19 - 24, as Dwarf Casteless is probably the youngest.

Edit: I know a lot of people will disagree with this.  Many think that the City Elf is about 15, but 20 actually does make a lot more sense.  Shianni is just too grown, and yet she hasn't had a marriage arranged for her yet.  And really, I don't think Bioware would touch the rape of a young teenager.

City Elf/Dalish Elf/Mage - 18 - 20 years old

Human Noble/Dwarf Commenor 21- 23

Dwarf Noble 25 ish.

It's kind of funny that someone so young is leading a group of people most of whom are way older. Not to say that the PC wouldn't be able to lead a group at such an age, but...

Rica is supposed to sound like she's 22. And she's been caring for the Dwarf Casteless which is why I would guess younger. BUT really, it doesn't matter that much. Trian is supposed to be 25, Bhelen 21, but it wouldn't surprise me if they were a little older.

Toolset ages aren't set in stone. The Couslands and Howe are probably 50, not the 40 as stated in there for instance.

Nesiara is also listed as 20.  It really does look like City Elf would be 20 and that 20 is the age where they get married.

Well Sten does try to take over, and Wynne certainly thinks she is in charge at many times. But it is funny that the Warden is the most inexperienced out of many of them yet is the one in charge. Hell even Alistair has more experience than the Warden (combat wise).

It depends on the origin how much it makes sense. The nobles are trained for leading and fighting, I suppose.

The mage, city elf and dwarf commoner is a bit hard to explain. The Dalish... well, maaaaybeee.

Sure does.  Shows just how charismatic the warden must be, that someone that young has that much strength of personality that s/he, even as an elf or dwarf, can get the entire noble class of Ferelden to listen to him/her and allow him/her to decide the fate of their country.

Something to keep on mind though, these are mainly notes for the VO director/manager to give them idea what type of voice person to look for. As such even for younger characters these notes are likely to list numbers in 20+ range, simply because it's easier to both find and work with the VAs who are "certified adults" and the difference in tone of voice isn't very noticeable. So 18-20 is more of 'really young' indication than exact value.

There's similar thing going for children characters -- they're pretty much all set to be in 11-13 age range even though some act way younger than that in the game.

Oh, I understand that.  It's that Shianni is listed as 18, and really comes across as very grown up which is what makes me think 20 is most likely accurate.  15 is just too young.  Shianni IS younger, and I can't imagine that Bioware would actually depict the gang rape of a 13-14 year old.  It's bad enough that it happens to an 18 year old.

Edit: But I also did point out some of the ages are blatantly wrong.  Couslands, Howe, they're definitely wrong.  Alistair is confirmed wrong.  So there's nothing set in stone here.

Most the origins being around 20 though just makes sense.

It's not so crazy, Alexander the Great was only 20 when he became King of Macedon, he was the greatest general of his time dispite being only in his 20s his army followed him literally to the ends of the Earth. Some people can rise to the challenges of leadership with ease they emminate an atmosphere of control and level headedness. It's not that they know all the answers it's that they make decisions quickly and without you seeing their internal decision making process, age tends to have little to do with it. Some people can lead, others cannot no matter how old they get.

When it comes to Shianni i was under impression she's mostly mentally older as result of growing up with Soris without parents while PC still had father to take care of them. But that's pretty much all just personal interpretation based off dialogue choices i did and what is (and isn't) shown in the game, i actually like the settings are left vague enough there's pretty wide room for defining the PC and their backstory.

Ahh; i chalked it up to that family thing -- the PC has father who shells out the money to bring them the spouse, but if Shianni is lacking parents then it's up to the elder to arrange the marriage, typically with some local elf. And i imagine her drinking habits and smart*** mouth make her a tough candidate to sell, or maybe she just isn't afraid to turn down the ones she doesn't fancy.

But she's still younger!  Seriously! 

And 15, no, WAY too young!  *grin*  18 is the absolute youngest I'd go for (but Soris is supposed to be the warden's best friend, male or female, so yeh, I stick with 20).

I see it this way.  Elf hits marrying age, either parents make the arrangements, or the elders do.  And since Nelaros is supposed to be 20 (as is, gah, Nesira or whatever her name is -- toolset isn't open), it still seems to hold!

Ok, letting it go now!

Also does the Warden Runic armour pop up after Ostagar since it runs perfectly fine on all my other saves yet my newest one dosent have it yet. I am still not done Ostagar yet.
