So out of curiosity who uses the toolset to create their characters and who just uses the default character creator. I love the toolset and waste hours in the thing picking at designs I've made.

I don't have the toolset...  I'll get it as soon as they publish "Toolset for Idiots"
but, I am curious as heck.. I've watched a video of a storyline some one did with it.. OH Man!!
Me I used the ingame character creator with mods.

I will make a HNM warrior to swoon Leliana.. in make him close to someone once very near and dear to mePosted ImagePosted Image and then pretend I'm Leliana...  (Posted Imagewonder if that will work)

The toolset is worth getting simply to see all the dialogue options in the game, imo. I know that's all I ever use it for.

I've been modding since Command & Conquer Red Alert and I initially found the Dragon Age toolset utterly baffeling. I use to get angry at it and have to walk away but I must have spent and entire month learning to use it and learning to make faces in it. Basically instead of playing a game in my free time I'd sit down in front of the toolset and use it until it made me mad. I actually really like the program now It's one of the most powerful I've used before but it has a bit of a learning curve to put it lightly. I really only think my faces have been good recently I hated my morphs for the longest time.

So do you use notebook (or wordpad) for scripting or does it have it's own program?

It has it's own pretty much everything, scripting, cutscenes, equipment loadouts, rules, dialogue trees it can change anything and create anything that exists within the game engine.

It's free you just have to be registered with Bioware, getting the toolset was actually the reason I ended up joining this site in the first place.

All you need to download it is a registered copy of the PC game.

No nothing engine related, that tends to be illegal. The engine can't be modify since it's usually built with 3rd party software and tools that the developer doesn't own.

The very first thing you'll need to do is go to file, manage modules, then click on single player. After that, make sure the palette is open (on view) and you're set.

As I am currently in Paris waiting for my flight, I feel a unusual amount of longing towards Leliana. Est-ce possible que Paris ma si soudainement ensorcelée?

Could be. Or maybe it's Leliana and her inherent stickiness sticking into your mind. I call it "Lelianaism"!

Its Asian Civ though, I already know it forwards and backwards. Besides I cant decide right now whether to pursue a full 2H since I need the acheivement, or start a new mage since I only have the elemental acheivement.
