Well, I'll be damned. Smitty should have had a stiletto in his forhead instead of a dagger.

But a stiletto is a dagger... 

That dagger had a  wider blade than a stiletto.
That said, seeing a mook killed by stiletto heel would be much more awesome now when I look back at it.

Well she'll participate in your "affairs" with Isabella... other then that I don't know of any differences. I've never really hardened beyond the purpose of hearing that dialog...

Kudos to everyone who participated in this week’s prompt. All the entries captured “deadly” really well. I have to say this was a lot harder than I’d imagined it would be.

The only thing I don't like about Lenimph winning is that she doesn't make an entry for the week and that sucks big time. Someone else should be the judge so she can enter!

She will return to her bardic ways, which means that she won't disapprove too much of some your morally questionable choices (some, not all). At the Urn of Sacred Ashes, you have the option to intimidate her so that she doesn't attack you if you choose to defile them.

She'll be willing to participate in the threesome with Isabella (or foursome with Zevran). She will also express a desire to return to Orlais to eliminate any possible threats to her safety.

And of course, she'll be willing to stay as your mistress.

Overall, while she doesn't go back to being exactly like she was before Marjolaine betrayed her (she still believes in the Maker for instance), she does regain a certain edge.

I strongly prefer to keep her unhardened though. She seems like a much more strong willed person when unhardened (not being able to intimidate her at the Ashes, not wanting to participate in the threesome).

I wish there was a middle ground between the two though.

In never hardened her myself. All hardening options felt too much like I was pushing her over the edge. Leliana wants someone to confide in, someone she can rely on, and those options felt too manipulative. Made me feel as if I was the new Marjolaine taking advantage of poor Leli.

I also do agree that she has a stronger will when unhardened. She does indeed stand up to her beliefs more.

This whole subject made me remember of all those terrible things I did in the name of trophies. Namely defiling the Ashes (while playing as Ophelia with romanced Leli in the party no less). When I killed her, I paused the game, walked up to a mirror, and screamed at myself: "YOU MONSTER!!!"

And then DrunkDeadman was a monster.

I remembered about that trophy right when I was standing in front of the Ashes (took Kolgrim's blood so I didn't have to fight those 2 dreaded mages he had with him inside the temple), so I saved the game, and did the deed.
I kid you not, it was the most despising thing I had ever did in a video game. I had a bad taste in my mout for hours. Even though I did it purely for the trophy and reloaded right after.

The worst thing was not defiling the Ashes themselves, but Leliana's reaction. It felt like Ophelia stabbed Leli in the heart with a knife and then twisted it some more. Ophelia loves that woman beyound anything and would never do anything like that. Never, ever ever ever ever! 

But there I was, a trophy **** of a gamer (in my favorite games only though) who decided that he wanted every DA trophy. I didn't think it would make me feel like it did at all. I thought it'll be like: defile, drink blood, trophy, reload, everything goes back to normal.
Instead, I felt like a complete utter monster for the rest of the week if not more. I would never do such a thing again. I love my Ophelia and Leliana way too much. If I'll ever loose all my trophies, this shall be the one you won't see returning.

I wouldn't even be able to do that with my more questionable characters. Hell, I was sad when my dwarf noble, Gendryk told Leliana off at Lothering because he thought she'll be a liability. Now when I look at him, he's not Gendryk. He's "the dwarf that told Leliana to ****** off at Lothering." Stupid role-playing.

*sigh* I'm going to desecrate the ashes on my Amell so I left her at camp but it feels so weird not bringing Leliana... she's usually so excited about it...
This is the hardest playthrough ever...

The face piece on the right certainly is...

The one with her lounging is her actually passed out in a group concept art shot thats in the guidebook. I couldn't find that one online so I actually had to scan it from my guidebook.

And hey, how did you manage to avoid pixelation in your gif? Every time I create a gif in Gimp it gets heavily pixelated or messed up (like the ones I'm using).

It's a smaller image... I think thats why anyway...

When I first played the game, I didn't knew much of it... I also romanced Morrigan instead of Leliana (I always thought Leliana was another moon-addled simpleton. Later, however, I discovered the truth). And so, I defiled the Ashes (for the Talent, of course)... with both Wynne and Leliana in my party.

The BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE. Never. Again. I really didn't knew that both Wynne and Leliana would turn on me. My first reaction was a Dr. Hax reaction: I pointed at the screen and screamed "HAAAAAAAX!" Then I smashed a hole in the wall with my head whilst screaming "DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT!"

The fight was AWFUL.

Not only was Wynne spamming her spells, Alistair and I were also being turned into Swiss cheese by Leli's arrows. Then there was the Guardian, slicing me with his sword as if I was butter, and the Shades.
Still, I prevailed (well, the health potions prevailed... er-hem), got the Talent, and loaded a save before the Ashes.

Heresy, I know. But I turned at the end of it all... Having abandoned that character (it was tainted, stained with Leliana's blood), I created a new one and went down the somewhat better path. And I vowed to never use the Talent I unlocked, considering the gruelsome thing I had to do to unlock it. (the Talent is crap anyway)

I'm glad that it at least turned out this way.

She looks more dead than "arching back in a moment of ecstasy"...

But it better not be Alistair holding her. If he is, then I'll put him in my Giant Toaster of Epik Proportions and shoot him to the Anderfels.
Or I'll just let Leliana have her way with Alistair... She'll get rid of him.

Suffice to say, I'll never desecrate the Ashes, especially since you can unlock Reaver in Awakening anyway with a manual. No matter which character I play, whether in love with Leli or just a friend, I won't do that.



I've just started a fem Cousland to play through as a Warrior, which is a first for me class wise. She'll also be romancing Alistair, despite being openly bisexual. I don't suppose there is a way to keep Leli as a mistress as a female player after marrying Alistair? My Cous wants both of them and isn't likely to be happy until she has them both lol. I see her as a bit childish and petulant that way.

On the subject of despoiling the ashes, I did it once, with my all evil mage. No one was as bad as he, he was a completely horrible monster, who cared for nothing. He slept with Leliana, Morrigan, and Zevran than either killed them, or stabbed Morrigan in Witch hunt. He unlocked all the evil achievements, and then I went to cry for a while. I never felt so terrible for playing a game.

Watching the elves die, killing Shale at the anvil, killing Wynne and Leliana at the urn, letting Alistair be executed, telling Loghain to go kill the arch demon without a care, taking over as a chancellor who will control Anora with blood magic, letting Irving die because Everd hated him, and being the ponce master general to all of Ferelden stays with you. Also Everd let Amaranthine burn without a care, and sided with the Architect just because. I really hated playing him.

I have made it up since by playing the lyrium addled Dwarf Commoner Bob, who is happily nutty, and loves everything and everyone.  Fun to play, but as crazy as a you can imagine.

On the topic of the prompts congrats Lenimph!

On the topic of which song fits Leliana I think that  this fits her and/or the romance:
