Actually, as long as it's kept as a silhoutte, nobody who didn't know it's supposed to be an Asari has any reason to believe it's anything else than a (human) woman with a wild haircut.
In ME1 I always thought it was a purposefully vague sihoutte that could be interpreted as an Asari (scalp), a human woman (haircut + hairgel) or a Turian female (fringe). Gotta make money off the most people possible, right?
