I imagine actually becoming a seeker has chastity vows involved....

Saw the bink movie where that came from.

Dig around in the usual movies folder (similar to where DAO's bink movies are found) and you'll find it.

The Seekers are supposed to be a special group within the Chantry. And templars don't take vows of chastity, so I imagine Seekers don't either. They're more like a special military arm of the Chantry than actual priests.

Seeker armor is even harder to acquire than normal templar armor. There are only 3 ways Leliana could come into possession of it:

1) She killed a Seeker and took his/her armor as a disguise

2) She was given the armor after becoming a temporary addition to Cassandra's group

3) She is actualy a permanent member of that organization

It also depends on how well Cassandra knows the men and women under her command. If she knows the names and faces of most of them, that would make Leliana's chances of infiltrating Cassandra's group very low, if not outright impossible.

Personaly, I think option 2) is the most likely scenario. Cassandra needed someone who is skilled in the art of espionage to help her discover the truth about Hawke and probably track his/her companions down and Leliana, as a former bard with ties to the Chantry, was the best choice.

Either way, I don't have DA2 pre-downloaded. Gotta wait for it to arrive.

Eh I won't spoil it nvm. But the story with Leliana brings up some issues for ABL thats for darn sure.

My canon warden sacrificed himself, so that made me think.... Well, you have to consider that not everyone had their warden romance Leliana (shocking, I know, but there are people like that) so the cameo would have to be generic enough to consider all possibilities. 

I expect no direct reference to her relationship with the warden by Leliana in her cameo, except for maybe something very general like "I travelled with the warden who saved Ferelden" or something along those lines.

No there is a big big reference to the warden (if he or she is alive) and you romanced her. The whole reason she is in the seekers is because of the warden.

Ugh... this gives me a headache. It could be a good storyline if it's handled well... or it could be a terrible one. 

Either way, there's no damn good reason for my warden to be missing... she was done adventuring damn it!

What I'm wondering is why the Warden disappeared at all. And why have Leliana go looking for her/him if Bioware doesn't plan to bring the Warden back in future games.

Doesn't make sense if they're not going to have her find the Warden at some point or let us know what happened to him/her.

Hell, it's not even consistent with the Leliana romance ending from Awakening, but I guess that's hardly a surprise. *sigh*

Might be.

If it is, then this opens up a question of whether Morrigan wanted the book purely to find the Eluvian or if there was more she wanted to learn from it. Perhaps it contains a list of Flemeth's visions of the future or a glimpse of her plan?
