Regardless of the fact that Leliana seems extra curious about the elf warden (Dalish in particular) and wants to learn about their culture...
thinking elves are pretty= racist apparently
Also I never thought she was anti-mage either.
And apparently I have to finish Asunder.
And yeah the only reason I bought Asunder is because of Leliana... I have no shame

Personally, i never saw it as Racism.
It sort of is, though. You don't have to be malicious to be a racist.
Even if she means it well, the was she speaks of elves is othering and demeaning in a way that in our society is comparable to saying, for instance, "African-Americans are so oppressed in your country, in my country they are slightly less oppressed and valued for being good servants and pretty to look at." You can see how that would be problematic.
Leliana being racist doesn't make her a bad person, however. She is a product of a horribly racist society that hasn't taught her any other ways of thinking, as she tells you. The elf conversation is one of my favorites precisely because you get her to consider the errors of her own views and even thanks you for it.

My biggest problem with her is her waffled faith in the Maker. After you finish her quest you can even get her to admit that the only reason she joined the Chantry was to escape Marjolaine and used her faith in the Maker to repress her troubled past. Another example of this would be after the scared ashes quest you can get her to admit that she seems to only to believe in Andraste and the Maker just to simply believe. What make matters worse is now she's the Chantry leader's main enforcer or something.
She really needs to decide on her faith....
Perhaps she can convert to the Qun? XD
Edit: I forgot to mention this, but the Guardian was another example of her mixed faith in the
Chantry. He seem to question her faith and stated that she simply made up her vision for attention.

Leliana is one of my favorite characters in Dragon Age. I really loved how she has a story for everything and how poetic she is. She's my favorite romance in origins.

I've been a subscribed member of this forum for several months now, and I apologize that I haven't taken the opportunity to introduce myself until now. However, I thought that this posting required a response..
What is faith?
I personally believe that the basis of almost every faith is HOPE. Faith doesn't require any proof, just the ability to trust and believe that there is more to life than just mere existance. It gives life meaning and purpose.
Now take into consideration almost every conversation that you have with Leliana regarding her faith, as well as her time in the Chantry. Hope, belief and her trust in the Maker and Andraste's teachings is always the theme (even when you harden her).
Yes, there are times when everything seems to work against us - and we sometimes question our faith. It is during those times in which our faith becomes even more important, to be able to pick ourselves up again and to be able to continue on. For it is because of our HOPE of something better for ourselves and the world we live in.

Regardless of her faith in the Maker, she seemed have really evolved since Origins. She didn't seem as frivolous in DA2; despite her minor appearance in it. Considering how she would have to be in her mid-thirties since the end of DA2, it would be awesome seeing a more mature and hardened Leliana as a companion in the future games.

I could not agree more! I too, would love for Leliana to have a more predominant role in a future game - along with my Warden from DA:O/Awakenings. After all, at the ending of Origins I always choose for them to stay together (either in Ferelden advising Alistair, or traveling together). She should have been a companion in Awakenings and throughout the majority of the DLC. I do, however, agree with Bioware's decision of her not being included in Witch Hunt - as that was a personal matter between my Warden and Morrigan because of the "Dark Ritual" - but I have never choosen to leave with Morrigan (nor have I killed her).
I guess it's just that I would like a little bit of closure for my Warden and Leliana - the love of his life. Let's face it, due to the taint, my Warden is on borrowed time (after all).

Yeah, It would be amazing to get a better ending to my Warden's romance with her. I've noticed that a lot of people seem to say the same thing. The players were never given a proper conclusion to their romance with both Leliana and Zevran. You could marry Alistair and become Queen of Ferelden ,or travel with your child and Morrigan to the great unknown. Leliana and Zevran it's just...."We've parted ways...".

1: This would completely go against her morality. Slaughtering and imprisoning mages just for being mages wouldn't be something she would do.
2: Asunder seems to show that she and the Divine are actually more sympathetic to the mages and wants to bring peace between the two groups. The templar are even separate from the Chantry now if I'm not mistaken.
3: Although I admit that she's devout to the Maker and I retract my previous argument about her faith, she still seemed dissatisfied with the zealot fraction of the Chantry (She even states this in Origins) and perhaps she and the Divine are trying to give it much needed reforms.
Maybe I'm just in denial and don't want to be forced to kill my Warden's girlfriend.
I hope she returns as a companion in D3 since they seem to imply that she's been looking for people to help stop the Mage/Templar War. (Hint hint)

I was wondering if Leliana is returning in DA3 (if romanced) should she be with or Wardens or do you guys believe she does not no were the Warden is?
I don't think she knows where the Warden is...

I suppose it's never explicitly stated that she doesn't know where the warden is though, just that they're "gone", which could just mean they aren't around to help with the current situation. Could just be that the warden's caught up in whatever has all the other wardens so worked up (would be my guess) or they were called to Weisshaupt at the time.
I'd like to think if the warden had properly disappeared a romanced Leliana (at least) would try to find them, and it doesn't look like that's what she's doing to me...

I guess the only reason I don't feel like Leliana's looking for the warden is because it's never brought up, but there's no reason it would come up I suppose.. I don't know.
