What makes me sad, is that I know Bioware could have done that scene much, much better. Much better.



I also support the idea of no prompts. I usally get the best results when I work on something that just came to me.

As some of you may know, I'm working on something Leli-related right now. College kinda sidetracks me at times however, but I'll try hard to finish it before the end of the week.

May take a while I just started playing BG1.

Not that I have stopped and started to rethink over my last US run I kept hearing this little voice in the back of my head telling me to stop and reload to get a better ending.



While I now do the DR after WH and see it as something that may be ok in the long run my Warden did not.



Fighting through the gates and hearing the final speeches, plus saying goodbye to Oghren actually made me sad "aye Warden aye". What really hurt though was hearing Leliana say:

"I WILL always treasure the time we shared toghther, no archdemon or darkspawn will ever take that from me"

and "win this war for us my love, and.. come home", I then realized I wasent coming back no matter what.



Which made me glad that this was my last US run I am going to do.



Now I need to ask though the slide I got:

It said that Leliana contined to adventure, or went after her old enemies in Orlais, but that she always remebered the one she loved.



What do you think happens to her after the warden goes US and she is hardened? I would hate to see in DA2, that Hawke comes across Leliana and she is so broken by this.



Still its one of the more moving endings in the game really outside the WC and LR ones.

Leli would probably lead an empty life as a hardened "widow" if I can use that term. On the outside she may seem alright, but inside the emptiness will just keep growing with every passing month. I doubt she would be able to love again, and she may become destructive and risk prone, hoping to die so that she can leave the world and pain behind. Of course, with a US Warden, there is no soul going to the Fade, so Leli will never be able to rejoin him/her in the afterlife, making things even more bitter for her.



It's a deep love, as deep as it gets, but it's also incredibly tragic. Leli surely doesn't deserve to live out the rest of her life like that.

I could easily see Leliana becoming a bard again after the warden dies, tying in with that the last post said. Anyway, call me soft but I prefer a happy ending to a moving one, I only ever did a Leli-romance/US character once, but by the time I got to the ritual I didn't like that playthrough anymore so I just killed her off to see what happened. Leliana was unhardened and killed herself, so you can bet that I won't be importing that save anywhere any time soon.

Also, I just realized I've never left Leliana at the gates in Denerim before, but that dialogue sounds much better than what she says when you take her along, might leave her behind on my current character. Could be cool if only the wardens face the archdemon, not looking forward to that fight though..

Oh, and forgive me for my absence in this thread. G-Man had to deal with Mr. Freeman again... He was running after Alyx Vance through City 17. NAKED. AGAIN.
Seriously. I wonder if Matriarch Benezia refunds this stasis tool I bought from her...

Depends on how you look at it. I saw it more as a positive line, so to speak.

And don't worry. I'm not gonna click that link. Messes up my in-game Steam browser for some reason...
