Leliana's almost forty when you meet her in game. Why does she look younger than she did in DAO?

Like I said earlier kickass Orlesian anti-aging cream.:wizard: I hear it has smashed enchantment stones blended into the ointment.

The rings are a beautiful touch.

The whole DA2 ending really got me depressed. Seriously, couldn't they have left her and the Warden alone :crying:
Oh well, it's great to see her regardless.

It's also interesting to note that she is the only character from Origins that looks great in DA2. Alistair and Zevran made me cry :innocent:

Pretty much this.

I haven't met Zevran in-game though. I did see some pictures of him however.
And to me Alistair looked like a wrinkled old man...

Maybe they have a special reunion planned? ...OK, who am I kidding - it's probably going to be one-size-fits-all if there's going to be one at all. Even though there may be some Wardens who won't be able to get Leliana out of that Seeker armor fast enough, other Wardens who want to catch up on old times, and others who probably wouldn't see it as anything special.

Heh, it's something to hope for :P
If we play as a Seeker or the general concenseus of Orlais is accurate, then we may be able to interact with her more.

Her appearance in DA2 is in Act 3, which is also the time you meet up with Alistair (or whoever you chose for the throne). During his cameo, the King and Teagan mention that the Warden should be back in Denerim (I think we can draw a conclussion that this may be the time he/she disappeared).

So, by certain calculations the two of them got separated before his/her disappearance.
Only one possible question comes to mind at the moment:    Why?!?!?!??

I see the image more as a sneak peek to what his fanfic holds...

Though I'm not sure about that. But doesn't every fanfic with love interests usually result in rainbows, meadows filled with flowers and marriages? And unicorns, too?

Either way, that reminds me of how much I have to change in my own fanfic... Blergh. And I don't even have a title yet. <_< Double blergh. Then again, I think that I'm asking for too much feedback and opinions here and there. People were very annoyed today by my questions. Triple blergh.

x 3 multiplier.

Yeah, today is one of those great days.

Please stop talking about fanfics.

I have just about everything set up in my head, and I'm itching to put it on paper, but when I do, I loose interest in writing very quickly. I also got a fairly short one-shot I started almost a year ago. Still not done. Not even gonna mention how long it is since I started my main story. It's irritating. *sigh*

Canon?

Sorry if I sound stupid here, but... what does "canon" mean?

I'm too new to all this RPG stuff.

Anyway, I don't think I'll be breaking any "canon" with my fanfic. I intend to try and follow the lore AND the game, though I might play with some considerable possibilities and questions (as in things that are questionable (like this: if Mabari can be cured from the Taint with a Wilds flower, then is there a reason why humans, elves, dwarves, etc. can't?).

@Whacka: Canon is basically anything that's official within the fictional universe. You got the right idea there.

I'm big on following canon. Things that can be changed, (such as all the possible "Wardens" from the origins appearing alive and well even without Duncan's help) I change to suit my taste. There is no canon regarding them.

Ah, I see...

I had that idea for a while, too. But then disposed of it.

Basically, when my fanfic is "done", or so to speak, I simply wait for DA3 to come out. Then I'll see what happens there.
Since the disappearance of the Warden is canon, I'm not gonna play with that... However, there were some questionable things in the game. Like Teagan saying that "the Warden should be in Denerim by now".

I have used that to my advantage, to give me a reason for my Warden to go on a revenge route. It's also fortunate I found out that West Hill is rumored to be haunted, since that's where my Warden comes from...

Yeah, I like to add my own touch to it. Just being a Cousland or an Aeducan just seems so... generic to me. But I guess that not much people will like the way I take...

Anyway, my suggestion for writing down your fanfic is this:
Do it while it is still in your head.
Write it down, type it in Word or WordPress or whatever you have. That's what I did too.

When inspirations strikes, write it all down.

Thanks. That's what I try to do, however sometimes I just don't feel it. I've constantly got ideas in my head. They come easy to me. The problem is describing those ideas in writing, but now I'm getting this thread off topic.
So Leliana... amazing voice she got. Posted Image We need more songs from her in DA3 (or whenever she appears). Better animated hopefully.

Trust me when I say my fan fic goes all the way. No "And they lived happily ever after DONE!" Of course there are those happy moments thats what makes my fan fic so popular it seems. But of course those sad moments always grip the readers even more so of course I'm having some heart shattering moments in the story. I've had people say they actually cried reading the last chapter that was the archdemon battle. (surprised me all I can say.)
Its always so difficult not to spoil moments but the priiiiize... I don't know what the prize is after all that waiting...

The only canon I'm breaking in my fan fiction is my Hawke (The crock of sh*t that he is) kicks Anders out of Kirkwall early. (Pretty much mugs anders for the maps) so Anders joins my fan fiction's party. And thus without anders in Kirkwall there is no BOOM and thus no big mage templar hissy fit. Take a variable out of an equation and the answer doesn't come out the same... or something like that.

But yeah that drawing is a significant moment and after that wedding image I posted a couple pages back. Perhaps telling him something life changing. hmmmm *scratches beard*

... Technically speaking I'm not breaking any "canons" with my latest fanfic but I'm sure there's plenty of people mumbling about how I made Bethany have a crush on Leliana. Even if it's pretty platonic.

I try to stick to the facts of the games to the best of my ability but I did change the way Tamlen's death was handled in my Dalish/Leli fic... and most of my readers agreed the change was for the best.

I just beat DA2 and i notice Leliana did not know were (if romanced) the Warden went is this another damn game bug or is this the way it is supposed to be because i know i romanced her with my Dalish elf(Avatar to the left) and in Origins it is said Leliana and the Warden traveled together and in Awakening it also said that they meet up and traveled together on that game as well.It is funny because Leliana said that my Warden was dear to her if you have Sebastion DLC and you finish his mission but as i said she said the Warden is gone WOW and she does not know were he went.So is this a game bug or did you guys who also romanced Leliana get the same ending?

When Faith DLC happens the warden has not vanished.
By the time that DA2 ends the warden and Hawke have both vanished.

The only real Leliana bug is her not saying:
"The Warden is ... dear to my heart"

Is that the Witch Hunt and Awakening save game that makes Leliana say "The Warden is ...dear to my heart" even if the Warden romanced her?

Leliana died in one of my playthroughs on my friend's pc before I got the game myself, I killed her myself by beheading her after she attacked me. My friend has told me he imported that file in DA2 and she was alive and well and even said the warden was dear to her heart. LOL, fail.

So you romanced her before you tried to kill her. Then you are dear to her heart.

We had good times, and I look back on those fondly. Whatever happened after will never change the truth of the past. I miss her and I probably always will. I will just... move on. - Leliana about Marjolaine

Yeah, i'm surprised she still has feelings for Marjolaine after what she did to her. Not to mention Leliana just lets her walk away scott-free at the end of LS. If I was her I would hate Marjolaine with every fiber of my being.

Its not that surprising even couples who have divorced and married other people still have feelings for their ex. My father still loves his ex he just couldn't stand her. People always keep the feelings they felt for someone even if the other did something atrocious or something its only natural. The only way to remove those feelings is to remove the memories.
