Hehe, with the proper mods you can easily have that scene.

I guess. Though that would require me to actually replay Awakening. No, no, nooo.

No, you wouldn't need to replay Awakening, just switch around some headmorphs.

If I tried that with Leliana then about 7 angry wardens would come out of my PC and try to kill me.

Like the Matrix.

Also made the very first lending library in America too.

Well I know that -.-
I had to write holiday song about him for my AP History class... but lets not go there...
It was sung to the tune of Frosty the Snowman...

I have zero singing ability, or musical ability.

A bard I am not.

Who needs musical talent? Bards sing by shouting "HAAAAAAAAAR".

The first time I used the Bard talent I almost fell out of my seat laughing.

I expected some cool song but got:

AAAAHhhhhhhhhhhhrrrrrrrggggggggggggghhhhhhH!!!!!!!

It made me lol.

The way Nate does it in Awakening is the worst of them all.

That was fun.

But his "ahhhhhhhhhhhhhgggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggggggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" song of courage was not.

Seriously, it lasted almost four times as long as the actual animation.

Song of Courage is a very useful talent to snag.

I had never done it before to be honest, I don't see him as a bard. But since he had that spare specialization point just begging to be used (he was Assassin/Ranger at the moment), I went ahead and made him a bard. Besides, I just love having the Song of Courage benefits.

To bring this back to Leli, of the three specializations other than bard, which one do you feel fits her the most? I would say Assassin fits her in the sense that she used to be one and certainly knows how to make an efficient kill.

I also like to give her the ranger spec on occasion, as I feel that she's the kind of girl who appreciates the wilderness. Duelist is the only one I feel doesn't really go with her.

Well I usually spec her as an duelist since I like the spec.

On my other wardens it depends.

My Dalish ranger made her a ranger so I had to big bears fighting with me.

My City elf who hardened her made her an assassin

I dont usually build companions the same way every game.

Marjolaine was a duelist? Or are we talking about Isabela?

I love the spec by the way and I have given it to her occasionally, but I just think the other ones go better with her character.

That's what I love about rogues, all four specializations are really great. With a warrior I'm kind of stuck with champion and... yeah, that's it. With mages, shapeshifter is almost useless unless you use the "shapeshifter advanced" mod.

Templar and Berserker are both awesome specs.

Though they suck up a lot of stamina very qucikly.

I personally avoid giving companions other specs. Or if I do, it's only for the bonus stats, but I usually don't give them the abilities.

Though yes, the bard abilities don't really give the impression of being highly trained assassins, so I could make Leli an assassin.

Since I like her too much, I usually always bring her with Arcturus, but as an archer since he is already a rogue.

Well in that case it's not a given she gets intimate with the duelist... so no duhhh!!! :police:

@Giggles:

Berserker is decent enough but I hate how two of the talents are just there to make up for the penalties the first one applies.

@KoP

Sometimes I only give one spec to certain companions because the other ones just don't fit their personalities. I make Sten a champion for instance but the other three really don't seem to fit him. I normally would avoid any other specs with Morrigan but I need Group Heal for the Cauthrien fight so she's always a spirit healer (even if it seems so wrong for her).

I hate the Cauthrien fight SO much.

My laptop lags like hell when it starts up and royally screws me over.

Though its so sastisfying to watch Cauthrien bite it I fight through the lag to see it.

I almost always spec her as Bard/Sin, but that's mostly from a game mechanics PoV.  Mark of Death is just insane and coupled with the bard songs and her trap detecting/unlocking she's like my go to utility girl.

I think it fits a bit better than ranger spec as well (even though she is an animal lover) just because there's really no kind of story behind where the ranger pets come from...  it's also a rather underwhelming spec until you max it.

I always keep her ranged, even though it's a bit UP in Origins, just because it seems like a character trademark(and tbh it has it's moments... Arrow of slaying that mage who aggros from accross the map is always nice).  It's funny cause I almost always wind up ignoring Morrigan's shapeshifting altogether and make her a CC/nuker.

Really?  I always make her a bloodmage since she technically does know blood magic.

@Giggles:

I don't get much lag during the Cauthrien fight but I do get a lot of lag during the final battle.

At any rate, I love the Cauthrien fight. It's the only battle that has never failed to challenge me in my five runs of DA.

@Axe:

Oh, I know she knows blood magic but I can't see her wanting to use her own blood to fuel her spells. Sure, she could use Alistair as a battery (:D), but that would mean having to have Alistair in the party... :unsure:

*fistbump*  Yes!  The Cauthrien encounter is the best fight of DAO!  I can't bring myself to skip it, even though the escape sidequest looks like fun...
