I for one would love to see Leliana again in future DA titles as a companion.

Can't really explain it but I miss the cute little redhead. Morrigan is my favorite love interest and DA character, but Leliana holds a special place in my heart.

It would be really sad if we saw the last of her in Origins...

I just want Bioware to move the story on, but I really dont know what will be going on. Sorry but Rome calls the Britons decided to launch another Invasion so on to Britian I go.

A total war- Dragon Age conversion would be fun dont you think?

@Saying the Warden shouldn't come back because ZOMG I IZ TOO POWEFULS!!!11! Doesn't really make sense since there is no epilogue save from Awakening so the game will not pick up from where Awakening left off and it ignores the entire history of WRPG's that all have found ways to take a very powerful character and make them weak. At the end of Mass Effect you are an invincible god, but in ME2 surprise surprise you get hurt and lose all your power. If she came back but the Warden did not I for one would probably just quit the series out right, that would confirm in my mind they don't give a crap about continuity or player choice in the least.

I really would like it if the story could continue, but every fight ending in the time it takes to say: BLAMO! really takes away from it for me. If they do pull a cheap shot and reset you back to Level 1 then I would be irked but then again Leliana is worth it!

Well if they did that, which they probably will since the Warden's story is not resolved in the least, they'd probably re-tool the entire combat and spell system so you don't feel like you are just building the exact same character again. There would probably be re-tweaked versions of all the specializations as well as new ones so there would be plenty of options to create a new character build.

Who cares about levels and the combat system? Really, DA2 is probably gonna give you a character that is Lv1 anyway. It doesn't matter if your character is imported or not. What matters are the decisions you made.

They can give me any kind of gameplay they want. The story is what's important to me.

The only fans left with real dangling plot points are the Morrigan fans, but Awakening cheesed me off so much its not worth even making canon into the game anymore.

BTW anyone have any good Mage equipment mods they know, I really try to use the better mage stuff but holy crap its ugly, so any mods that dont make a mage look like a bavarian fruit cake are a plus. THKS

Exactly, besides the way they handled the import for Awakening is really telling. Warden's who made the US in the end were imported alive with no explanation for why they lived so essentially they've indicated that The Warden dying in Origins is non-canonical as the story moves forward. And the ending for Awakening all created the same end game state for all Warden characters, regardless of what you did and how you acted in Awakening The Warden leaves Amarathine and never comes back and their LI of choice goes with them.

Well if you're going to import a dead character they can't very well have people acknowledge they are supposed to be dead, now can they? Besides, there is no save game after you kill yourself so if you don't do the ritual and import a save from after that point then they assume Loghain/Alistair died instead because if you're dead then why would you try to keep playing as your zombie character?

Well I've kinda grown to like some of the Mage stuff in Dragon Age, In general though I make my own stuff for my characters. I put my Spirit Healer/Arcane Warrior/Battlemage in a set of Dragonbone Splintmail armor, with minor magical enchantments. I use tmp's tint replacements and I think she looks great, exactly how I envision an armored battlemage.

A modder over on the Nexus forums called Moonwing has a bunch of mage stuff, but It's really different from DA's art style so I don't use it. Although the Blood Harvest Robe looks great on a Blood Mage.

Though it should go without saying that for any PC user the no helmet hack is an absolute necessity for anyone, but mages in particular all the mage cowels and hoods are garbage plain and simple they are beyond repair. The mod will allow you to get the bonuses from the good mage helms but you never have to see your character actually wear the bloody stuff.

This is the question I've been asking myself since Awakening came out.

If people truly wanted their character to do the ultimate sacrifice, then why bother trying to import him in the first place?

Simply start an Orlesian Warden or import an Origins character that didn't die.

The Warden's story is pretty much done after US, so what's the point of asking Bioware to carry your choices into Awakening, especially since those choices don't really matter in the expansion?

I wanted to import my US ending but not my PC.

