While you can see something nice in Kaidans email it is so full of fail i literally facepalmed at it. Seriously though the whole climax to Jacob's romance made me want to take a good long shower after that.

What's so unreasonable about Kaidan trying to move on after two years? It's really not healthy to not even make the effort although given the circumstances and his inevitable survivors guilt he hints at it might take longer. The only part I thought was strange was his 'if you're still the woman I remember' when, seeing as how you've been dead, you're exactly who you were at the end of ME1. Unless, of course, he thought Cerberus might have messed with you which is also plausible and which Miranda outright tells you she would have done if TIM hadn't specificically told her not to.

And you didn't like the opportunity to talk about how weird it was that everyone else has moved on while you were frozen in time if nothing else? And having the opportunity to further flesh out your motives by saying that your burden is the pressure of command/survivor's guilt/whatever? That conversation justified the Jacob romance for me.

Here's ashley's entire email btw, Since you appear to be on the subject.

Subject: Hey there.

Shepard-

I'm sorry for what I said back on Horizon. When I lost you two years ago, it tore me up. I prayed for you every day. I read a lot of Tennyson, thinking about you, just like I did when my dad passed. And then you came back, and it was like my prayers were answered. But I'm not who I was then, and neither are you.

I don't know what's true anymore. Part of me can't believe it's really you. I keep going back to that night before Ilos, our night... I haven't let myself think about those memories in over a year.

I wouldn't have expected you to work for Cerberus, but I know why they sent you to Horizon. I saw how many people were lost there, and if anyone can stop the Collectors, you can. I can't go where you're going, but I can wish you luck.

Just stay alive out there... Skipper. I don't know what the future holds, but I can't lose you a second time.

--Ash

Im sorry but Carth 2.0 really annoyed me, the problem is that he says maybe, and focuses on the night they did as the most important.

Also his running off to make a report, while SHepard needs help  and having Garrus stick around sold me on him.
While people can like Car- I mean Kaidan in ME2 he is the face of meh.

Well if you can get past the fact he has the same voice as Carth...Ashley's email focuses on that, too. That's the first time their flirtation actually turned into a full-blown romance and they ignored the regs and it was only a month before Shepard died. Thinking back fondly on their first time together shouldn't really be off-putting, I don't think.

Ashley says "I don't know what the future holds" which is another way of saying "maybe" they can have a proper reunion and hash out their issues and see if they could make another go at a relationship.

And Ashley also goes to leave and make her report instead of staying to help you. Garrus quit C-Sec already and he's done on Omega. Kaidan and Ashley still have jobs to do. You're really being unfair when you rag on Kaidan for the same behavior you overlook or excuse in Ashley. And if you want to bring Tali into this then she has to ask permission from the Fleet before coming along with you and the Migrant Fleet is more open to this idea that the Alliance is so she can come.

It is likely that the night they both refer to was the only night they had together. Seeing as how their relationship is a big no-no to the Alliance. At least, that's my theory as to why they both make such a big deal out of that event.

I really didnt enjoy ME as much as Dragon Age though.

Also I really think Bioware was going for cheap drama on Horizon, I though pre-release that we where going to get something amazing and all we got was mmmmmeeeeeehhhhhhhh.

Well you probably didn't enjoy ME2 as much because Dragon Age is categorically a better game with a stronger story, cast and dialogue system.

I did enjoy the massive improvement in combat, but there are just so many problems with ME2 that I really couldnt enjoy it as much as Dragon Age, or ME1. If I tried to list it all off then I would pop an vein. BUt hey I am really close to finishing a run with my Dalish DW/Archer rouge with Leliana so I will post some pics from the end soon.

I hear that, the combat in Mass Effect was pretty crappy, It was worse on the 360 you pushed the back button to throw a grenade and half the buttons on the controller drew your weapon. Also I've finally committed to playing a game as my new rogue Riona Cousland, I might match her up with Leliana they'd make a nice couple I think plus It will help with my dual rogue archer party.

Well I am off to bed since I have school in the morning but remeber folks Leliana is worth it.

Also on an aside one of my friends in a arts program is redoing his Dalish elf run through with Leliana all in an anima form he saw. Its for his final so I will see if I can post it in about a three weeks it looked amazing.

edit- Adneate your noble looks exactly like one of the nobles in the Landsmeet! Looks like old Bryce was getting around back then. Posted Image

Yes she looks sorta like Alfstanna I know, I know. She looks like all Alfstanna's vanilla, redesigned anything she is Alfstanna Jr. <_< It's because of the hair it's the same style and tint, she's actually a variant of another design I made but she came out really Alfstanna-ey after the fact. I don't care though I like Riona and I don't think she looks that much like Alfstanna. Besides Alfstanna is cool, she does the eyebrow thing and says ". . . Coincidence?"

In the words of Morrigan "I Hate You Sooo Much!"

Oh, yaaaay! I finally see what Ashley's email said! I have a femShep playthrough where Ashley lived, but obviously no email so I had always been curious how hers compared to Kaidan.

The only difference that I see between Kaidan and Ashley's emails is that Kaidan is reeling with shock while Ashley is more composed. The emails are the same, but written in the style that suits each character. I interpreted his "maybe" as him hoping that Shepard's return isn't too good to be true. Ashley's email might be more confident in a reunion, but she can also come across as colder in comparison. The point is, both emails are fine. No need to get into nuances. I have KoToR, but have yet to actually commit to a full playthrough so I've been spared the Carth comparisons that seems to plague those that dislike Kaidan. =p

Other than the voice (same VA) and the military career I really don't see the similarities between the two although I'm a fan of both.

Hello Leliana fans, recently re-discovered Dragon Age and played through in a single weekend. Anyway, can anyone link me to a good Leliana desktop background?

Your warden is close enough to mine that I might use that one for a while

My city elf takes offense at your words! :crying:

Leliana does too, but Morri finds it amusing...
