@wicked: Thanks. Glad you thought I did well in keeping people in character. That was my biggest fear since I have never written a fanfic before.

@Giggles: I might have my GF look over it since English is not my native language. I could probably word things a bit better, so I may PM you a diff version later, but if I don't do I need PM the one I just posted to be an official entry?

@Zeleen:

Hi and thanks for having created this thread!

I'm relatively new to the thread, but not the forums. I'm glad to see you liked my rendition of French Maid Leli!

Now, I need to take some screenshots and fire up Gimp. Gotta get this prompt thing done!

This is a creative contest for all fans of Leliana to try and create something and enter a contest to win a prize!

The rules are simple:

You are given a prompt that serves as a base for your creation. It can be a word, or a sentence, an object, or even a tune. As long as it is relative to the character of Leliana.

It can take any form as long as it can be put into a digital medium for easy judging.

-Fanfic, doodle, song, video, etc..

The entries will be collected and judged at the end of the week, and the winner will be notified.

The prompter of the week serves as the judge, and cant enter the contest.

PLEASE PM THE PROMPTER YOUR ENTRY!

Here is the prompt in short Zeleen.

That's actually just a hair change. The face is still vanilla. I really do love that hairstyle on her, I can't go back to the original anymore.

The prompt this week was given by Giggles. The winner of the week will give the next prompt and so on.

Well thank you for the banner compliment!

Yes, the prompt for this week is "The First". As Giggles explained, it can be the first anything, so long as it involves Leliana. Also, we decided to remove the whole one hour time limit for creating your entry. So take as long as you want.

Yes the prompt it first, as long as it involves Leliana it is good.
Here is my example prompt I used.

First.

By: Giggles_Mannically.

The sun had set, over a small encampment that was nestled into a group of trees. The camp housed less than a dozen people, but only two of them were on watch. On a closer examination one of them was a dwarf with black hair, wearing a set of light armour with a large Two Handed Sword across his lap. The other was a red haired human woman who was presently talking about something, that the Dwarf seemed amused at.

“I like these nights at camp, its quiet and the stars are out, it’s just so peaceful” the woman said in a soft Orlesian accent.

“I know what you mean, at least we don’t have to listen to a bunch of people arguing all the time”, the dwarf responded in a very deep voice that almost seem to come out of the ground itself.

At this the woman let out a small giggle “what you don’t like listening to the others debates, Dain?” she asked.

“Not when they sound like a bunch of deshyrs who woke up on the wrong side of the bed, Leliana” Dain replied.

Leliana and Dain were both presently sitting on a log and looking off into the dark, since they were on watch. To a careful observer they would notice that they were sitting rather closely, and that occasionally one of their hands would reach out to brush the others fingers and then quickly move away.

“The night always seems safer to me for some reason, silly isint it the darkspawn never sleep and they lurk in the shadows” Leliana suddenly said.

“Well you have to be silly sometimes, too much seriousness and it gets to be like Orzamar.” Dain replied.

“I enjoy these nights when we both are on watch, and we talk until our watch is over.” Letting out another small giggle she said “well I talk mostly, you just seem to listen.”

“About shoes for the most part, if memory serves” Dain replied, with a small smile, though it is hard to tell since a beard covered most of his face.

With a small smile Leliana continued “sometimes if I fall asleep, I wake up and see you watching over all of us, over me.” As she continued her voice seemed to lose some confidence and she started to stumble over some of her words. Picking up on this Dain shifted around to face her more directly.

“You never have to be afraid, around me Leliana” Dain said.

“Umm, what I’m trying to say is that, is that I feel comfortable around you, I trust you and know that if I ever needed you, you’d be there.” If Leliana’s voice was nervous before it was incredibly nervous know.

“You are our leader, our protector, and my friend, and... and sometimes I think that maybe, we could be ah more than that.” Smiling again, and letting out a little laugh she continued.

“Oh Maker look at me stumbling over my words like some un-educated peasant girl, ha some bard I am” Before she could fully look away, Dain saw how red her face was, and placing his sword on the stump a bit behind him Dain turn back and asked “are you embarrassed?”

“I’m not embarrassed!” she said in shock, “I’m just flushed... from the heat” she replied in a panicky tone.

“The fire went out hours ago you know?” Dain said in an amused tone. However before she could reply Dain said “I’ve always thought that we more than friends, at Ieast I thought it was pretty obvious.”

“You do? Then why did you make me say them first? Oh how very awkward!” she said in a rush. Looking at her fully now Dain could see how red her cheeks were, and how she was trying to avoid eye contact.

“Oh chivalry is so dead making the lady spill her guts like that” Leliana said, finally gaining back the courage to look at Dain again. For a brief moment which later on Dain could not exactly recall for how long they simply starred at each other. Without really thinking about his hand reached out and found hers.

Trying to think of something to say Dain said “so I guess that settles that then, we both like each other, but more than friends do.” In his head he scolded himself for being such an idiot, and ruining the moment.

“Um, I’m not so sure just yet” Leliana said, with a devious little smile playing at her lips.

Gently she took both of her hands and put them on Dain’s shoulders, and started to lean in. Before Dain could react, the ability for his brain to work properly shut down.

Leliana shifted  herself on the log and was within inches of Dain’s lips. Dimly in the back part of his mind Dain was aware that Leliana had the slight fragrance of the flower he had picked up for her back in Redcliffe.

Softly, her lips touched his, as his arms in turn pulled her body against his. The kiss deepened and became more intense, and his senses began to spin as he took in the slight smell around Leliana, the taste of her lips, and how she felt against him. The combination off all of those things promptly caused Dain to lose his balance and fall off the log.

However as stated before his mind wasn’t running correctly causing him to pull Leliana down with him. The shock of hitting the ground knocked the air out of Dain, and his senses back into him at the same time. Which then made him fully aware of the equally surprised red head that was now lying on top of him. For a while they simply stayed like that with Leliana smiling down at him and Dain looking back up at her.

“Well I guess that settles it.” Leliana said in a very sweet tone.

“I’m not so sure yet.” Dain replied with a smile.
THE END.

Okay, here's my entry. I was going to do a drawing of the first kiss scene, but Giggles beat me to using that first so I've decided to go with writing instead. This is a first for me too since I've never written fan fic before :).
Aislyn = my HNF warden, just to be clear.

Leliana got down on her hands and knees so that her dazzling blue eyes were level with the dog’s. If she was going to defeat her opponent, she’d have to take out her secret weapon. She lowered her voice, donned her thickest Orlesian accent, and cooed softly, “Come now, fine ser. If you come over here, I’ll give you the finest backrub you’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing.”

The mabari stopped bouncing from side to side. His head tilted and ears perked as he contemplated the offer. Leliana slowly moved closer, but, before she could get within arm’s reach, the dog backed away.

“No? What about a nice ear massage, then? Hmmm. I could even tickle your tummy,” Leliana offered.

The hound’s brow wrinkled as if he were occupied in deep concentration. After a brief moment, he shook his bulky head and let out a muffled bark before dashing even further away, eager to re-engage Leliana in the cat and mouse game he’d already been forcing her to play for several minutes.

“Well, I never!” Leliana exclaimed, stunned. This was a first. No one had ever turned down one of her offers before, not after she’d broken out her best voice.

“Will you look at this!,” Aislyn laughed. She walked towards her two favorite companions and remarked, “We’ve finally found someone immune to your charms!”

Leliana pouted, “Am I losing my touch?”

“No, I assure you that is certainly not the case,” Aislyn replied as she leaned in to kiss Leliana lightly on the cheek to soothe her. “Don’t take it personally, darling. You know he’s been specially trained to listen only to me,” she said softly.

“Hmph,” Leliana muttered.

