money grabbing dlc? how exactly are you forced to buy any of the dlc? it's all optional. damn these companies for wanting to make money. if the product is garbage, no one will buy it. if it's good, people will. speak with your wallet, not behind a screen name.PanosSmirnakos wrote...
Well try harder Mr. Woo because with the upcoming releases of the Witcher 2 and Diablo 3 you're going to lose many good customers (including myself) and your good name in the market if you 'll keep up with this terrible customer support / treatment, money grabbing DLCs and buggy, rushed and unpolished expansions. The PC gamers, at least.

Uhh, cool, I suppose?
"Keep watching for additional details" makes it sound like you just wrote this to silence the community in regards on bigger bugs which most-likely won't get fixed.
Honestly, I don't expect much and I'm pretty sure the additional details on the bugfixes will be as disappointing as the last time Bioware had a counter running for a full week, announcing an "epic event", just to punch us with the BioWare Bazaar in the face afterwards.

With your logic no one forces you to buy a full game too... Surely you have bought something which wasn't worth your money and your free time and you had regrets about it. You didn't get my point and you especially focused to the dlc part of my post because you had the easy and cliche reply for it. Anyway, that's my opinion about it.bzombo wrote...

Relax. It's entirely due to people wanting things that aren't broken to be fixed. The only two things I want are:
Mabari packs can STILL overwhelm you to death.
The Crash-A-Thon stops me playing the game, though it seems prevalent in Orzammar.
On a side note, when people were saying the game crashes at/after the Landsmeet, I never had that problem.
But I do like the way it doesn't take all effing day to crash to desktop like some other games I can mention.
No No NOOO! You're wrong, wrong, wrong! I honestly, truly am trying to hold back but then people like you come around with ridiculously idiotic statements like this. Here's the link again! Now go read it and educate yourself and stop telling me that I'm asking for a solution to problems that don't exist.
And that's just the Xbox log! ARGHHHHH!

I have watched this discussion from the beginning, and though I usually don't comment, just read, I felt that it might be helpful to the discussion to insert some English teacher/Socratic discussion into the debate.

I think it was nice that they at least let ya know they have some things fixed, and a LOT more are being done. Have some patience people. They could of just stayed completely silent and told you nothing at all like MANY other gaming companies.

Actually, in a 'complaint and patch release thread', I can, because it's relevant to the topic. I.e. No bugs in the game, say so in the patch thread to help the patch development along. However, complaining about a post saying so, not so helpful and very unneeded.
Unless you're playing the PC version, there are most certainly bugs in your game. You simply haven't sold enough items or saved enough times to encounter them the same way XBox 360 owners have.
When Bioware acknowledges bugs, then you come in and say "I have no bugs" in an effort to "help patch development" you're not actually helping. You're setting the process back, in fact.

Very very true. Most don't seem to be satisfied with that, though, which doesn't make any sense. They very well could have stayed silent until the patch was ready, but after what has been going on in this thread, it probably wouldn't have made a difference. Like Mr. Woo said, if they let them know or not, it doesn't matter one bit. "Damned if you do, damned if you don't" comes to mind..

I do play the PC version, in fact and I've saved so many times that I've actually had to delete some so I could continue saving. And I sell stuff A LOT, so that's not it either.
Oh, and ANY info on it is helpful. I've already submitted my rig info and all my game info (DLC, mods, ect.) to help even further. What ISN'T helpful is attacking people for saying they have no bugs.

such a demanding crowd.
Too bad many people can never seem to be grateful for getting things that people are not required to give.*so many parents can dump thier kid on someone else*child services* or on the street depending on where you live*
Like they care that much if you do not buy DA2.or expansions.
if it looks good you will buy it regardless of customer service.
We gamers are a whiny lot.
I have enjoyed the game thoroughly and not bought any expansions.
If DA2 looks great il buy it for a good deal if i can.
Do not mind me.
Hope to see more patches.

I made a statement of fact. You can read whatever level of emotion you want out of it as there is none.
Actually, our business is not complete. We have a contract. Currently, Bioware has not performed (legal term) on said contract. I paid for a product. It stated it would do "X." It does not do "X." Simple enough no?

* Awakening retail patch creates an issue with other patches: For me it means a broken game playable only in slow motion (impossible to attack or do any tactics), 2 minute full pauses and freezing. For other people "Loading saved data" becomes the only screen they see. Other people are still experiencing crashes
* PS3 overall framerate is painful: This thread has been asking for a fix since launch.
* Locked Saved Games: Please unlock the saves, with data corrupting bugs and the like we obviously need backups. Sacred 2, WKC and RE5 all unlocked via patch so this is possible.
As of now, me and many other ps3 players are stuck with a game we would like to but cannot play, which means I also can't buy any dlc. All because I supported Bioware and bought Awakening even though it didn't strike me as a good deal or a great idea.
Please work on it!

Any news on any of the PS3 issues Victor? I've been chasing your responses and you never answer in the same thread afterwards. I'm gonna have to get a lazo or something

please post that contract and the specific things that are required of them and tell me what they are not doing.
Ok, now you're being silly. Some basic business law (college level) would do you a lot of good. However, I'm not a lawyer nor a legal expert (though I'm a Purchasing Agent which means I sometimes help negotiate and sign contracts on behalf of a $120 million dollar a year corporation.....ahem) and going further on said topic is actually not appropriate to these forums (as I've seen Stanley lock quite a few of them down in the past) so I'm going to stop there.
However, my post about an hour ago or so in this thread should show you a fairly comprehensive list of the issues I'm describing.
Edit: In case I wasn't clear enough. All I was saying is not all contracts are typed up in neat paragraphs. There's always a lot more going on than just what's on the "paper." And I don't feel like getting a 24 hour ban so I'm not going to take this further.

Careful there Victor, it's already Friday in some time zones. No matter how vague the statement, the rabid hordes TM are going to skin you alive if there's no patch in 5 minutes ; )
