She is quite lovely but one thing i don't appreciate about her is her combat skills.

Funny thing is there are plenty of people alive in Amaranthine. Even funnier is the fact that if you fully upgraded the Vigil it will withstand the siege without your help.

As for the Architect, sparing him seems to give the best short term results. What the effect of that decision will be in the long term remains to be seen.

I spared him on my canon Warden. Let's hope I don't regret it...

Nothing from Awakening is going forward, since there is no epilouge save ala Origins. Unless we get stupidly killed off, and reserected like in ME2.

Anyways, I burned Amaranthine and let the Architect live. I couldn't bring myself to kill something that rare and intelligent.

I killed him, in fact I'll never let him live. Darkspawn are souless abominations worthy of only one thing, death. The conflict with the Darkspawn can only end one way, either they kill all the other races or the other races wipe them out. The darkspawn by their very nature cannot co-exist with other races, their mere presence causes disease and they are utterly incapable of reproducing without horrifically transforming other spieces. The Architect is an idiot for believing the Darkspawn are capable of anything other than war, death and misery.

If we do import our Warden into DA2, expect the import to be similar to ME1 -> ME2.

Your choices, origins, romances, class and race carry over, but you start at level 1.

While I doubt they'll have us die and be brought back to life, this is a fantasy setting so there are plenty of ways to make you level your character again.

But yes, the save we'll import is most likely going to be the epilogue save from Origins, since none of our actions in Awakening really matter in the grand scheme of things.

Ofc, all of this depends on whether or not we'll actually play as the Warden in DA2.

That's the biggest question of all. From a purely technical standpoint it's 100% possible to preform an import process identical to Mass Effect 2, the savegame files contain all the plot flags. It's merely a matter of choosing which plot flags to copy to the import character, Awakening's import process isn't exactly the same since it's in the same game and the save is just duplicated for the expansion. But for Mass Effect 2 you create a new save file but before hand a utility creates specialized copies containing vital plot flags to be applied to the new save.

Leliana is awsome in her new Devout armour. Most mobs are now pathetic, a grandmaster paralyze run and 2H sweep is leet,

Ya, umm i just did it over, saved amaranthine and there were still a ton of people left alive. All my companions survived besides Justice. Then I went and killed the Architect and I think I like this ending more. It was like 2 o'clock last night, so that might have influenced my decisions.

Also, I looked and there doesn't appear to be an epilogue save?? So... does nothing get transferred over? My only complaint about the expansion besides the odd dialogue system is the abrupt ending. I would have liked to have gone back and hear from my companions.

O well. Bloody good fun. I defeated the Mother with only 2 other companions. So that was fun.

I beat Awakenings and I really, really enjoyed all of it. A wonderful expansion. I have no idea what you guys were butt hurt about.

Well I just beat ME2 and I thought it was better than ME1 in every way and enjoyable the whole way through. My only gripe, and it's not even really a gripe, is the final boss had me pissing myself laughing which made it really hard to kill because I thought I was going to die of laughter. Does thinking ME2 is great make me a bad person?

I loved Mass Effect but only two really things detracted from it:

Morality based persuasion?

Lack of any real dialouge if not romancing that person. (2 convos for Garrus?)

Besides that bloody good fun and sticking it to Timmy was great fun. Although my only renegade turned into Paragrade at the end.

I went pretty much 100% renegade with everything, since I think Renegade is way more fun than Paragon. Mass Effect 1 had morality based persuasion as well you had to have so much Renegade or Paragon in order to level up the Charm or Intimidate scores, ME2 just reduces it to one stat. As for the Dialogue well ME1 was pretty skimpy on it as well, so I didn't care less talking more shooting and pushing people out skyscraper windows.

See I like Renegade as well, intimdating people is all well and go but I am a restrained renegade. Also I pick up a lot of paragon for being nice to my crew (Gardner, Ken & Gabby FTW).

Although then interupt where you break a guys neck and blow up two others is awsome.

I do like not sounding like a pansy or being a pushover though, espercially paragoning that damn rasicist volus and Zaeed.

The best Renegade options involve mowing people down with gunfire, like all those Batarians or those Mercs for Miranda's loyalty mission but shoving the Eclipse merc out of the tower window in Thane's recruitment mission is still my personal fav. I only held back once when beating the crap out of that dude for Thane's loyalty mission, I had already beat him pretty badly when the option came up to hit him again but I didn't cause I thought I might kill him which I wasn't opposed to just I didn't get the info I wanted yet.

There are some awesome lines your companions have if you go renegade.

when you push that merc out the window and have Jack in your group, she'll comment: "Damn Shepard. I should take notes from you!"

if you got your specter status while doing the interrogation, you can immediately inform the poor bastard of it and he'll spill the beans right off.

Thane will comment that it's the fastest interrrogation ever.

I like the Paragon ends to things more so:

Miranda for example gets to talk to her sister very touching (PARAGON)

Miranda wobbles for a bit SHEP: Lets just go.

I have yet to slug that reporter but when ME3 rolls around I may do it, what an arse.

Well lets just hope Dragon Age 2 doesn't go the same way Mass Effect 2 went.

Unless you actually want your Warden to end up working primarily for the Antivan Crows.

Were they afraid to make Leli an out lesbian in the game? She's datable by either but all of the comments i've heard from her involve other females...and then there was that conversation with Morrigan.

I don't know, Leliana seems to be more comfortable with a female warden and she's a bit more flirty towards women as opposed to men. And people here have pointed out that Leliana will "ignore" obvious passes made by male characters but will actively seek out a female warden with the "Hair Conversation". Prehaps they decided to make Leliana bisexual a bit later in the character's development so that both genders will have an equal number of potential romantic options. Personally I think Leliana prefers women over men, but will make an exception for a male warden since she feels very close to him.

I could've sworn there was an official statement to that effect, though I can't remember where.  Maybe her official wiki? *shrug*

It seem like Bioware likes to tiptoe up to the line with sexuality but then gets cold feet and won't cross over.

Well they made Wade and Herren openly gay.
I do know if my only male romance options were Morri and Zev, I'd probably have cut my # of playthroughs in half :P

Mainly from homophobes who would go FOXNEWS on them. I dont see why someones sexuality is a problem though, and I grew up in a very traditional christian home. I mean as long as they arent yelling at me about it, why should I yell at them? One of the guys I worked with last summer was gay, and he was pretty cool. That may put me in the miniority it seems, but something you do in private really shouldnt be offensive.

-On an aside Leliana as a Ranger is awsome, I like to call the bear Mr. Wiggles for some reason, plus it does as much damage as me or shale right now.

-Anyone of you have an opionion about Yusaris vs Ageless? Right now I think I will keep Yusaris and give Oghern Ageless.

Well I guess they don't want all those religious fanatics and stupid idiots coming to **** them out for portraying homosexual relationships as every bit as healthy and loving as a heterosexual realationship. However people as stupid as that wouldn't really be pursuaded by half measures, so I don't know if that's why they didn't make Leliana gay. I have to assume it's for gameplay reasons rather than political reasons, they didn't want male characters to feel forced into the Morrigan romance so they had to offer an alternative.
