How diverse do you think Leliana's musical range happens to be? All we hear her sing is one song, and one song doesn't necessarily capture a singer's (or musician's) range of genres. Can she sing just about anything or is she limited to a couple of genres of music?

I think she can sing with a decent range.

Although its Aubrey Ashburn singing Leliana's Song not her.

I was poking around in the toolset and found this: "Special Skills: Singing - Leliana will sing several songs throughout the game. She should have a sweet voice, suited to folk songs."



It's too bad we didn't actually get to hear her singing several songs throughout the game. Her battle cry when activating her bard talents totally doesn't count.

According to some of the things in the toolset, Leli's role as a storyteller was going to be more significant and prominent. I assume singing was probably a part of it too.

And did you ever get to hear the humming?

EDIT: No, the song of courage "ahhhhhhhhh" definitely doesn't count!!

I left the game in windowed mode all afternoon yesterday, periodically checking in to select Leli, to no avail.

I have heard it before and it is simply awesome.

Maybe it triggers at certain approval levels.

Oh, you haven't heard the humming? I was getting that all the time during the last stage of the game. It's very sweet.

And if you think Leliana's battle cries are silly, you should try making the other rogues in the games into bards. I experimented with making Sigrun and Nathaniel into bards and then quickly re-loaded my saves. Trust me, Corrine Kempa did a pretty good job. (THE HORROR, THE HORROR ...)

Anyways, I know you guys dislike the Leliana M/F pairings in here, but I've been working on a story that has a bit of Warden/Leliana stuff in it. I posted the first few bits in Community Creations; it doesn't have Leliana in it, but I got one positive comment, I could post the remaining chapters, which feature her prominently ...

We love all things Leliana in here. I prefer the M/F romance to the F/F romance personally.

Nate's song of courage in particular was cringe worthy. Felt like he was passing as stone.

It's listed in the toolset under "bored" along with the whistle (which I have heard once). Zjar was kind of enough to point it out to me. Unfortunately, it can't be previewed there.



According to the wiki, it's tied to high approval so I made sure to use a save file with her approval maxed.



At this point, the elusive hum might just remain one of Leliana's many mysteries for me.

I WAS writing something, but I abandoned my work. The main reason was because someone else made a story which has many similarities with my story.

Another reason is because I'm too lazy. 

I would continue it, but I don't have a lot of spare time anyway.
