The Bard from Orlais - A Leliana Appreciation thread

Even with a save game generator, DA2 still tells me that Leliana was never romanced. But then again, I ticked the box "Played Witch Hunt".
Makes me wonder what DA2 will say if I don't tick the box "Played Witch Hunt"... Something worth looking into.
And it also tells me that she slept with Isabella, one of the many untrue things.
Guess we'll have to wait for a fix for this then. 'cause it's really annoying.

Thats all she says, oh and yes I made my warden into Hawke... so it was awkward moment with him standing right there in front of her XD.

I agree, and feel that this whole Seeker thing was a major blunder.Well, I guess we shall see what happens. I'm simply of the opinion the writers should have left Leliana out of the further DA stories, beyond the occasional mention (having created this ballad, or gone on that expedition with the Warden, etc.)

...Yeah. That pretty much sums it all up. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/joyful.png[/smilie]
Anyway, I have tried out my newly generated save files that doesn't have any Witch Hunt nor Golems of Amgarrak plot flags activated. And, surprisingly, DA2 still said that I NEVER romanced Leliana.
I really think it's the game itself. Somewhere somehow in the beginning it messes with the plot flags of Leliana's romance.
@ SPARTAN:
If I may ask, during which quest is that? And how did you manage to trigger that cutscene??

I'm probably one of the few who doesn't mind Bioware bringing back certain "dead" characters and making them more important. So long as they don't drop a bridge on Leliana/Warden, I'm cool.

Was it? Because I remember her having an amulet called "Seekers Circle" when you met her in Lothering which is restricted to her.
The description is a bit odd:
"A wheel representing the Maker's unending patience and Andraste's
unquenchable passion. Simple and inspirational, though uncommon outside
the Chantry. A gift meant to be given without conditions."
but still I think she might have been one of the seekers even before meeting Marjolaine. Or maybe where BW might have blundered is with the Seekers being an actual Organization instead of just a symbol of Andraste.
For all I know she was a seeker already in Lothering.

Hmmm, I see.DrunkDeadman wrote...
@Whacka, the scene is from Sebastian's quest "Faith" in Act 3.
I jumped to Act 3 using the command console, but I couldn't "access" the Companion Quest section while I was in Act 3. Probably because there wasn't any real quest. And I didn't have Sebastian as a companion at the time.
Gonna look into it to see if what was shown was wrong, or if the Leliana romance flags are completely bugged (same for Leliana having slept with Isabella: it alwasy seems to be true, no matter what).
Still, that leaves me to wonder how SPARTAN got that dialogue... I'm a bit curious, considering the plot flags are seemingly completely bugged.
Otherwise, I'd like to know how he managed to import a save that recognizes the Leliana romance plot flags.

I'm going trough a platrough in which I did not import Witch Hunt to see if it would correct the romance flags, and am currently near the end of Act 2. I'll post if there'll be any difference on my end.
I generated a save game in which I romanced Leliana and that didn't have any Witch Hunt plot flags. Yet the console told me that I never romanced her.
Strange really, considering the other flags work like they are supposed to. (Except for the fact that, apparently, the Warden was both a human noble and a dwarf noble...
I hope you turn up something different in this. Otherwise, I'm gonna file a complaint.

The Leliana's Song DLC is absolutely brilliant, and I loved it exploration of Marjolaine's betrayal, and Leliana's past life as a bard. The script was great, and I thought the music was incredible. It certainly did feel like Leli endured a genuine struggle, and I really did empathise with her.
Leliana is a beautiful character, and I'm eager to see her in further Dragon Age games and material.

Seeing as the Seekers are a separate from Templars (and I guess much smaller) order not focused on dealing with mages, I doubt they're given lyrium.KnightofPhoenix wrote...
So ,seeing how Leliana seemingly joined the Seekers. You think she got the Lyrium treatment?

Is the result the same for all 4 end saves (DAO, DAA, GOA, WH)?

Yeah, I doubt they have the Lyrium thing.
However, doesn't the Codex hint that Seeker's might be immune to Blood Mage mind control? So there might be something else at work there too...

But alas, poor Leliana romance. Twas still not recognized by the DA2 console.
I still got a post conoration save, so I'll try that one instead.

This time, I imported a DAO post-conoration save. But this time, it did recognize the flag of having made love with Leliana, but not having romanced her. >_>
Seriously though, this should be fixed. If they can't do something right, then they shouldn't do it at all. I don't like it when I have to play with an import that has decisions I never made.
Edit:
Woops! Error on my side.
This time DA2 recognized the Leliana romance. But it didn't recognize the fact of having "made love" with Leliana.
Still annoying.
