To quote Gaider:

what do female wardens become if they are ghouls?

Let's just say the lack of female Warden fertility is probably a good thing in this particular case.

I hadn't thought about the suicide thing for the warden. It's certainly a better option than going to the calling (and you have the chance to die in Leli's arms...). Still, I'm still set on having Avernus spare me the trouble.

As for the broodmother issue, David Gaider once said that one of the good things about female wardens having such a low fertility rate is that the chances of them becoming broodmothers are extremely low. Granted the chance still exists and you're right Captain Uccisore, becoming a broodmother is a big DO NOT WANT!

EDIT: Ninja'd by wicked.

Gaider's quote is hardly comforting. The odds may be low, but it's still a possibility...

Gah! I don't even want to think about it. I played through the game 4 times and I'm still traumatized by the Deep Roads (Don't even get me started on that horrid thing in the Dragonbone Wastes).

On an unrelated note, I found this song to fit eerily well the romance epilogues of a Warden who did the US. Particularly an unhardened Leliana. :crying:

Yeah, I can't seem to post anything that isn't thoroughly tear jerking. Someone post something happy. I need happy.

You girls made me more depressed than I already was today. Oh and thanks for reminding me about the broodmothers. My Cousland has a phobia of Deep Roads because of those things.

@Lenimph: I faved you on the site and will go trough your stories as soon as I'm finished with work. From what I read so far, It's right up my alley.

Now I'm listening to sad, sad songs... Damn it. Posted Image
I have no idea what's Eluveitie's Ne Regv Na is about (damn you extinct languages!), but "death of a loved one" is the feeling I always get when listening to it.

Simply saying "so what would you like to do?"

Usually works for me, except last time I asked that I ended up going to a flea market for six hours.

Had some Won Ton soup but my feet really hurt at the end.

You know I could have sworn I remember hearing something about how female Wardens usually went to their calling with another male Warden to ensure they didn't end up getting captured by Darkspawn.

Stop being such a downer, Brudd. We finaly found a happier topic and then you go and mention that.

Well, that's exactly why I mentioned taking Dworkin's explosives to the Deep Roads. When you feel you're about to kick the bucket or get captured: *BOOM!!*

Date: ok :o

Jeese I'm low maintenance

I don't think that's something Leliana would want to do though so... probably shopping... we just can't buy anything because I'm poor...

I had Leli with max stealing on my DC run.

Every time someone called him a brand, Leli would pickpocket them.

Still its worth it to hear the proving master go" YOU!"

Bloody dust lovers called Bob names and hurt his feelings.

Then leliana robbed them and bought some pretty shoes.

Besides I only stole from nobles anyway.

Bob!
The dwarf they call Bob!

Oh, He robbed from the rich
and he gave to the poor.
Stood up to the nobles
and he gave them what for.
Our love for him now
ain't hard to explain.
The hero of Dust Town
the dwarf they call Bob.

Our Bob saw the casteless' backs breakin'.
He saw the casteless' lament.
And he saw the nobles takin'
every silver and leavin' five bits.
So he said: "You can't do that to my people."
said "You can't crush them under your heel."
So Bob strapped on his hat
and in 5 seconds flat
stole everythin' nobles had to steal.

Oh, He robbed from the rich
and he gave to the poor.
Stood up to the nobles
and he gave them what for.
Our love for him now
ain't hard to explain.
The hero of Dust Town
the dwarf they call Bob.

Now here is what separates heroes
from common dusters like you and I.
The dwarf they call Bob
he turned 'round his bronto
and let that money hit sky.

He dropped it onto our houses
he dropped it into our yards.
The dwarf they called Bob
he stole away our pain
and headed out for the Roads!

(Here we go!)

He robbed from the rich
and he gave to the poor.
Stood up to the nobles
and he gave them what for.
Our love for him now
ain't hard to explain.
The hero of Dust Town
the dwarf they call Bob...

I got carried away... Posted Image

I'll get back to it tomorrow. Finaly finished those hellish college papers tonight, so I'll have some time to work "that other thing" tomorrow. It's looking pretty good so far.

From what I've read, heard and seen, a Warden has plus minus 30 years to live after the Joining. Presuming your fem Warden was in her early 20's when she joined, it would put her in her 50's by the time the Calling came. Hypothetically, even if captured, I doubt she would be able to be made into a Broodmother anyway. Besides the low fertility due to the Joining, her natural age would pretty much make it near to impossible to be made into a Broodmother and still produce darkspawn, if what I know about human biology is still relevant.

Anyway, that depressing thought aside, I like Zjarcal's idea of Avernus being able to make some sort of breakthrough that ensures Leli and her Warden lead a complete full life together, free of that sword hanging over their heads. Then again, she already dodged fate once with the DR, so who knows. Whatever the outcome though, my mage will be content with the life she lived with Leli.
