I think Leliana when hardened becomes more spiritual than regilious... meaning that she has a personal relationship with her "Maker" and "lives" the life rather than preach the life..

I would say that describes her from the get-go.

Indeed!

Yeah that's her from the get-go. Before she left the chantry she began to believe that the Maker reveals himself in world everyday,(Alistair's rose) which is a very rebellious idea that questions the divinity of Andraste and left the chantry to follow her own spiritual path.

It would've been nice if you were romancing both Alistair and Leli, to get Alistair's rose, dump him and then give it as a gift to Leli...

If anything, I find Leliana's religion a bit too modern and generically nice.

Lol that was in my fanfic... :P Leliana didn't want the rose she was quite content with Andraste's Grace.

I don't care much for what Leliana believes. She believes what she wants to believe. Who am I to say that she shouldn't believe in the Maker?
She doesn't seem like a zealot to me.

And this is where I agree with previous statements of Ashley Williams in ME. I've heard her saying that she believes in God a couple of times, and I really don't mind.

As Flemeth once said: "Believe what you will."

I don't see Leliana abandoning her faith in the Maker. Though based on their differences in reaction to the desecration of the Urn, I suppose an argument could be made that a hardened Leliana would be more willing to make compromises in her faith than an unhardened Leliana.

To put it lightly. I'll never stop finding my first playthrough, where I desecrated Andraste's ashes in front of Leliana and then slept with her for the first time as soon as I got back to camp, hilarious.

Eh, I think that niceness is something that can happen in any era.

If anyone in ME can be called a zealot, it's Samara. But she's a milf with big boobs, so obviously no one is going to blast her.

I think that she is a zealot about her code, rather than her religion.

That being said I did enjoy talking to Thane about his religion.

LOL!

By the way, am I the only who believes that Leliana should've attempted to break up with the Warden who defiles the urn (provided she isn't killed during the defiling or was left in camp and isn't lied to)?

Considering she was ready to attempt to kill the Warden for doing that, it seems more than a bit odd for the relationship to carry on as usual after that.

If we're making comparisons between Leliana and Samara...I'm obviously biased, but I think Leliana is highly attractive too. I think it more has to do with how the game presents them. Samara is revered by other NPCs and you're given the impression that she is worthy of respect for her admirable adherence to a strict code. Whereas Leliana is treated with disdain by other characters and written off as crazy when you first meet her. I guess some people don't bother to look past that, even though if you have those few early conversations with her and just listen to what she has to say it becomes really obvious that she's not a zealot and even her vision isn't that out there.

Yeah, I've gotta agree. The scenario Xilizhra describes is kind of hilarious in a bad way. I really don't think that should happen. It makes Leliana seem like she has low integrity as a character when we know that's not the case.

That's one of the things I like about unhardened Leliana. She will stand for what she believes no matter what.

In my view the way that scenario should've been handled is that Leliana would only step down from attacking if she was in love with the Warden (hardened or not), and only because she wasn't capable of bringing herself to kill her lover. She should later break up with them and attempt to leave the party (which she could be persuaded not to perhaps).

True there could have been more done in regards to Leliana and Wynne about the Urn.

Though I dont do it, since honestly Kolgrim is a few bananas short of a bunch as it is so I dont help him.

Honestly I could not stop laughing at Kogrim when he made his offer I went from:

To this in a mocking way:

Then I killed him and ended the day with this:

Honestly it will be a chilly day in Hell before I ever consider aiding a deranged cult of killers for any reason. Also Berserker and Templar trump Reaver for me so there is zero point to using it really.

Ah Kolgrim, the man who thinks screaming at the top of his lungs while standing mere inches away from the group is common courtesy and will get them to help him.

Even Howe had the courtesy to talk with his indoor voice.

Yea they should have made the Chantry father the head of the disciples. He's creepy, but sounds reasonable and sounds like someone you can talk to. Kolgrim should have been his right hand brute.

Maybe, I would still not help them.
Maybe hand them a bunch of strait jackets, but no I would not aid them in any way.

Oh wow, I gave myself a bad mental image right now with Kolgrim, Oghren and the 300 Love scene.
