Cant stand sacred ashes leliana i am sorry, vanilla is the best for me. The only mod I can she ever getting for her is one that darkens her hair more, since in some lights her hair is really bright.
I can't stand vanilla Leliana cause I think it's a bad design, so I think we're even on this thread.
bad design?
Heresy!
heresy, indeed! i agree!
I love original flavor Leliana... ain't nothing like the real thing, baby!

I think it depends on how xenophobic you start off playing your PC. Not every Dalish PC has to be a viciously shem-hating harpy (or the male equivalent). I don't play Dalish characters that way myself.Sarah1281 wrote...
And many people (especially at the Alithread) feel that Alistair being just as polite to them as he is to anyone can pave the way for a complete reevaluation of those shem-hating beliefs.nerdage wrote...
One of the reasons I never played a Dalish past the origin is because I found it hard to justify being so nice to humans, which I can't help doing. And on the plus side, it's helped expand the thread, we have plenty of catching up to do.
On topic, I made a couple videos of Leliana's conversation with a Dalish PC

But the PC has no choice but to confront Leli with hostility at every turn..
Me thinks BW failed at this one

Leliana's 'I haven't seen you carry off and women or children without provocation' doesn't make you think that she was watching to see if you would but has since become satisfied that you won't?Zeleen wrote...

That's what I meant... she observed before she said anything... She could have said this at your first meeting.. "So you are one of those child stealing elves that carry off women!"Sarah1281 wrote...

Once again Sarah this sounds nothing like an actual racist comment, she is simply unaware of what a Dalish is actually like. Only super PC lefties can actually get offended by her comments, which I dont think you are. We all put our feet in our mouth at one time or another, and here is when Leliana does it.

She is a greatly written character bad girl gone good girl with the bad girl skills what is not to like about that might be a pretty generic character, but Bioware certainly did it well.

I don't believe I was trying to restart the 'is Leliana racist' discussion. I was simply trying to explain that with the way she phrased it isn't surprising that all the initial responses are hostile until she backtracks and explains what she means.Giggles_Manically wrote...

Edit: And please do not tell me whether or not I'm 'allowed' to be offended by what she says. You get offended at things I don't think are worth getting upset about, after all, and I don't try to tell you it shouldn't bother you.

Ok.. I am going to start a new game with a male noble Warrior and spec him to play as NPC and use Leli as my main control character... I did this on xbox... and had a lot of fun with it.
My next Human Noble is going to be a 2H named Doraleous, and he will have associates rather than Companions. In fact I will roleplay what Doraleous would do.
WWDD- What Would Doraleous Do?

Shale is funny, but she stinks in the late game. Since you have to raise her constitution to equip high tier crystals whereas you raise strength for Alistair which increases his damage.
Yeah.... maybe I'll just take to cleared areas for the convo she can be funny!
hm... I've never romance Zev as a male... do Leli and Zev have Jealousy convos??

Icky Elf is Icky
They have the jealousy confrontation like everyone else but not random conversation where they make snippy remarks at each other. Leliana will also be very upset very early on if you sleep with Zevran but have a romance over 50 with her, she'll confront you and demand to know what you and Zevran are doing in your tent. If you lie to her she'll find out later and break-up with you and be really mad, and if you tell her the truth she'll be very upset.

Yeah, Morrigan's is much better. She'll be completely shocked that she has to compete for the attentions of a man with another man. Besides they actually do have snippy comments to each other when you are walking around, Leliana only really works with Morrigan since they actually fight over the Warden a lot.
Leliana is the only companion to have jealousy conversations at +50 approval, everyone else has them at +70, so a love triangle with Leliana where you end up not choosing her goes bad really quick.
