@Fera: No problem lol.. Just thought I would let you know what the environment in here was like.. You can get flamed in here for literally anything..

Pfft do I look worried? :D  hehehe

Not really.. I'm just saying that because I got flamed for absolutely no reason at all.. I guess the guy just wanted something/someone to yell at..

Wasn't me this time I don't think. I genuinely thought you were pointing that comment at me last time (couple days ago). They we went back and forth and made Stanley mad..... I stopped soon as I realized I was the confused one. Even directly opposed people can usually find some common ground. If we couldn't, society wouldn't exist.

Ok, I'm going to try to be optimistic again. Wow, that's twice in the same day. I'm going to imagine it's tomorrow and a "signficant" (whatever that means to you) number of bugs gets added to the fixed list. Mmmmmmm. Gravy....

No, wasn't you Wicked. We're actually getting along today :P lol.. This was directed at the guy that started attacking me simply because I said I don't have any bugs in DA (PC Version).

No?  You just did it again.

I quote things that I respond to. Unlike you who skip over things I have said and steer the conversation whichever way suits your mood which is rather discourteous to our correspondent.

Remind...me...whats this thread about again?   Is it a thread about Fera  or a thread about the next Dragon Age Patch Release?

It's about the release of a patch. I'm sorry if you are having troubles with your attention span.

I think you have your wires crossed.

Actually, I think you do, since you can't remember what the thread is about?

I'll remember when you stop referring to ME specifically and get back on topic.    Right O?

Devs have been in the Tech forums.

Ah, but many of the people claiming they haven't been are saying it because there have been very few developer posts in the tech support forums. For some people, like you and me, it's a given that the developers will lurk in the forums to see what people are reporting; other people need to see the Bioware logo for them to know that the thread have been noticed.

Issues that we would like the patch to address (PS3)

* Awakening retail patch creates an issue with other patches: For me it means a broken game playable only in slow motion (impossible to attack or do any tactics), 2 minute full pauses and freezing. For other people "Loading saved data" becomes the only screen they see. Other people are still experiencing crashes

* PS3 overall framerate is painful: This thread has been asking for a fix since launch.

* Locked Saved Games: Please unlock the saves, with data corrupting bugs and the like we obviously need backups. Sacred 2, WKC and RE5 all unlocked via patch so this is possible.

As of now, me and many other ps3 players are stuck with a game we would like to but cannot play, which means I also can't buy any dlc. All because I supported Bioware and bought Awakening even though it didn't strike me as a good deal or a great idea.

Please work on it!

You stuck your head in this thread just specifically to criticize my English grammar........it has nothing to do with this patch thread...AT ALL.

Actually I'm just referencing the way you act childish when people critique you in any manner.  I made an innocent comment months ago about that subject, you got upset, then accused me of stalking you when I wouldn't back down from your bullying nature.  The only reason I brought it up again is because you're treating another person with that same amount of disrespect, in a thread I am paying attention to.

Agreed ..most folks don't hang out there in the tech forums,   I've gone myself to post problems, but then I leave again.    Nary a sign that anyone official is "lurking" there, however.     Perhaps thats the problem.

Some,  perhaps need visible proof that "something" is happening.    I mentioned earlier that I hoped that ..would be rectified.

You might need to ask Bioware about that.

I do hope bugs get fixed. Unfortunately, I'm suspecting that bugs are low priority based on the relatively smaller number of complaints. I also suspect the fast schedule for the sequel is making it hard for them to allocate a lot of resources towards the bugs.

Games are disposable entertainment. It's not like server software or a major office release, so I have a feeling it's not going to be treated the same way as software. Either that, or the whole console approval process slows things down.

Well, lets see...prove yourself to be a mature person and not respond to this note.  I don't care if you post, but I do care if you stop acting paranoid towards your fellow posters and trying to get the last word in edgewise by saying "Get back on Topic" or "I will ignore anything you say" and then responding.

Crap, I actually agree with both of you (not Arrtis :P) on this one. Yes Joey, I do think that the apocalyse is coming soon now....

The bolded-underlined section is exactly what we've been ranting about in those tech forums for months. I happened to pass by the PC tech forum on a day when someone from Bioware WAS actually posting in there last week (shocking!) named Nathan and it was a pretty good discussion. He said that he'd pass along the message. BLAMO! Next day (or two days after, can't remember) we had this thread. So yes, please understand that we've been asking for this for a long time so this is merely the first step in what many of us hope is a radical change in the way information is handled on their end.

i propose we have a bioware symbol at the corner of each forum that disappears at the start of a new day and reappears when a dev or mod visits.
I think that can work.

Indeed. Same thing with happened with RTO release schedule.

That is quite a good idea, but how would we see historic responses? Maybe something said in page 1 is relevant as well as page 5 and page 67 of a thread. Mhm...

The one point I think Bioware should start studying is the effect of the forums, particularly communicating the bugs.

I hate to say it, but lately I think everything is being passed through a press-release type filter. Granted, all companies do that, but I'm finding that I am enjoying things like the Valve-style of releases, where you don't expect something and they grant you a surprise (the portal ARG), and where bugs are fixed in a rather quick manner, rather than the way things like Awakenings were handled, where you have a very calculated press release structure and a media blackout before set dates, and you have the forum countdown promo that actually pissed off a lot of people.

Its a fine line, and I understand the difficulties involved, but I think we need to get back to a more organic style of communicating these things--bugs, features, new releases, with the audience.

I don't like the drive-by "Fix your bugs you @&#!&#" types of threads, as some of these guys have never understood how difficult it is to create good bug-free software, but there's also a need to communicate the urgency of these issues, even if you have to suck up the negative pub and say "we can't afford the manpower to fix them, we are working on the new game" or some sort of honesty in that regard.  (Not that I'm saying that's the case in this regard).

Who's off topic now.  :P

(But yeah, that would probably be a good idea, why do they have so much block features with the profiles and yet not allow forum users to ignore each other).
