I have evenly spaced black lines that are on shepards armor. Also, faces have either flickering textures, or are flat grey. I have no idea what is going on- any suggestions? My comp meets the minimum, and i was able to run ME1 maxed at 800x600, yeah its low res, but it was good framerate.
Really strange black bars and textures flickering on faces

I didn't realize that Intel wasn't supported- there lies my problem I believe. I can still run it though, I just have these annoying zebra stripes on Shepard. If anyone knows any .ini tweaks that could help lower end comps, they would be greatly appreciated.

There are no tweaks as far as I know and I doubt someone made some with Intel chipsets in mind because so far you're the second person on this board who managed to run mass Effect 2 on an Intel chipset. Just a tip for the future: There are no recent games except for The Sims 3 that support Intel chipsets. If you have a modern mother board with a PCI-e 16 x slot then you could spend some cash on a decent graphics card and a new power supply and you're good to go for a couple of years if the rest of your specs are good.

What Intel chipsets are we talking about? CPU or video? I run ME2 and every other game I have on an Intel dual core CPU - works perfectly - that's not a problem! An Intel video chipset probably is! What video card are you using and how much memory does it have? That seems more likely to be the cause of the display issues you are seeing...
If your video card was maxed out at 800x600 for Me1 - I'd guess that it is way too constrained to do justice to the more complex displays in ME2. I play ME2 at 1680x1050 with a GeForce 9800-GT (512MB) and all video settings maxed out - and it looks great. Even if you have an old machine, you may be able to find a better video card cheap on the surplus market. That's what I usually do, buy last year's card for $50 once something better has come out.
Probably no tweaks to over come insufficient video hardware...
Good luck!

The only time that Intel video is not as previously descibed here in this thread, as a "Chipset" is when it sits inside the i3 or i5 package with that processor.
Intel i3 / i5 with "IGP":

I probably should edit my article for that second link, to bring it more up to date (been done now).
IMO, despite the compartative speed increase, that still doesn't bring Intel to quite an equal footing with the AMD chipset's HD 4200, and it's certainly not a "game-capable" device (nor does any company's IGP meet that definition in my book).

I am on a laptop, with an Intel integrated graphics chipset, which is absolutely terrible for gaming. Ive done major tweaks with other games to get them to run fine. At this point Ive got ME2 running, but it certainly isn't pretty. At this point I need to just build another comp. Thanks for the help guys!
