Hey everyone I am a huge fan of Leliana but Mass Effect is my game so I usually stick in there but anyways. I have a question for you all.

I am creating sort of a back story for my Hawke in DA2 and I had an idea that Hawke would meet Leliana in Lothering and learn all of their skills from her. Is that plausible? And how do you think their interaction be like?

I guess it would be possible that Leliana and Hawke had met. In the time since Leliana joined the chantry in Lothering and before Hawke joined the army, that would have been a bit over a year of time, and they were living in the same town, so its quite possible they would have at least seen each other.

As for the teaching part, I doubt that. Leli was trying to put her time as a bard behind her and I do not think she would have had any interest in revealing her dark past to anyone in her time in the Lothering chantry. The way it's kind of hard for her to come clean and reveal everything to the Warden, I doubt she would have been talking to anyone about her past in her time in Lothering.

You could still make it kind of work. Somthing along the lines of:
Leliana sees Hawke training with a sword/dagger and stops to watch, and giggles at how badly Hawke is doing... She takes notice and shows Hawke how to properly hold a dagger and strike with it. After a quick lesson, she walks away without revealing anything about herself, leaving Hawke thinking: "Who was that? How does a chantry sister know so much about combat and the killing arts?" But he would never talk to her again, nor learn the answers to these questions.

I think the only way Leliana would cameo in DA2 would be on Chantry business. There is time during Awakening that she could be in Kirkwall. Seeing as the letter from Leliana says shes away on Chantry business.

Ever thought of how Leliana would tell the story of the Hero of Ferelden? I started to think about this a bit regarding Varric and his retelling of the Champion of Kirkwall. Leliana is quite the storyteller after all.

So, I actually got off my lazy ass, picked up a pencil and finished that Leliana piece I was talking about. I even feel better now.

Leliana is amused to no end at Petri's encounter with the most netherwordly creature he has ever met: Chanter Devons.

As long as she just makes a cameo and goes back to my Warden, it's okay. Though I'm not always fond of cameo's.

Sebastian is a Chantry priest, right? That fits with speculation that Leliana might be working for the Chantry in some capacity...eeeee!

Have you been able to examine said file? (Not sure what all can be viewed, examined, or modified with our current proggies ATM)

Same.

I'm not looking forward to this really, but we'll see. Loghain's cameo in Awakening is proof that they can do cameos properly, but I'm still uneasy about this.

As for hardening, I wonder if the cameo will vary (or will only occur) depending on the save we import.

I'm neutral when it comes to the cameo... but I'm sure if they do it it will be done well, why even bother to do it otherwise?

That's my point. The only reason to do it would be for fanservice, so she would probably have romance specific dialog.  There is no other point to do it other then to satisfy people like us.  

But maybe I'm too much of an optimistic for hoping good things can happen.

I don't mind a few cameos just for the sake of fanservice or continuity, but it shouldn't be a reunion tour by proxy.
