you know you could modify it a bit and make it more the "trucker babe" style so people don't get confused in matters of anatomy, Chora's Den logo is too....obscure I think to portray a definite feminine figure.

Who's doing the tattoo?? Have you looked into different artists, to see what kind of styles they have?

No idea yet, will be looking into it, wanna find a really good one even if it costs more.
I rather have it done right then go the cheapest way.

I would research various artists, and really look into the world of tattooing, for a decent amount of time first, if you haven't already done so! If you do that, I'll bet you'll want something different. I can see some artists being able to do some amazing stuff with ME material...

If they're good artists, then they may not like the pic... You might want to be mentally prepared for rejection... Maybe you should bring more than just that picture... a few pics of asari and general source material - a good artist may come up with something that's vastly more interesting than that pic...

Hmm it would be cool to see what one of these guys could do... East Tattoo. Sadly they're in Taiwan :((

Speaking as someone who occasionally gets paid for graphic design work, I'd say listen to the artist. Not that you shouldn't get them to do what you want, of course. But an artist knows the limitations of their medium, and everyone has a particular style they're best at. First, look for someone whose work approximates the "look" you want. Then show them lots of source material, as well as the specific picture you want. Who knows, they might come back with something that you like even better.

But no matter what, unless you're in love with the sketch they show you, don't have it done. A tattoo isn't a painting-- you can't take it off the wall if you decide you don't like it.

Very true SuperMedbh. It is so so very important to look at various artists out there. You may think you want that now - and that may still be the case even after researching, in which case, fair enough - but since you haven't looked around yet, there's a huge potential there for your mind to be changed!

I'm sure SuperMedbh will agree that while an initial design idea might seem great at first, after doing some research, it's not unusual for a better solution to come about...

I would think most tattoo artists DO care what work they do - especially at conventions - whether that should or shouldn't be the case is rather irrelevant, as that's just the reality, like it or not... at least for very good artists, it's not uncommon for them to turn down work they don't like (with the demand they get, they can get away with it!). And if you're going to get a tattoo, it should be done by nothing less than a very good artist!

I was thinking of getting an N7 tattoo myself. On my upper right arm. I'm not sure yet. Been saying I want a tattoo for years but have yet to decide if I wanna do it lol. Not because I'm afraid of regretting, but because I'm afraid of needles.. o.o

Pick your tattooist carefully. You dont want to end up like some of these people.
