the same idea in my fanfic was still completely different.
It's its something you really wanna try, go for it.

No, more between a male (a male Human Noble, that is) and Leliana... But there are soo many fanfics of Leliana and the Warden out there already, it's hard to think of something new...

And before I'm going to show off the fanfic, I'm gonna have to finish the story first... And I'm having a tough time.

I also am not English, so I will have a tough time when it comes to describing facial expressions of Leliana, my Warden, etc etc etc.

Still, you are right. I'm going to try to make something out of it. I have some awkward, some strange and some weird scenes in my mind, so it should work out fine.

I really like Male Cousland/ Leliana. After pretty much losing everything you love in 1 night and then the loss at Ostagar. Plus Morrigan destroying his manhood, meeting Lel is what he needed. lol

I like my Cousland he was a political scandal when he married Anora.  Having an Orlesian warm his bed and engaging in polygamous relationships.

idk, they wouldn't like it for sure.  Prolly end up exiled.  I like playing city elves over dalish for some reason.  I like the dalish culture, but I find them extremely whiney, when they are the reason for there own demise.  Maybe I should make a dalish elf who hates their culture.

Well the Dalish warden can be cast out technically in the origin story. So either they are already exhiled or by the time they get to Zathrien's clan they would be exhiled. Still you're right no one would be happy with the warden.

I really like all the origins (okay except for the mage one, Jowan's voice actor drives me insane) but I didn't connect with Tamelen at all. I love the lore of the Dalish and the way they live their lifestyle, also halla's are cool.

Like I said I don't think one origin fits the Leliana romance more - it's just that I'm doing a Dalish archer warrior playthrough right now and I've got Dalish/Bard love on the brain.

It depends on your RP I think for example..

My Dalish are pretty old school and enriched in their traditons, so they obviously want an elf to bond with, but BioWare denied them that, so I have to use my imagination and imagine my Dalish returns to Lanaya and start a romance up with her.

The only origin I couldn't find a good RP to justify a romance with Leliana would be a Dwarf Noble, but that is just me though .

For me the best f-f romance for Leiana is a city elf, and for a m-f romance it would be a mage.

Sadly once Leliana kissed him when he gave her the flower he cant get her out of his head.
