Would say, probably. The "she's been the Seeker whole time" theory is a little far-fetched given she does spend couple years laying low in Lothering. And the description of her amulet says it's "A gift meant to be given without conditions."

But that said the "probably" was always there, even when it was just DAO. Considering what she tells you about bards and how she's used to work.

This really isn't a very plausible idea if you give it any thought.

Leliana was sent to Lothering 2 years before anyone knew anything about the blight. Her being there is a mere coincidence.

And I seriously doubt she was made a Seeker just as Dorothea met her right after Leliana's Song. Being who she was the chantry was already taking a large risk taking in a emotionally broken Bard who was being charged with treason. I guess you could argue that the only reason the Chantry would take that risk (if you don't believe they like to help people) was to use her for her skill, but if you haven't noticed the Seekers seem to be on their A-game which Leliana is not at the end of that DLC.
So even if they had planned to use Leliana they would have been better off to leave her alone and let her find "peace in the Maker" so she would have no problems in working for them if they ever needed her.

I agree it wouldn't be easy for me at all as well.

If it was true it makes her no different then Marjolaine... IMO

I don't think she joined the Seekers during the events of DA:O. Heck, I'd wager she wasn't a Seeker when you meet her in Viscount's Keep during the Faith quest.

To me it seems that Leliana was attached to Cassandra and the Seekers after the whole mages vs templar war erupted in order to help them in their search for Hawke and probably report their findings to the Divine.

I'm waiting for the day that more hairstyles is applicable to DA2 so I can have my AlleyKatze Leliana back even if shes in the game for a short time and then the ending is a bink video file so it won't apply to that scene of her but I dealt with that in Leliana's Song DLC.

Caveat: I do not own nor intend to play DA2 because there's too much I didn't like about the demo and the pre- and post-release information, so I only have second-hand knowledge of it.

I don't think Leliana was a Seeker during Origins, and I agree with those who said posting a highly-trained special agent of the Chantry in some backwater hamlet at the arse-end of the world for years just in case anyone important runs by at some point in the future for whatever reason -- well, pretty far "out there". The Blight was not on anyone's radar when Leliana came to Lothering, and even if it had been and the Chantry wanted a finger on the pulse of the whole mess, it would make far more sense and likely not be difficult to get a Seeker into Cailan's entourage.

And I must say, I really like the idea of her becoming a Seeker. It strikes me as the "most complete" development for her since it allows her to put her skills and desire for excitement to use for her strong faith. A win-win situation. Of course, my personal canon is the Ultimate Sacrifice, which means the Warden is out of the equation for the dear bard's post-Origins life. And since her epilogue in that case can be interpreted as suicidal, which did not sit well with me, her finding a purpose again is a relief. It wouldn't even feel like a retcon to me, just like an incomplete tale. I wonder how much they'll eventually reveal about Leliana's experiences and decisions post-Origins and pre-DA2-endgame.

I haven't been keeping up with news for a couple weeks so I need some help from the Leli thread. Is it correct that the latest patch DOES NOT fix the Leliana romance import issues with DA2 when you import a post-Origins save? If thats the case I will be a sad panda.

From what I've heard, they're working on more important issues, like game freezes and such. You may commence with the Sad Panda-being.

If you import directly from Origins the import flags work.... if you really want to see it bad use and Origins import.
.-. Theres also a mod for pc... typically things that can be fixed with mods get ignored.
