I think the reason she has that response has more to do with her not wanting to accept any less than the ideal of one true love for herself. If you tell her that you want to have both her and Alistair simultaneously, you're kinda making it clear that you don't feel the same way. And in that case, you're not really the better match for her.

Yeah, I'm not taking into account that to get that comment you have to be in a simultaneous relationship with Alistair. I can understand why Leli would feel that someone who does that isn't the right person for her.



Still, it's different when you're in a threeway with Zevran. In that case she doesn't automatically breakup, she'll ask you to please stop playing with her and decide once and for all if it's her or Zev.



And I gotta say, that convo also made me cry. The sadness in her voice when she says "if I don't mean to you as much as you mean to me, please, tell me now"... oh, damn....

Even though wicked makes a good point, THE REAL REASON Leliana tells you to be with Alistair is because those sick Bioware bastards truly believe that Alistair was meant for the female warden. Deep down inside they all want us to romance Alistair to see our non- Cousland hearts broken (because Anora is a b*tch) or have to make the love of their lives sleep with Morrigan if they both want to live...

It's funny cause its true.

I suppose it makes sense (though I find it highly annoying) since if you're not in a romantic relationship with Alistair, it makes a lot of the big decisions you have to make at the end of the game less complicated/emotionally involved. Personally, though I thank the Maker for the relatively drama-free, happy-ending Leli!

Compared to Alistair its a cake walk to avoid a Morrigan romance.

However Leliana is the easiest companion to miss in the game.



That being said I am a completionist I have to look everywhere and thank the maker I peeked into Dane's Refuge.

Same here. I always made sure I stepped into every single area before I moved on. I also admit that as I was playing I took brief glances into the wiki to know if there was something I should be aware of. I had to keep those glances very brief though, since I was desperately avoiding spoilers.



There's no denying that both the Alistair and Morrigan romances were given a stronger "push" due to the fact that they are both deeply tied to the main storyline. Thank the Maker it was only a "push" and not "shove it down our throats".
