Oh no, it wasn't lame!! I'm just not familiar with that stuff as I haven't yet gotten there the ME games (just about midway through ME 1 at the moment).

I happen to agree with you about Garrus, but there's nothing wrong with a little romance.

Especially when that alien happens to be Liara.

Going through that as well at the moment... still undecided on what my final opinion will be.

That's really my issue, the way the romances are handled in ME, not so much Liara herself (although I'm yet to really fall for her, but I do like her).

Yep the Liara romance is kind of quick.

All of them feel quick. Hadn't played the first ME but in the second it goes like this: "I like you" conversation ---> period of time during which you can't really talk to your LI about anything but breaking up, if you choose so ---> Romance scene. The end.



DA:O felt more natural.

Yeah, that's why I'm glad I played ME first then DA. Pretty much all the interactions you can have in ME feel shallow in comparison to me now when I go back to replay it.

Just popped into this thread to say that I'm on my 2nd playthrough, romancing Leliana after romancing Morrigan on my first playthrough. Leli's sweetness is such a relief after Morrigan's ... well, you know.

Hiya folks.Just popped in to show my appreciation for this awesomely fun character.Though i didn't romance Leliana with my main (work in progress , i found her to be the most entertaining character to have around.I dare you to find a piece of dialogue that beats this:

If I ever have time to play through DAO again, I feel obligated to try different companions, but can't see ditching Alistaire, Morrigan and Leliana. Leliana and Sten were that good together? Sten wasn't high on my list -- I was thinking Zevren would be fun (although don't want two rogues, and can't live without Leli) and Shale (could see ditching Alistaire if need be, although was fun making him king).

My first run I had Alistair, Leliana and Wynne all the time. Now I have Sten, Zev, Leli/Morrigan/Shale/Wynne depending on what I feel like.

In fact, it wasn't even noticable that today was valentines day. Haven't heard anybody about it yet.
Except for this one classmate, who pulled a prank on someone else by putting a fake love letter in his locker. Don't know if I should laugh or feel bad for the dude now...

So I decided to fiddle around with the debug console in the post-epilogue (non coronation) save and triggered some of the romance lines... Damn did I miss out on some pretty nice content. And that probably wasn't even the entire thing that had to offer, since I was more or less winging it from the console.

Do you mean the dialogue in the post-coronation scene if you're in a romance with Leli but it's not at love? I've never heard it outside of the toolset, but, yeah, it's pretty cute.

Yeah, that pretty much sums up my feelings on it.  I was kinda disappointed.  The Miranda romance felt so flat after playing DAO.  I'm gonna give it another try with Jack though and see if that's a little more lively.


Also, @ that Leli picture.  Damn it feels like ages since I booted up DAO.
