DA2 does not recognize that Leliana was romanced in Origins because the flag is not imported.

The flag is imported, it's the approval issue that borks things.

Did Leli mention that the warden was "dear to her heart"? That's what she says when the import is working properly and recognizes the relationship as active. Otherwise, the approval issue takes priority (where approval is set to zero, and the game thinks the relationship was ended), and Leli only says that she knew you but that was a long time ago.

Ah, I see. 

No, in that cased it was bugged in all my playthroughs as well. She only said that she wrote songs about her time with my Warden, but that it happened a long time ago.

I wasn't even aware that she was supposed to say the "dear to her heart" line.

I've had to replay Origins 3 times, and DA2 3 times just to hear that line.

Not to boast but I've played Origins around 10 times through now. 7 of those were my Warden Cogdale with Leliana XD.
I've played DA2 3 times but I've lost interest, thankfully that "Apology"(ME2) from Bioware is keeping me occupied. After ME2 back to playing DAO another time through.

I'm not saying it to brag. It's more of a self-depreciative joke than anything else. Don't read it as "I managed to beat Origins three times!" Think of it as "I am so obsessed with getting a single sentence of no plot relevance in one game, that I replayed another game, doing the exact same thing, 3 times!"

I've finished DA2 7 times so far and plan to keep replaying it with new characters. I probably won't reach 30 characters like I did with DA:O, but the game sure is fun. 

Now, if only Bioware finaly released some damn DLC...

And on topic! The line that sends chills up my spine is simply " Or you may call me Leliana" The way she rolls the "Ls" in her name was done absolutely perfectly!!

Does that work? Not sure if any of the choices I made in Awakening are more important to me than making sure Leliana imports correctly...

Can't imagine they retconned her back to life (they say it isn't a retcon but c'maan!) just to cameo twice. Looking forward to it!

Ooh, fancy that, thanks. Too bad I've basically got a bunch of DA2 characters I'd be afraid to import into any new content just because I don't trust that they imported from DAO correctly, here's to hoping that's all sorted at some point.

Yeah, I looked it up myself. It's so much better then in the vanilla game. I just love her giggle after someone comments on our public display of affection. I love repeating the love scene sometimes. <3

Besides, every Warden deserves some nice "spare time" to do "other kinds of stuff", right?

Hey, long time no post. I finally got around to playing the Faith quest with Leliana in it; I was actually pretty happy with her cameo, I had forgetten how sweet her voice is, it has been so long. And when she says "He was dear to my heart" and "You may call me Leliana"... She also looks so much prettier in DA2, with the darker hair and deeper, bluer eyes... Ah, it makes me want to replay DAO again, but I have so many other games I want to play too and so little time...

Also, is it any different if the warden had romanced her and lived versus having sacrificed?

And I find it hard to imagine how some of you guys manage to play DA2 so many times in such a short period of time. Heck, I've barely finished my first playthrough. Origins I understand, I can see myslef playing through that a fe more times hopefully, but DA2 just gets so repetitive I sometimes found it hard to go on by the time i got to Act 3. Maybe I'll play DAO one more time and import that into DA2 (on the xbox) one more time in a year or so, but I can't see myself playing through 2 more than twice...

We'll see what happens with Morrigan, but we were always going to be better off than Zevran and Alistair fans, their characters didn't even get their own DLC.

It's pretty obvious that she wanted to go with you. When you bring her with you, you can ask if she wants to stay, and she pretty much says "No, I want to be with you." If you don't let her come with you, she mentions that she's more scared about not being able to protect you.
From a story point of view, though, it still makes sense for me to do it. Once Riordan told the Grey Warden's other little secret, my Warden tried to break up with Leliana, until she went on that short bit on "love is". Throw that in adittion with the shock of "One of us is going to die tommorow" and you get someone desperate enough to go for Morrigan's ritual, and he'd want to keep her as close to him as he can.

God I wanted to have a conversation with her about it, Like if she approved or not, I didn't like doing it behind her back. I mean she tells us who she really is and spills her guts out to us. And what do we do? We secretly have sex with Morrigan. I know Morrigan says that Leliana would allow us to do so but still a heart felt conversation on what she thought would've been a nice touch.

Well for us Male Wardens who romanced her anyways. The Final battle gate kiss mod only works for Zevran it seems I was hoping that Leliana would do it as well but nothing ever happened. When you leave her at the gate it seems appropriate for a last kiss.

Well I also have Dialogue Tweaks so I could kiss her wherever I wanted and listen to In Uthenera all the time. But it seems Tweaks causes alot of issues.
