Anyone mind helping me out here?  Problem is, I have an outdoor
terrain area I'm trying to export, but for some reason which I cannot
figure out, the local post keeps failing. Here are the messages that
keep popping up:
E: 12:46:33 - Local Posts Failed!
S: 12:46:33 -
Export Summary, 1 Requested, 0 Success, 0 Skipped, 1 Failed.  Please see
below for more details.
I: 12:46:33 - Offers.xml file has been
updated successfully.
I: 12:46:33 - AddIns.xml file has been updated
successfully.
I: 12:46:33 - PostProcessing
E: 12:46:33 - 001.lvl -
Exporter FAILED for resource: 001.lvl
W: 12:46:33 - SanityCheck: No
lightmap atlases found. Using legacy non-atlased lightmap data instead.
W:
12:46:33 - No lightmap atlas found. Falling back to display legacy
lightmaps in editor.
I: 12:46:33 - Starting local export and post...

I'd
really appreciate it if anyone would help me with this.

not sure if youve already done some of these steps:

name your layout (click Area object, just below Terrain World in the left pane, and choose a layout name)

place lights

render lightmaps (little orange bulb icon) (this is whats generating your error since you havent done this step)

post all to local again

I did all of that. If I didn't, it would have shown up in log. What I posted was everything that it said went wrong. All my indoor layouts worked, but for some reason none of my outdoor ones will export. I did everything, posted lights, posted a start point, named the level, did the walkmeshes, rendered lightmaps, and...it is giving me this error still.

I figure what is probably my problem is the fact that I've been naming the area in "exportable area properties". I looked under Terrain world, and there are no area objects. I tried rightclicking and inserting one to see if that's what I was doing wrong, but no dice.

which button do you use: "do all export operations" or "do all local posts"?

before posting your level to local you have to render your lightmaps. it's the third button from left at the second toolbar row. does rendering your lights result in any errors? did you render your light probes? it's the button which looks like a little black turtle

and at least: did you define your area borders and entered the name of your starting point within the exportable area properties?

Here is everything I did:
Created new area, set a start point, and added two lights (ambient, and a static point light), went to add exportable area, typed a name, layout name, and startpoint name, define area, losed out of the window, clicked "generate pathfinding for active area", clicked "render lightmaps", when that was finished, clicked "render light probes",  when that was finished, clicked "Do all local posts".  I got absolutely no errors besides the ones I posted in the OP when I tried posting to local.

thanks for providing your steps. i tried to reproduce, but other than getting a "you must save warning" which cleared after saving, I was not able to reproduce your error. sorry.

All I can suggest is check your lighting directories and see if something is up with them. you should have some files in at least some of these locations (many you wont have since your post to local was unsuccessful):
