The Bard from Orlais - A Leliana Appreciation thread

@Leni
That Bethany/Leliana drawing is nice, but I don't think Bethany ever mentioned Leliana in any of my playthroughs. Is that from her banter with Isabela or a comment she makes at a particular place, like the Chantry?

She does in the Chantry if you click on her...
"I miss the Chantry in Lothering. Sister Leliana told the best stories!"

Aveline has a similiar line, "I don't trust chantry sisters. Ever sense that red haired trickster in Lothering."Zjarcal wrote...

What did everyone's favorite red-head do to the other, not as interesting, red-head in Thedas, I wonder...

Anyway, I also would like to know what could Leli have done to earn Aveline's mistrust. Lenimph speculated that maybe her husband had a crush on Leliana.

It'd be funny if she also presented the idea of tagging along to Aveline... that conversation would've been fun.

Or, she might have told Aveline that they should go shopping together

Aveline hates that God damned story with the passion of a thousand burning suns.
I can imagine what happened if the two of them met.

Damnit Leliana. You're supposed to be adventuring alongside the warden, not gallivanting off playing ninja-nun. If DA3 doesn't feature the Warden smacking the Divine, I'll be very disappointed.
Seriously, Leliana is supposed be traveling with my Warden. And now that's retconned. Perhaps I should retcon the DA2 events in my fanfic and dismiss them as not worth mentioning...
Either way, Leliana drew the short end of the stick again.
And to demonstrate how I felt when I found this out (and started to think about things):

As I said earlier:Finding it a bit odd the urn of sacred ashes is mentioned in her death slide. I mean, if you defile the ashes, I was under the impression the temple was never found and/or demolished by an irate high dragon.
"BioWare just could've said "...And then the Urn toppled over and fell on Leliana's body, bringing her back to life... and reattaching her head to her body. Like a boss."
Well, not exactly in those words, but I have to remain positive!

Well I suspect being roped into being Fereldan's Commander of the Grey didn't make it easy to go on awesome adventures anymore. My personal canon has the Wardens spending the entire 6 months between Origins and Awakening going "Damn it, why are these two so hard to find?!" anyway.Whacka wrote...

My Warden was like "FUDGE! The Grey Wardens... my feelings are more important" No but really in my canon/fan fiction My Warden flips off The First Warden via letter and says Leliana is more important. A little selfish and selfless at the same time. So the Orlesian Warden takes his place. The instant Urthemiel got a blade in his dragony skull Cogdale renounced his Wardenhood.

That seems to be the case for many other fanfics.SPARTAN 089-Gary wrote...

Not that it is a bad thing.
Scratch that. I remember posting some time ago that Leliana tied up my Warden, gagged him, slung him over her shoulder and headed to Orlais.
Might as well do that instead.
Or just the occasional thing: no Awakenings for the Warden.
Should've done that loooong ago...

Heh, yes. I tend to imagine that those wardens I didn't import into Awakenings simply slung Leliana over a shoulder and legged it. If it wasn't for the whole Sister Nightingale thing, that actually would still work as an explanation.
Boo.

If the Warden went willingly, and had a heads-up about where they were going, wouldn't they know a bit more?

Well the letter from Leliana you get suggests that the only reason she's not at the Keep is because she's with the Grand Cleric. Hell, maybe she's waiting in the Throne Room for the Warden after he slaughters The Mother.revan11exile wrote...
So guys were do you think the Warden went and why did he/she leave Leliana behind because i though my Warden would spent all of his time with Leliana after he came back from DAA?

Shepard Shepard, or Shepard Shepard?
I'm just saying, I'd much rather be dragged out of bed by Joe Flanigan than Mark Meer. It's a preference I assume my Warden would share.

Maybe it's the fact that I'm a guy, but I'd be terrified if your avatar dragged me out of my bed. Then again, I wouldn't mind the other Shepard...DrunkDeadman wrote...
