That shoe is awesome as well; and yeah the Zevran romance is really good I think it is heavily underrated. When I play a female I always like him a lot more than Alistair.

Zevran cracks me up though, seriously once you get past the trying to kill you thing he is the kinda person I would hang out with. Sten is the guy I would try and talk about politics, society, and ethics with.

It's not the romance, I just... well... Blergh. He reminds me too much of someone who bullied me in the past. But enough about that.
And Alistair? Just DON'T get me started on him...
@Zjarcal:
The banner looks great!
@Lenimph:
That shoe is perfect!
The butterflies print is awesome... Though it misses nugs and pudding.
...And whips, for those who just can't get enough of them.

Welcome to the first ever weekly Leliana prompt!
This is a creative contest for all fans of Leliana to try and create something and enter a contest to win a prize! The rules are simple:
You are given a prompt that serves as a base for your creation. It can be a word, or a sentence, an object, or even a tune. As long as it is relative to the character of Leliana.
It can take any form as long as it can be put into a digital medium for easy judging.
-Fanfic, doodle, song, video, etc..
You have ONE HOUR, and ONE HOUR only to work on it.
The entries will be collected and judged at the end of the week, and the winner will be notified.
The prompter of the week serves as the judge, and cant enter the contest.
Without further ado here is this weeks prompt:
First
As this is the first ever prompt, here are some ideas:
First kiss, kill, time the warden and Leliana saw each other/did something or anything close to that as long as it involves the idea of FIRST.
Contest Deadline is: Friday, October 1st at 10:00 PM North American Central Time.
The prize will be decided later.

Do you have to post your creation in this thread?
And I think that my bad English won't do me any good in a fanfic...
...
Oh, what the heck. Who cares.

After having seen SPARTAN's fanfic of the Warden and Leliana, I'm completely discouraged. All my inspiration was vaporized instantly, in just reading a few sentences.
Though a few people know I was working on a fanfic, I decided today to stop with it. Stopped the presses. Stopped Microsoft Word. Unplugged the typing machine. Packed my stuff. Went through the door with "Discontinued" on it.
No one needs a story of which both the core and the backbone are basically the same.
Sigh...
The only one who can convince me to carry on is SPARTAN himself. But... that's not going to happen.
So I hope there'll be some great entries from true artists. And I hope you'll post the entries here as well Giggles. I can't wait to see those community creations (if there's anyone out there who reads this thread, apart from the commoners.)

Aw, don't get discouraged Whacka! The point of the contest is to have fun, be creative, and share in the Leli love.No one is expecting perfection (at least I certainly hope not

Most certainly....And I find it nauseating...
Just remember that fanfiction is your creative output, and most of the people who read it are so desperate for more Leliana experiences that they could really careless about how good it is compared to someone else's.

It just is the fact that mine is so... so raw... It has these awful edges, these... these horrible HORRIBLE things... And it has too much in common with SPARTAN's fanfic.Lenimph wrote...
@Whacka... Don't be discouraged! Does it ****** me off that I work my ass off and there's fics that have over 200 reviews and my main fic only has 39?
Most certainly....And I find it nauseating...

If you'd compare the two of them, you'd say mine is a horrible rewritten version of SPARTAN's. And I don't want to end up being called a copier. Besides, my English is horrible.
SPARTAN knows how to describe how people react in certain situations, the surroundings, the whole actual thing. I only describe how people look, how their respones sound like. Not what they do something with their hands. In the newest chapter of SPARTAN's story, he describes the arms of Leliana in a perfect way, while I only say "Leliana embraces / hugs Alarc" (main protagonist), for example. Sure, I have my dramatic scenes and I desperately try to create some humor (like this line, that Alarc says when he's hit by an arrow for the third time: "...besides, I'm the one here that's going to end up like Swiss cheese one of these days!"), but that just won't do it. My English... no, it's not good enough.
And when I look at what SPARTAN comes up with, I'm wondering myself... Why didn't I think of that? Why? Why can't I write like that?
No, it's not worth it. My inspiration is drained.
And then we have the pictures... Oh dear Maker, don't get me started on that. They improve the experience. But I... I suck at drawing.
The only thing that SPARTAN doesn't have in common with mine is the awkward scene in the spring.
And the fact that Alarc does the DR (approved by Leliana, that is).
And pregnancy. (Go figure.)
And Alistair and Loghain actually BECOMING FRIENDS with each other. (WHOA!)
And I can't spill much of the other beans... Not that it matters anyway.
Long story short:
I want to create something, something that people can enjoy. Something that people will read over and over again, just because it is awesome. I don't want to create something that someone else already created, except changed. I want something unique, like SPARTAN's story.
But this just isn't the way. And that's why I'm giving up on my fanfic. It just has too much in common with SPARTAN's story, it's horrible and terribly raw and has the same backbone and core.

There is always going to be similarities... you shouldn't let it bother you so much...
*sigh* You know what nvmd I give up do what you want
All I have to say is this... I have written things that men read and come back to "enjoy" over and over again.... do any of them leave a review? No
Do I know I write fun and entertaining things. Yes... and it makes me happy. You can write amazing things and when it comes down to it most people are just too lazy to even say "Hey I loved that chapter."
If you want to make other people happy ... then go for it... but not doing anything isn't going to help.
And I'm not going to try at the prompt by the way... there's no way I'm going to get anything done in under an hour. I get distracted...

I think that time limits and prizes aren't really necessary, at least for now. My suggestion would be that the winner gets to pick the next prompt as his/her prize. It would keep things fluid since we haven't even managed to compile a list of participants yet xP. It would also limit any super talented person from totally dominating the competition every single week since you can't enter the week you prompt, though I'm not sure that's even really a big concern imo.

Sucks that I cant enter because I have a good idea of what to do. It involves tree stumps and a dwarf.
Plus a profuse amount of sweat.
