Holy crap, Morrigan looks like half the women in Winnipeg now!
BTW Kaidan's email ends with a big MAYBE, and he says "Rember the night before Ilos? That was everything to me" so yah you focused on the first night we did it ok, Garrus get your dextro but over here! I did romance Thane, but Jacobs was terrible.
For those not in the know here is a DA version:
Jacob:Look at this... sneaking into the Warden's tent
Jacob:Heavy risk, but daa prize.
Warden: HHHHUUUUHHH?

Shepard,
I'm sorry for what I said back on Horizon. I spent two years pulling myself back together after you went down with the Normandy. It took me a long time to get over my guilt for surviving and move on. I'd finally let my friends talk me into going out for drinks with a doctor on the Citadel. Nothing serious, but trying to let myself have a life again, you know?
Then I saw you, and everything pulled hard to port. You were standing in front of me, but you were with Cerberus. I guess I really don't know who either of us is anymore. Do you even remember that night before Ilos? That nigh meant everything to me…maybe it meant as much to you. But a lot has changed in the last two years and I can't just put that aside.
But please be careful. I've watched too many people close to me die – on Eden Prime, on Virmie, on Horizen, on the Normandy. I couldn't bear it if I lost you again. If you're still the woman I remember, I know you'll find a way to stop these Collector attacks. But Cerberus is too dangerous to be trusted. Watch yourself.
When things have settled down a little…maybe…I don't know. Just take care.

Kaidan is a lot more anti-Cerberus than Ashley. He focuses on their horrific experiments you discover in ME1 while Ashley thinks they have the right idea as far as human supremacy and her problem stems from their status as terrorists. As such, it makes sense that Kaidan has more issues with you working with them than Ashley does and since he only saw you the once and you defended your decision to work with him (even if it's under duress) then he's understandably uncertain how much you've changed. Not to mention the kind of pedestal I would imagine they've both put you on once you, the savior of the galaxy, were dead for two years.
And yeah, I think Thane's coming to you dialogue was probably the best of all the male LI in ME2 but I really liked Jacob's conversation where he asks you what you've been carrying around all this time and how you get to confess how jarring it is that everyone's moved on and changed so much and you haven't. I really wish you could say that to someone in the game w/out needing to romance them first.