“Besides, in the Cousland family pulling stunts like this means he really likes you. You should have seen the tricks he used to pull on Fergus...” Aisyln added.

Leliana crossed her arms not entirely convinced, “Well, can you at least tell him to give them back?”

“Ser Barley,” Aislyn said sternly, “You heard the lady.”

The hound shot his master an imploring look that seemed to say, “How could you do this? You’re spoiling my fun!”

“Now!”

Ser Barley reluctantly sauntered over to Leliana and opened his jaws to drop her dainty powder blue shoes at her feet.

“He’s ruined them,” Leliana cried, “Look, his slobber has stained the satin!”

Dog whimpered an apology while Aislyn ensured Leliana that she would replace them.

Later that same evening, Aislyn approached the sulking redheaded bard by the campfire, her hands hidden behind her back and said, “I’ve been saving these shoes for a special occasion.”

Leliana cheered up and squeed, “New shoes!? For me!?” Her enthusiasm was quickly extinguished, however, as Aislyn fully revealed the gift. They were, by far, the ugliest boots Leliana had ever seen.

“Maker! They’re hideous!,” Leliana exclaimed in horror.

Aislyn let out a hearty laugh, pleased with herself.

“If this is a joke,” Leliana responded grimly, “it’s one I find none too funny.”

“Come now. Don’t be like that. It is funny!,” Aislyn teased.

“Shoes are no laughing matter to me,” Leliana replied defensively, “And you, my dear warden, are in the dog house.”

“You know, in Ferelden that’s not such a bad thing,” Aislyn joked. She knew better, but the words escaped her lips before she could stop herself.

“Not funny,” Leliana snapped, fully angry now.

“You’re right. I..I’m very sorry. I’ll just be over here…in the dog house…thinking about what I’ve done and how to make it up to you.” And with that, Aislyn disappeared into her tent.

Leliana went back to brooding and kicked at the soot around the campfire with her leather-clad feet in a huff.  As she glared down at her boots, she heard the pad of Ser Barley’s feet draw near. She looked up and quickly placed a hand over her mouth to keep herself from bursting out in laughter. The poor hound was wearing a ridiculously large, white cone in place of his usual collar and had the most pitiful look of indignation on his remarkably expressional face.

“Looks like Aislyn got to you too,” commented Leliana.

<<Pathetic whimper.>>

“Oh fine,” Leliana replied as she deftly unfastened the buckle that held the humiliating collar into place, “I’m still mad at you though.”

Ser Barley gazed up at Leliana with his big brown eyes and gently rested his snout on her knee.

Leliana sighed, “Well, it seems I’m not immune to your charms, though you’re immune to mine. Hmm, if you’d like to make it up to me, you can start by destroying these.” She pointed towards the ugly boots.

<<Happy bark!>>

The mabari earnestly went to town on the ugly boots.

Leliana giggled, “Thank you. That does makes me feel a little better.”

<<Triumphant bark!>>

Ser Barley wagged his tail and then darted away only to return momentarily with something in his mouth.

“What have you got there?” Leliana inquired.

Ser Barley wagged his tail even harder.

“Aislyn’s diary?!” Leliana gasped, “No! We shouldn’t…”

<<Stifled conspiratorial bark!>>

“Hee hee. I like the way you think, Ser,” Leliana relented with a giggle as she took the diary from his mouth.

The bard opened up the book and read select passages aloud to the mabari who tucked himself up against her side, tail nub still wiggling, listening intently.

Thus began the first of many, many times over the years when Leliana and Ser Barley would team up together to devise their plans with which to prank back their beloved Warden.

@Jack's Smirking Revenge:

Like wicked, I feared for schmooples safety at first! Thank the Maker you didn't conspire to have him eaten. That was really sweet and I agree that you stayed true to the characters. Great job Jack's!

@wicked

Awwww! That was so sweet! And you included my two favorite companions... conspiring against the Warden! Talk about a couple of pranks gone wrong for her, hehe. Great job as well wicked!