Simply click on the save to import and if it's the US ending then you should be prompted into the character creator. The choices your previous character made should have been there for the Orlesian Warden to see.

But what choices were imported? Who the dwarven King was is mentioned if you import but is left vague if you don't so you can assume it was who you picked and Alistair is made King which is mentioned only a handful of times. Is it really worth playing a zombie character because you're that attached to Anora as a solo-ruler?

Considering how Awakening ignores 99% of your choices from Origins, there is little to be gained by importing a live Warden (apart from epilogue) and even less by importing a dead one.

I mean, what exactly do you expect them to show?
National holiday to mark the day when Archdemon was defeated? A statue of the Warden in front of every important building or Chantry? Groups of citizens crying their hearts out becaue of your sacrifice?

You body was burned anyway and your statue is in Wissehaupt, so you can't even see that.

6 months after the battle of Denerim most people will have moved on with their daily lives and would hardly even comment on what took place.

It's different when you're actually alive to remind of your deeds.

Who said anything about playing a zombie? I just wanted my character to remain dead and continue playing in the world he/she created with my Orlesian.

I am not upset about it however. The reason is because --as you pointed out-- the only notable thing is Anora's cameo.

The whole importation of choices was a bit of a letdown, so I'm not really holding it against them not to carry over the US.

I am a bit dissapointed, though, by the fact that even imported characters that didn't die got little recognition from the choices they made in origins.

While in ME2 very little actually changed based on your import descions at all, outside of a few charachters or dialouges. While Bioware is promising big for ME3 I am not holding out for much.

Really it dosent matter to me what they do in the next DA as long as it is fun.

I liked the little touches, though. Running into Helena Blake, getting an email from the husband of the woman whose body I had the Alliance return, having that guy from Akuze promise to kill me for working at Cerberus...when I ran into Fist I honestly had no idea who he was until I replayed ME1 which annoyed him. I was fine with not having huge changes but the little things I did get were definitely a nice touch. And watching Anderson order Udina round never gets old...Posted Image

That was funny as hell he practically sends him to his room!

What did bug me was Horizon though, I had a pure paragon from ME1 who romance ashley and he was the first one i imported in ME2 (spoilers ahead)-
After she called me names and ran off, I thought it was over so my poor colonial sole surviover suddenly got hit on by Tali, and I didnt get the apology email till after I said "I dont want anybody else, I want you to Tali" so for a good hour I walked my dog (Golden Retriver FTW) to make up my mind.

In short here's hoping ashley isint packing heat when we meet again. Posted Image

I tried to romance Garrus once in an imported save but then when I went up to the commander's quarters and I saw the face-down picture...I had to dump him. I felt really bad, too, as he was talking about how I was the only friend he still had in the entire galaxy (and I would like to think Tali was standing off to the side somewhere looking annoyed and waiting for him to remember her)...maybe one day I'll manage a single Shepard. Of course, in my current game Liara ninja-romanced me when I told her that yes I was involved with Kaidan and I was so taken-aback that I didn't managed to turn her down. Ah well, I suppose it will happen sooner or later even if I have to wait until they confront me.

Edit: And Ashley ALWAYS packs heat. Posted Image

Leliana has red hair, that is a hard and fast rule. It's as immovable as Morrigan's yellow eyes, Alistair's boy band hair and Zevran's stupid tattoo.

Besides would that look really work as well if she wasn't a redhead?

I really hated how the Romances run in ME compared to Dragon Age, if you want you can be friends with everybody, but in ME if you so much as talk to a member of the opposite sex, they want you!

I romanced frigin everybody with an seperate charachter except for Kaidan, I cant stay loyal to him and his email is laughably bad.
I do wonder what the consequences will be for cheating though? Gasp maybe an email!

edit- Leliana's red hair is one of the reasons I like her, Morrigan's yellow eyes are scawy!

Not for me, that's for sure.

That would as weird as Morrigan suddenly becoming a blond.

Do you know what Ashley's email says?

And I liked Kaidan's...
