Its not that surprising even couples who have divorced and married other people still have feelings for their ex. My father still loves his ex he just couldn't stand her. People always keep the feelings they felt for someone even if the other did something atrocious or something its only natural. The only way to remove those feelings is to remove the memories.

Marjolaine cheated, lied, stabbed, framed, imprisoned, and tried to kill Leliana. And she says she still misses her? I just find it amazing she still admits having feelings for her.

She misses the Marjolaine she loved, the one she has all those fond memories of (the one who had a weakness for sugary cakes). That Marjolaine died the moment she betrayed her. She doesn't miss the woman who betrayed her, she misses the woman she used to love.

There's nothing odd about her missing that particular part of the relationship.

Nice sketch. While I'm more into 3D art, I can appreciate good 2D art as well.

Squee! I really like the eyes. No matter how I look at her, my eyes are drawn to her's. Great job.

My spring break ended two weeks ago. /sadface

So, there is current speculation that Leliana was always a seeker, and that she lied to you the entire time (including visions from the Maker). And indeed, her starting amulet is "Seeker's circle"? Add to that Dorothea, whom Leliana might have been working with the moment she met her.

Hypothetically speaking if that was true, how would you people react? To both Bioware and Leliana as a character.

I doubt that example KoP.

She was just waiting in an inn in Lothering.
On the off chance that the warden was going to walk into it.

Not a great plan der.

Take it for what it is?

OOU, I may take it as a "winging this on the fly" revelation; IU, take it much like the revelation that she was an Orlesian bard.

The next question then becomes, how many people knew?

The Battle of Ostagar had been shaping up for some time, and Lothering is more or less a pit stop between there and Redcliffe and Denerim. When everybody heads back, win or lose, they're passing through Lothering.

Yes.

She just happens to be standing around in Dane's Refuge.
Where the warden can easily walk right on by.

That is a great bit of Seeker work right there.

I can see why people could think that but... what exactly would be her purpose? Why would a green warden recruit (who no one has any reason to believe is so great) be of such importance to the seekers?

Not to mention that you passing by Lothering was a mere coincidence. It's not like the Seekers knew that some warden who survived the battle of Ostagar would pass by Lothering at that moment. Unless they can predict the future and they sent Leli to Lothering for that reason...

If the idea is that her joining the warden is all part of a grand scheme... yeah, I don't see that.

That being said, I wouldn't mind if she had a connection to the Seekers from the begginning.

I always assumed that she became a Seeker during Awakening, cause her letter involved her going to meet with the Grand Cleric, who in DA2 becomes the Divine. But considering I doubt anyone here minded Leliana hiding her past about being a bard, I don't see why her being a Seeker would matter.

Although part of that may be the fact that we have no idea what a Seeker does, besides watch the Templars.

Edit: I just thought of something. Maybe she was a Seeker before her vision, when she left for Lothering, and meeting the Warden & party was a simple coincidence.

It does sound a bit convoluted yea.

I am leaning more towards the idea that she had relations with the Seekers via Dorothea from before the game. But wasn't yet active.

That's what I would think as well. The "Seeker's Circle" amulet could be a hint of that (nice find there).

COULD BE:

Maybe at the end of Leliana's Song Dorothea offered to make her a Seeker for her Bard Experience.
But Leliana turned her down but got the Seeker amulet just in case.

She meets the warden in Origins, then gets back into center stage and joins the seekers to help find the warden.
Myself I think that Awakening happened the same time that the FAITH quest in DA2 meaning that Leliana was helping Dorothea at that time.

Then when Hawke and the Warden go poof Leliana joins the seekers to help them find the warden and Hawke.

The Chantry is not in cahoots with Flemeth. Flemeth is Dorothea. Flemeth IS the Chantry.

It could also be possible that Leliana wasn't ready to be a Seeker yet (maybe needed a bit more faith for the role) and she was called to be a Chantry initiate/lay sister.

If she wasn't a Seeker initially, I think that she was called during the events of Awakening to become a Seeker. Or she could have become one upon the Anointing of the new Divine. Given the Divine's connections to Leliana, one can just put 2 and 2 together.

Not possible. Or at least, not the part that Awakening and Faith happened at the same time.

The events of Awakening take place 6 months after the Blight.
The quest Faith takes place 6 years after the Blight.

There was probably some connection between Leliana and the Seekers at the time DA:O took place. Leli never had a problem with being a bard, just with the betraying and killing people like Majorlaine did. Having her join the seekers would allow her to keep using her bard skills but for a greater cause than simple money.

Btw, did anyone else get the comment from Aveline about Leliana in the Kirkwall Chantry?

Aveline: "I should feel at peace here, but I cannot due to that red haired tricker in Lothering."

Seems like our favorite redhead wasn't exactly an innocent sister during her stay in Lothering. ;)

I admit, I'd feel quite betrayed if Leliana had been hiding that from my liberatarian mage Warden all that time.
