When I did her hardening dialouge I don't think her vision even came up. We just talked about how she was a bard and there was no point hiding from it and she didn't belong in the Chantry. Leliana knows you don't really believe in her vision and no one else does whenever the subject comes up and she manages to insist she had a real vision when the guardian questions her. Her quandry after Marjolaine isn't about her faith but about whether or not she should embrace or shy away from some of her more bardic tendencies.

Where do you find all the dialouge in the toolset, right now I am reading up on mods, and using the toolset. Since everyone has pointed out things that really improve the vanilla game.

File > Manage Modules > Single Player

You should see  a "Palette Window" on your screen (if not, then go to View > Palette to get it to show up). Click on the balloon icon to access the in-game dialogue. Basically things are categoried by location and then by the person that starts the conversation tree. To find the Sten conversation I listed above, you'd need to go to:

Paragon of Her Kind > orz340ar_assembly > orz340_vartag

Then just look for the line that starts with Vartag saying: "You're awfully bold, walking right up to me after coming out against Prince Bhelen in the Proving."

You should get the idea. If you go to Followers > Sten, you'll see dialogue that indicates that Sten was supposed to beat you in the duel at Haven (rather than kill you outright) and the people in your party were to tell him they weren't about to accept him as their new leader. He actually leaves the party at this point so I would daresay this was his crisis moment.

How was he supposed to defeat unless, it went to a cutscene?

Gilsa is there a lot of dialouge that didnt make it into the game, and all that the various dialouge patches do is put them back in?

The cutscene was supposed to trigger when either Sten or the PC hitpoints went to 0. Same way you beat Loghain in a duel and he yields to you.



Yes, a lot of dialogue didn't make it into the game and there are fixes by several modders who clean things up. Alistair would refer to himself as king even if he wasn't so that got fixed. My dwarf noble is supposed to be able to tell Gorim in Denerim that she's in love with the king of Ferelden, but the coding prevents that line from firing. Zevran was giving the wrong speech at the gates before you went off to the archdemon, etc. Morrigan was also bugged with several of her speeches and that got cleaned up. There is no one all-encompassing mod that fixes everything in the game so you'd have to download from modders that are specializing in companions and such.

Another big example of "the obvious" not making it into the game, but is reflected in the toolset is that Hespith actually commits suicide after you kill the Broodmother. She's supposed to jump off the ledge to her death after she finishes talking to the warden, but all we see in the game is her walking off.

Some of the mistakes in dialogue are really silly, like the persuade option when Cauthrien confronts you at the Landsmeet checking your Poison-Making, or one of Leliana's lines when talking to caged Sten trying to see if Loghain is in your party.

Ah, I did not know that. I thought she walked off to become one of the Broodmothers and her final speech was her becoming resigned to the fate. That makes so much more sense though.

Ah, I did not know that. I thought she walked off to become one of the Broodmothers and her final speech was her becoming resigned to the fate. That makes so much more sense though.

Wow, did not realize that. I guess it would work either way though- with her walking off kind of resigned to her fate or trying to avoid her fate by offing herself. Interesting, nevertheless.

Its little things like that which I'd really really like to see officially fixed by BioWare in patches. I know they prioritize the big technical bugs, but when so many little things like all of the dialogue bugs leak through, they can cumulatively add up to weaken the game.

Since Bioware is owned by EA no bugs will be fixed, they are now going to focus on brining in the next DA,ME, and TOR games out. There is no profit to be made in patching games from EA's perspective. So I will not be holding out hope for one.

Bahaha, it amused me too. And thanks, I usually am against morphs but since I use her default hairstyles on my characters so often I figured I might as well go ahead and switch her up a bit. I'm excited to romance her with my femdwarf now, this was a test run ;D

You can just save before the Ashes and do it to get the specialization and then load the save and do it right and continue the game.

Of course, Reaver is a really crappy specialization anyway.

Berserker is the best Specilization period for Warriors.

Champion and Templar are tied up, both with either great buffs or aids.

Reaver is just way to finicky and only good in certain fights for me.



A good Healer on a party can keep any tank going, Reaver cant top Berserker for me.
