That's why I modded my game and I pretend not to hear that line. All weapons, except heavies, use the good old weapon overheat system - only the geth and collector assault rifles are ammo clip based - I guessed they use a different type of technology, plus some variation.

Now this is the kind of thing that pisses me off.  If you think you know so much more than the game developers about how to make a good game, then make your own damn game.  Don't mod someone else's.

It's still fun, if you ask me. At least (hopefully) Bioware realises they need to be a bit mroe careful if they want to please their hardcore fanbase.

A certain road to suicide in any commercial endeavor, with their being outnumbered by casual fans by an order of magnitude. The worst thing a property can do, financially, is cater to the hardcore fan base.

The question of "how can there be thermal clips on Jacob's loyalty mission" is is easily answered: gameplay mechanics. If there weren't any thermal clips down there, you'd be complaining about how the mission was too hard since you would keep running out of ammo.

Oh go and cry me a bloomin' river. It is no business of yours whatsoever if the guy chooses to mod the game. The developers don't mind it, he's obviously gaining enjoyment out of it, and his example may well inspire other gamers to try out modding too.

If he likes the game but would prefer to play around with the stats or the features rather than use them as stock, why the hell should he try to create an entire game just to satisfy your yapping? Geez...
